How`s my pregnancy doing?

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be blustery. Your baby will arrive in the evening.

After a labor lasting approximately 8 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and some very fine hair.

But there is more. I sense that you are in need of distraction. Some enjoyment. Have you thought about belly painting? Take a look.

Labor Prediction from Just mommies. A little funny. Will be interesting after I have had bub to see how accurate these are:

I know you were hoping we weren't going to say this, but don't expect this baby to come early. Your baby is nice and comfy tucked away in your womb and has no interest in joining the rest of the world. We predict your baby will be born after its due date. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 7.8 pounds and that your labor will be about 11 hours long.

Happy Halloween Comments for Myspace

hey there. Oh you must be really missing your mum! I am close with my parents and would really struggle if they weren't close by. Mind you, you have your husband for moral support. You sound very dedicated to your work. Never feel like a failure, you can't control the decisions of other people, and whether the market embraces it up there or not really isn't a reflection on you, you sound like you give it your all and yeah, it's out of your hands... I guess people are really cautious with the economic situation the way it is at the moment - and it's happened so quickly! I remember buying some stuff from Victoria Secret in April this year cos the aussie dollar was like 97c! Nobody could've predicted the arse falling out of the economy this suddenly! It's unbelievable!

Yeah it would be lovely if your parents checked out properties up there - Is this their first grandchild?

Well funny you mention that poking feeling, my baby was just kicking (I actually saw it move) and it was a lot higher than usual. Have you really grown this week? I am starting to look really pregnant, I can't believe it was only a week ago I still had it under wraps! There's no way I could get away with it this week. Maybe our babies are moving higher? My baby has been feeling quite low in the last few days though, there's pressure on my bladder!

Oh reflux & indigestion is a killer - have you got any antacid?

Well I might go to bed. Great to hear from you! take care!

Oh shit! That's a worry! Here I am whinging about being hot, at least I don't have the worry of a cyclone! It was 37 degrees today, I really struggled and it's not even summer yet! But i did manage to buy a lovely denim maternity skirt so no doubt I'll thrash that over the next few months

So what do you do? Do you have family up there that you'll be leaving your baby with or will you be using childcare? What's the situation like up there? Many vacancies? Mum said today that if I need to go back to work full time, she said I don't need to worry about childcare as she will look after my son for me. It's nice to know that if I absolutely need to, mum will be there and I know he'd be in the best hands with mum and she's still pretty young! But my aim is to finish uni so I might look for something 2 days a week.

So are you having any cravings? I'm going through a chocolate milk phase...

patty76 - Thursday, 23 October
Oh so you're not a local then? Oh geez, it will be a long, hot summer! So where are you from originally? I'm in Adelaide, it's dry heat here so I'm set for some scorchers! I've got the fan on now! ha!

So when are you finishing up? I've decided to finish up at the end of January, so long as I don't go into labour any earlier! God, could you imagine!? After telling my bosses yesterday, I started telling people today and it was so funny, there's another pregnant girl there who came racing in (she's 16 weeks) and then another girl came in with her and she told me she's 7 weeks! There's a mass exodus! I guess that happens when there's lots of women in a workplace!

Yeah, she seriously needs help, my brother visited mum today and had a long chat about everything and he said he feels like I've excluded him from the family for not telling him til after the wedding. Mum said to him that she reacted exactly how we expected and justifies exactly why I didn't tell him before his wedding! I intend on asking him to be godfather, he's a massive part of my life and I hope my baby's life too!

I should book in for antenatal classes. A friend of mine did it all in one hit - on a Saturday! I would love that but my hospital doesn't offer that. Are yours at night?

I have felt one kick outside my belly so far, but funnily enough, I was laying on my back reading your message and i had my pyjama top kind of open and I saw my belly move! Maybe get your husband to watch your belly, that was surreal too!

Take it easy!

I feel so horrible about it but as long as my baby is healthy and shes at the right weight gain then im happy.

patty76 - Wednesday, 22 October
Hey thanks for your comment! You're spot on. I'm actually worried for my brother (how the hell he thought that was the best he could get - I have no idea!) and am really hoping that she seeks psychiatric help. Her general behaviour is bizarre to say the least, and reaction was disturbing, especially considering my son will probably be her only nephew!

Oh I'm so over keeping this a secret, I'm out baby! I told work today and they were great, and part of me does like the fact that people won't have to wait long to meet my little man! I tell you what, I'm not sure how I'm (we're) going to go with being heavily pregnant during an Aussie Summer!! How do you deal with the heat? I'm guessing by your name, you're in Cairns - you must be pretty used to it!

Hey Ladies! I just want to thank you all for your advice and comments about my baby name drama! I think I am just going to wait for it not to be so fresh - I mean I still do have time and maybe we can get a baby name book that we can go through together! So far we love "J" name - I dont know why but it's just happened like that LOL! Also I dont know why he likes the name Jermaine...it's not so common here in Australia and he said that he has liked that name for a while - so hmmmz! Thanks once again - you all really cheered me up ! I will let you know the progress of our "name hunting" LOL! xo

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Yay! It's a healthy boy! I'm sooooooo relieved! I'm still kind of in a state of shock! He's bigger than I expected!

That makes sense about the baby sleeping - my little one was lying on his belly - the ultrasound guy was almost pulling his hair out. I was a bit annoyed actually, I had to ask if he was healthy, and I had to ask the gender! Then after I left I realised he didn't tell me the weight, size or revised due date! Oh well - he's healthy, that's all that matters!

patty76 - Thursday, 25 September
I'm so glad for you everything's ok... That is my main concern, I don't really have a preference, just that it's healthy. I know someone that didn't want to know but didn't want to regret not finding out later down the track either so got them to write it & put it in an envelope - she lasted a good few days - there's no way I would've lasted 5 minutes! ha!

Oh I had to do that at my 12 week scan, first I didn't drink enough, then they sent me away & I drank too much. I know this is a dumb question, but do babies sleep when we do? I kind of think given it's probably the most peaceful time when we're asleep, they would sleep too, but maybe they do sleep while where running around like mad dogs!?

Yeah not long to go now. Mum just told me off cos I'm stressing, she said not to worry cos it does no good for the baby! I hope I'm not going to be one of these worry-guts parents!?

shez05 - Thursday, 25 September
Awww glad to hear everything went well! Too bad about the 3D shots though - at least you got to see your little one *that must have felt great* I cant wait till my scan tomorrow...trying not to think about it 2 much because I know I wont be able to concentrate LOL! I will def let you know how I go....Hope everything is going well with you and the bubbie! xo

patty76 - Tuesday, 23 September
Hey there. How did your U/S go? Is everything ok?

Thanks - It was actually quite an easy decision, I stopped and thought about what's best for the baby, not what's best for me. There are lots of well grounded kids without fathers and yeah, it's going to be tough but so long as my baby gets tonnes of love which it definitely will, then I don't think you can go wrong... Also, I'm 32 so I kind of feel that I'm ready, with or without a guy by my side. It would be nice to have that support but hey, worse things could happen!

So how's your pregnancy going? So you've decided not to find out what the baby is? Good on you, I admire your willpower! I'm finding out on Friday - I'm very impatient! Plus I figure its a surprise whenever you find out... But hats off to you, it will be such an incredible experience for you and your husband when your baby arrives
