Hey, everyone! I am very excited that I will be having a beautiful baby boy in just two months! I am married and have a step-daughter, Ashley, who is 11, and can't wait to have a little brother. His name is going to be Chase Michael Collins. I feel like I have been pregnant forever, but now I am 31 weeks and my baby will be here so soon! I have been very lucky because I have had such a smooth pregnancy, with no problems at all. I didn't get morning sickness, heartburn, swollen anything(yet), or any of the horrible things some women have to go through! I just have a belly that seems to be getting bigger everyday.

33 weeks now, and I feel really big and really pregnant. It's so weird, I am going to have a son so soon. I have been going to the doctor every two weeks, they never really do anything but ask if everything is ok, and check the heart rate. I wish I could get a 4D ultrasound, but they don't have any places that do them in my area. : ( The only complaint I have is my one of my legs is really sore all the time and I don't understand why. And I always wonder why everyone says their baby is kicking so hard it hurts, cause when mine is moving it feels fine, not painful. Actually, one more complaint-- I can't find ever find anything to wear!! Either everthing is too big(maternity pants) or waayyy too small... ha ha

Chase is 6 weeks old now, and I am so in love! He is such a good child, doesn't really cry, and sleeps pretty good at night, although he hates the bassinet so he usually ends up in the bed... I have alot of new pics, so check them out.

I know what you mean about feeling guilty about co sleeping. My hubby was worried too. He went to Dr. Sears.com to see what they had to say about it. He printed out the article for me. In it he talked about his own experiences with it and also related the stories of nurses with kids who did the same thing. They talked about all the benefits to the baby, not to mention to the parents, since we get better sleep this way too. It made me feel like I was such a good mom after reading all that. It was like you're doing something right. Before, I was nervous about telling other moms but now I tell people all the time now that we co sleep. It's awesome!!

Yeah, 10 ounces is a lot, but it had been about 8 hours! I still have a lot of it left, which is great since normally I'm stuck nursing every two hours, and now if I ever need to do something I have a little flexibility. Breastfeeding is so tough.

Thank you for responding, I am feeling much better knowing that most women feel great about 6-7 weeks after. Gives me hope for getting back to some kind of normal! Thanks again, and you have a beautiful baby!

I found the Hooray 4 Boobies shirt on a website www.shirts4squirts.com

I know! I loved her when she was still in the belly but the first time I saw her it was this whole new love that I couldn't even imagine.

A friend of mine bought that one for her. She has a whole bunch of funny onesies. One has a picture of a crib on it and it says "Party at my Crib" . She also has one that says Am I cute or Am I cute? And a few others. They were all gifts from people. When I find out I will let you know! There are a few places you can get funny shirts for babies that I know of. One of them is www.tshirthell.com

Congrats on your little one! They are so much fun!

Yeah, 10 hours is long, especially when you throw a 1/2 lunch in and then if you get stuck there late you are looking at 11 to 12 hour days. I will totally miss him . This way though I can only work 3 days a week and still make 30 hrs which is considered full time at my work so I still get insurance and such.

That is so cool you and your friend had babies on the same day. This girl at my work was due a month after me and she had her baby the day after me at the same hospital so I stopped by her room and said hi. That was kind of fun.

Oh that is so cool that your hubby is right across the street. That has got to put you at ease. I have a daycare at my work so I can check on him whenever I want but I don't think that will be the daycare we stick with. He will just be in that daycare until he get in the one we want (he is on a waiting list). The daycare we want to get him in is closer to our house that way it will be convenient for my husband to pick him up or take him. Also they have web cams 24/7 so we can sign on line and see him whenever we want. I actually feel better about having him closer to my home than to work . Plus with husband being able to pick him up or take him that means less hours in daycare each day. I work 10 hour shifts so it would suck to have him in there that long.

Oh my gosh I know what you mean about you knowing how to keep him happy and such. I am already thinking of all the things I will have to tell the daycare what to do. Also at the end of this month my brother and his wife are going to watch him for us (who have their own baby of 10 months) and I am already thinking they won't know what to do. They won't know what he likes. Sometimes he gets pissed off and it can be hard to comfort him (especially if you don't have boobs). So are you hiring a nanny that comes to your house? Are you taking him somewhere? What are your childcare plans?

I just read your post about vitamins & Floride supplements

Our city water is florinated, so my Dr doesn't recommend them...however with that said...I don't drink tap water...so, I have been drinking the Floride spring water (Nursery water). (I pump and formula feed)

From what I have read...if you use liquid pre-mixed formula they add floride so there is no need for a supplement. If you use dry powder formula you should use florinated tap water or Nursery water to mix it.

So, if you are breastfeeding and don't have florinated city water, this may be why your Dr is prescribing.

I say...If you question it, than you should call the Dr office..it won't hurt...and that is why they are there!!

Wishing you all the best!! Congrats on your baby boy!!

I carried him in his wrap for a lot of the day but that seem to put pressure on my stomach at all.

You are welcome.. ;0)

mom2boy - Monday, 12 May
I don't know where his hair came from, seriously, my husband and I both have thin hair. I was so shocked the first time I saw him.

mom2boy - Monday, 12 May
He is a little baldy, and what a cute one! I am sure Jamison will kill me someday for posting pictures of his pooping face on line but I just couldn't help it.
