I am a mom to a beautiful baby boy named Chase. He is cute, funny, happy, wonderful, amazing, smart, lovable, cuddly, and I couldn't be anymore proud to be his mommy! I also have a step daughter who is 11 named Ashley, and am married to a crazy, funny guy named Mike. We are from Northern New Jersey, and own a pizzeria. I always joke that Chase is a "Resturant Rat!" He hangs out at the pizzeria sometimes and all the customers love him, and he loves all the action! Anyway I looovvveee this website, I have been addicted since I was preggo! Hope all my fellow mommies and babies are happy and healthy!!! : )

Monday, 2 June Oh I am so not planning on wearing a swimsuit this year. I may fit into my old jeans but my stomach is still flabby...well maybe if it is a tankini with shorts but that make it more of a tank top and shorts kind of an outfit. It is warming up hear too. garciawendy7 -

Friday, 30 May Tricks to calm a fussy baby: wear him in a sling (this is my #1 go to technique - works amazingly), walk around, do squats while holding him (they like the "elevator ride" sensation), shh loudly in his ear, swaddle him, sing to him, give him something to suck on (mine loves my pinkie finger), bounce and jiggle him in your arms, hold him like a football on his belly, get him outside to feel the fresh air, stand under a light or near a window (they like the contrasts and shadows), and most importantly, take a few deep breaths yourself! Good luck. ladobruk -
Friday, 30 May Our baby calms when we pace with her and pat her on the back. She will also calm when I pat her on the back and rock her in the glider. And...she loves riding around on me in the sling, she goes right to sleep. ashley266 -
Wednesday, 28 May I had a c-section on April 3rd, and my husband and I have only had sex a few times. After 4 weeks (post-surgery) my doc said sex was okay, but I wasn't ready. My husband was very understanding...he didn't want to hurt me or anything of course! When I was finally ready it was 6 weeks after the c-section, and the first time hurt like hell. I just attributed it to the fact that it had been awhile (we hadn't done it for about a month before I had the baby either), and I was really tense-which probably made it worse-because I was so scared. After the initial "first-time" it was cake! Just like before. So, I don't think you will tear or anything will happen. As long as you have your doctors okay then there shouldn't be a problem! I hope this makes you feel better! huntersmama -

Wednesday, 28 May I know what you mean about feeling guilty about co sleeping. My hubby was worried too. He went to Dr. Sears.com to see what they had to say about it. He printed out the article for me. In it he talked about his own experiences with it and also related the stories of nurses with kids who did the same thing. They talked about all the benefits to the baby, not to mention to the parents, since we get better sleep this way too. It made me feel like I was such a good mom after reading all that. It was like you're doing something right. Before, I was nervous about telling other moms but now I tell people all the time now that we co sleep. It's awesome!! littleskittle82 -
Friday, 23 May Yeah, 10 ounces is a lot, but it had been about 8 hours! I still have a lot of it left, which is great since normally I'm stuck nursing every two hours, and now if I ever need to do something I have a little flexibility. Breastfeeding is so tough. Milmom2be -
Wednesday, 21 May Thank you for responding, I am feeling much better knowing that most women feel great about 6-7 weeks after. Gives me hope for getting back to some kind of normal! Thanks again, and you have a beautiful baby! jessicadarling -

Tuesday, 20 May I know! I loved her when she was still in the belly but the first time I saw her it was this whole new love that I couldn't even imagine. jessicadarling -
Tuesday, 20 May A friend of mine bought that one for her. She has a whole bunch of funny onesies. One has a picture of a crib on it and it says "Party at my Crib" . She also has one that says Am I cute or Am I cute? And a few others. They were all gifts from people. When I find out I will let you know! There are a few places you can get funny shirts for babies that I know of. One of them is www.tshirthell.com baby4aaden -
Tuesday, 20 May Congrats on your little one! They are so much fun! mom2boy -
Monday, 19 May Yeah, 10 hours is long, especially when you throw a 1/2 lunch in and then if you get stuck there late you are looking at 11 to 12 hour days. I will totally miss him . This way though I can only work 3 days a week and still make 30 hrs which is considered full time at my work so I still get insurance and such.
That is so cool you and your friend had babies on the same day. This girl at my work was due a month after me and she had her baby the day after me at the same hospital so I stopped by her room and said hi. That was kind of fun. mom2boy -
Sunday, 18 May Oh that is so cool that your hubby is right across the street. That has got to put you at ease. I have a daycare at my work so I can check on him whenever I want but I don't think that will be the daycare we stick with. He will just be in that daycare until he get in the one we want (he is on a waiting list). The daycare we want to get him in is closer to our house that way it will be convenient for my husband to pick him up or take him. Also they have web cams 24/7 so we can sign on line and see him whenever we want. I actually feel better about having him closer to my home than to work . Plus with husband being able to pick him up or take him that means less hours in daycare each day. I work 10 hour shifts so it would suck to have him in there that long. chasesmommy08 -
