Hello, I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with my second child. I am married to a wonderful man and have a 5 year old daughter. We are expecting a baby boy in April. Can't wait!

Today is the last day for week 30. I have my 4D ultrsound tomorrow and I am sooo excited!! I have been feeling lots of Braxton Hicks plus lots of backaches. I am so uncomfortable. My daughter is getting anxious to see her little brother. She asks me everyday how big the baby is. I am feeling so big. HUGE. Can't wait to have this baby!!

Today I am 31 weeks pregnant. I went for my 4D ultrasound and saw my cute baby boy! My daughter hugged the monitor when she saw him..so cute! Feeling out of breath all the time. Small of my back hurt ALOT all the time. Well, soon I'll have my baby!!!!

Today I am on my last day on week 33. Baby is getting stronger because his kicks take my breath away sometimes. I am getting so anxious. Even my daughter is getting excited. She can't wait to see her little brother. Today she saw a baby boy and she said, "Mom, boys ARE fun!" I am starting to wash all the new baby clothes, cutting out tags..etc..etc next week. I can't believe I have only 6 weeks to go. I am having some uncomfortable feeling around my thighs, I have no idea what that means. I have to ask my doctor about it. I have a feeling this baby is coming early..hope not too early!!!!!

Today I am 35 weeks pregnant. I had my doctor's appointment. Baby is weighing 5lbs 12oz. He is -1 station, whatever that means. Everyone keeps telling me I look like I have dropped, and that I look big. No wonder I feel so much pressure down there. Anyway, I got the baby bassinet and it's all set up, so cute!! All the baby clothes, blankets, burp clothes etc etc...are washed and folded. Now all we need is the baby!! Today I weighed 138lbs. So far I gained 30 lbs.

I am in week 36. Doctor did an ultrasound and told me baby is weighing 6lbs 7oz. All looks well. Can't wait for the next 4 weeks to be over. Hopefully I don't go over my due date. It is so hard to find a good position to sleep, and than when I finally do I have to get up and pee. On another note, the weather is so ugly, it doesnt help when you can't even get out and walk a little since it's either raining or too cold.

Week 38 Went to my weekly doctor's appointment. As soon as doctor saw me he said that I have dropped. He later checked me and I definetley dropped plus I am 2 cm dilated!! Baby was weighing 6lbs 10oz give or take 1lb. Getting really anxious to have the baby. I can't wait to hold him in my arms. Only 12 days to go!!!!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Wow cant believe your still pregnant. I figure I would probley still be also if I hadnt been induced. I HIGHLY reccomend getting the epidural ASAP with the patosin(sp?) I thought I would try and be a toughy and do it with out pain releif sincce I had a bad experience with epi last time, neeedless to say within 4 hours I was begging for it and it was an AWESOME labor. Except for about a 1/4 cm of my cervix was still hanging over and the doc had to slide it back so I could deliver. But about 4 contractions later she was born. it was so easy And she sleeps- i always heard of these babies but my other two were night owls. I may get pregnant again LOL seriously!!
I send you labor dust, a speedy delivery and healthy happy baby:)
take care

Thanks for your advice about breaking water!! :)

It didn't really hurt, but it wasn't comfortable either. I bled just a tad at the dr.s office but haven't since. In the last hour I have had three significant contractions but that has happened before and labor didn't catch on, so we'll just have to wait and see. This third pregnancy has definitely been my most challenging. I was sick for the first 19 weeks! I had never had bad morning sickness before. Then I got sciatic nerve pain in the second trimester, luckily after seeing a chiropractor we learned how to make it go away when it occurs. Then this third trimester has been pretty tolerable aside from cramps, false labor, little sleep, body aches, skeletal pain, fatigue...etc. I found it all really surprising because my last pregnancies were relatively easy. I thought I was a pro! hee hee So anyhow, my children are insisting we watch The Water Horse,. so I must go. Thanks for the comments. Any comments I get keep me from loosing my mind to the depths of baby waiting.

I just had my membrane swept around 2:00 pm today. It's 5:00pm now, no sign of labor... that's just my luck I guess. I am mood swinging like a banshee though, which is a bunch of fun, just kidding. I wonder if it will work for you again this time? With both my previous labors I had to be induced. I was hoping this one would begin on it's own.

yeah, that is a different pain. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully you'll have some good news from the doctor today!

It sounds like you might have symphysis pubis dysfunction..the pain between the legs! Does it feel like your pelvis is going to crack in half? I've gotten that with all of my pregnancies. The good news is, it goes away after delivery! Try not to kick at things to move them, like drawers and baskets, and don't try to balance on 1 leg to get your pants on...sit on the edge of the bed. I usually get it later on in pregnancy, but this time it started about 17 weeks because I messed up and pushed my girls' underbed drawer shut with my foot without thinking, and I could hardly walk for almost a month! It's worked itself out a bit since then. Good luck at the doctor's tomorrow! Hopefully he'll have some good news for you!

You know, I'm upset I haven't had my baby yet. Honestly, I hate being pregnant! I enjoy labor/birth much more than pregnancy. My body just doesn't handle it well (I'm only 5 ft 1, so it's a squeeze with the 2 of us!) Yes, I've been walking as much as I can, my husband and I have been having sex until we're sick of it, but at the end of the day if it's not ready, it's not ready, and I'd rather have a healthy baby than one that needs to go to the NICU. I bawled all weekend because I just knew Friday was finally it...and then the contractions stopped. But, I've gotten over it, I'm relaxed, I know it will come. My midwife is not worried (we do homebirths.) The baby is moving around like crazy. And, I finally lost my mucus plug last night! I am so darn happy right now because at least all of those contractions weren't for nothing. I never thought I'd be happy about anything like that and my husband now thinks I'm nuts, but hey, it's one step closer, right? I do medical transcription, and I type on a daily basis what can go wrong when medical interventions go awry. My friend's sister was due 6 days before me, went in for an appointment, had some contractions, got sent to the hospital, they broke her water, she "didn't progress fast enough", and ended up with a C-section..all because she probably wasn't even really in labor to start with...her baby was 1 month old yesterday! I just hate the it when someone is trying to get information and someone CLEARLY not informed tries to spout off like they know something. I've gotten to the point where I don't care what people think about me, so I've decided to just speak my mind when I feel it necessary. I know that anything I feel strongly enough about, I do in depth research on it and make the best, most informed decision I can, and if other people don't like it, that's their problem, not mine! lol (Plus, the hormones give me an extra little kick to not keep my mouth shut... ;0) Good luck to you! The end is in sight for all of us!

kellykh - Friday, 18 April
my midwife ha dme get evening primrose oil and take it 2x a day to maybe increase Braxton hicks. I have been takng them for a fw days but haven't noticed that big of a change.

branbug - Wednesday, 16 April
No problem> yea i don't care either, who's bday it is or what day it is! That day is what you make it. If it's your babies bday nothing else that happened on that day matters! :0) good luck!

OurBabyBean0508 - Tuesday, 15 April
4:20 is the day / time you're supposed to smoke pot. It's the pothead number. lol

Hi, thanks for your response:) It's good to get an idea of what cost might be should I have a false alarm. Wow, healthcare is soooo expensive. At the very least, I am on an "indigent care" sliding scale, so a small portion of my bills will be covered by the state.

What are you reading? I need a distraction. I have re-organiized the walk in closet, the kitchen tupperware shelf, the washer & dryer space, re wired the computer, alphabetized the dvds, and un sucessfully washed the kitchen floor. Im SO bored! Been on 'illness leave' for 2 months now, Im loosing my mind and am tired of internet game sites. Lol!
