Hello! This is my first pregnancy. Me and my husband got married by law in August of 07, and just had our church wedding July of 08. We planned to start trying after our wedding. I got off my birth control the night of the wedding, Had one period the week after the wedding, and then by just 4 weeks after our wedding date, we found out we were pregnant!

When I found out I was only 2 weeks along. I was so excited and have told everyone already. I am only at 8 weeks now and therefore still not out of the danger of a miscarriage. Its hard because I just want to get to that 13 week mark!

Also my husband is over seas right now. I had to have my first u/s alone. It was exciting though. The fetus was only 7 weeks along and so it was just a blob, but I saw the flicker of the heartbeat and we were able to get the heart rate of 150 at 7 weeks.

I am looking forward to my hubby being home for a couple weeks in October and hopefully get an u/s around 14/15 weeks to get to see the sex of the baby. We are not fans of calling he/she 'it'! lol.

I live in California and dont really have any friends to socialize or chat with much, and for my wedding there was a great wedding site that I got a lot of support from, so here I am trying this site out for some insite and support!

I have a best friend who is a registered doctor and she is pregnant as well and so I get lots of good tips from her as she delivers babies and is pregnant too!

August 29th - First U/S!! So I am thinking that I was about 7-8 weeks last week at the doctors office, so today I should be 8-9 weeks. Well the u/s says I was 7 weeks 1 day!!! BUT it was awesome to see the ultrasound. It went kinda quick. But I got to see the heart beating - soooo cool. They just did an abdominal u/s. I felt like crapola the whole week previous to this visit, but started feeling better this day. But as the weekend progressed, I had lots of sleepless/restless nights! The sleeping hasnt gotten better yet (now Sept 9).

August 22nd - First GYNO appointment. He felt my uterus and said that he thought I was about 8-9 weeks at that point! He also told me absolutely no sugar! He said that I was starting out a bit overweight! I think I told him the wrong height and so it showed I was over weight. I told him I was 5'7" and I think its more like 5'9"... and I am right around 155-160. I will be having the nurses measure my height for sure next time! But the doc says that sugar leads to unnecessary weight gain, and he believes that if you dont gain to much weight the birth is easier and less risk for c-section. So once i eat all the sugar that I have already bought, then I will stop! lol. I did increase my fruits and veggies though. Trying to eat healthy. He had me make my first u/s appointment so that we could figure out the dating better. I made that appointment, Friday August 29th.

August 11th - Had to take hubby to airport :(

August 8th - Went to normal doctor who had be get blood work done. The blood work confirmed 'an early pregnancy of about 2 weeks'. I think that it meant I had been pregnant for about two weeks at that point, meaning that I found out I was for sure preggers at 4 weeks gestational!! SOOO early, but we told everyone anyways!

August 7th - hubby found out he would be leaving on an emergency deployment the following Monday, so I came home from my conference early. Hubby said I should take a test. I didnt think that timeing was right, because at the time, the spotting that I had, I thought could have been a period, so I didnt think it was possible at all. Sure enough 'first response' test showed two solid lines!! One wasnt even faint or anything, it was for sure!!

August 4-6 - I was out of town and totally felt different, tired, and my boobies hurt really bad.

July 25th - took a preg test (didnt really think about how it was totally not possible to tell yet anyway), showed negative

July 22nd - had some spotty bleeding - maybe implantation bleeding?

July 20, 21, or 27 2008 - I think we concieved one of these days

July 10th, 2008 - Period started

July 6th, 2008 - Wedding Day!!! Stopped birth control
