i read your comment about bad inductions. on the positive side i had a really plesant induction! i had an epidural and didnt feel a thing. i wish you the best of luck and what ever the outcome of your experience it will be well worth it! let me know and if you have any questions let me know!

I was induced w/my 1st and it wasent that bad. In fact it went really smooth. I had the balloon inserted = pitocin and it fell out at 4cm which took about 4 hours, had and epidural at 4-5cm and 1 hour of pushing...it was really niced and all in all it was 15 hours...not bad for a first.

I'm with you on being 5 days overdo and it sucking big time. And totally, why do people need to urge to report how awful their labors have been with complications, etc. That is the LAST thing I want to hear. Anyways hope you are feeling well besides being overdue. I go back to doctors tommorow and see if any progress has been made, though I did get a call today telling me my induction was all set for Monday. I feel like I have been given up on!

oh and dont listen to peoples horrid induction stories, it annoys me when people tell you horror stories, my friend had a wonderful birth she was induced, only had gas n air no stitches needed and baby was perfect!!!!!!!!!!

hi, yes it was pretty uncomfortable, i should of asked for an epidural,hehe!!!!Yes im glad induction all booked but still seems unreal that im gonna meet her for the first time!!!! Ill keep u updated, let me know how u get on tom!

Hi, well good luck with app thursday! I go to docs in couple of hours to try the membrane sweep, not looking forward to it but oh well!

I know its nuts but i love it, had my first 3 at 37 wks and my last one at 36wksm there expecting this one earlyer, (thats why i got the steriodshots ) I will be 36 wks fri....

any babys head being that low is aplus.....means dialtion will b easy same with effasingmore!

4 days over due, u poor thing, I have never pst wk 37 in 4 pregnancys and 36 wks with 4th, so I can imaguine how u feel! I am going nuts and I am only gonna b 36 wks this wk. I if i go past 37 , i iwll take him out myself(as if , lol)
usually when they predict that, they are not off, so sunday was only 2 days ago, so any day hun, They predicted me ( 7 to 10 ) max with last dauighter and I went 8 days, which brought me to wk 36...
awsome, have u tried that red reaspbery tea, sex, walking, ( prob all for months right), well goodluck to u, I bet u will go to apointment and fund out ur super dialted nad cervix is ready, sio keep me posted and let me know!

Hey, Im glad im not the only one! There are people on here complaining of still having baby and there not even due yet and Im 4 days over !!!!! ARGH!!!
I know she will come when shes ready but if she takes after her father then that will be some time, hes so laid back!hehe!

yeah, pitocin isnt bad. They started me off at 2 (2ml I think). they upped it 2 ml every half hour so it gradually went into your system. by the end you will definitely feel the contractions but eventually we all have to. Good luck and remember that it goes by so fast and its all a blurr in the end.

Pepperoni, huh? Haven't heard of that one! But I've doing all trhe other stuff, I don't want to try to castor oil either. My husband was at work today and I asked him if there was anything he needed me to do around the house or whatever and he said have the baby. He was just kindly joking around but I almost broke into tears, Silly man, doesn't get it sometimes! Hopefully we will go soon!

I just wanted to let you know that when I lost my plug (LOL) there was no blood as well...I asked Doc when I went yesterday and she said it is completely common for there not to be any blood..you may also lose more in the next few hours, to next couple of days...Sick I know, but just warning you! :) Good luck! :)

haha it is!!! and I'm telling you, it'll work, too. You might be scared at first, but mami, you'll only be focused on your labor and making sure your hubby does exactly what you want, or be forced to deal with your painful, hormonal wrath.. hahah. Not what your mom may think! =]

Hey, thanks for the info. I was living in Halifax for work but have been posted back down to the Valley so I will be delivering at Valley Regional in Kentville. You must be from NS as well if you are aware of the hospitals.

I really hope this baby make her grand entrance soon. I am soooo uncomfortable!!

I don't understand how moms can be that way, either. As angry as it makes me, it kind of makes me sad, too. It's like.. Hi. hey, I'm your daughter, I'm a human, I have FEELINGS, you know? Ahh! I can't believe they want you to travel 3 1/2 hours away to have your baby!! And then to turn around and pack her back up and drive another 3 1/2 hours to go home! Probably more than that, cuz I'm sure your husband will drive a lot slower with his new baby in the car! It's amazing how something exciting can completely blind them. Ugh.

LOL! Don't feel bad for me. We're in the same boat, and I'm just glad, like you, that I'm not the only one ready to rip my hair out with the way my mom is being retarted!!

I actually havent' hoped for a c-section.. LOL! But I know what you mean. But hey, if I have to kick my mom out, I'll deal with the guilty feelings later ahahah!

We aren't gonna call anybody until Alyvia is at least 3 hours old. But maybe that's what you should do.. Call her when it's too late and there's no way she could make it in time! ahahah. I mean... think of it this way. Would you rather have a horrible birthing experience because your mom was there, or would you rather just tell a little white lie and say "but she just came to fast! We didn't have time to call!"? I doubt your mom would be too upset. If she was, she'd forget all about it once she got to the hospital and was able to hold her grandbaby... I think about that, and that's what keeps me going and keeps my foot rooted!

You know, I think you'd be surprised at how well your hubby actually does. At first, I didn't think my hubby would do well. But coming this far with him, and everything he's done for me and the baby so far, I think he'll do great. I think I underestimate him! In the beginning, whenever somebody asked him if he was gonna cut the cord, he always looked like he wanted to puke and would say "heck no! the dr can do that!" But now, he's like "I can't wait to cut the cord" whenever somebody asks him. I did ask him the other day though, if he was gonna hold my let while I push.. lol. He just kind of looked at me like I was crazy and said no. I asked him why, and he just shrugged and said that's why they have nurses. He wants to hold my hand. So I guess we'll see. I don't know if he's nervous to watch his daughter being born, or will get sick seeing a baby come out of my vagina.. lol! He keeps telling me he wants it to go really quick so I'm not in pain, cuz he doesn't like seeing me in pain. Awww lol =]

I know how the whole step-mom vs. mom thing goes.. trust me! My mom would blow up the hospital if she found out I'd rather have my step-mom in there than her. Hah!

You know.. I'm wondering if my mom is gonna use the fact that she's bought the baby's crib, changing table, highchair, and some clothes as leverage to make me feel bad about not wanting her in there.. I've been thinking about that since last night. She tends to do things like that, just so she has control. She knows that I feel bad easily (I'm such a softie! Ugh!), and will probably do that.. Which, I think at this point though, will only make me super mad, instead of feeling bad about it. Bleh.

It seems to me that first time moms have ALL KINDS OF TROUBLE from family members! Wait til I'm pregnant with my 2nd.. nobody is gonna care! LOL!

LOL! Your baby is partially your mother's?! LOL! Sorry, but come on!! If I can be so bold and say that it was your HUSBAND'S PENIS, not your mother's!! ahahah. That's what really gets me about my mom.. This should be something her and I should only share.. HELLO!!!

I just came out and told my mom she isn't gonna be in there. At first, I wanted her to be. But that was at the beginning of my pregnancy, when I didn't know my husband or I would handle it. Now, coming this far, I don't want her in there. And yea, she was offended, and she won't stop talking about it, and hinting at it, but you know what? This is my child, not hers. This is my husband's child, not hers. Now, if I were single, and going through this with no baby daddy, then yea, she'd be in there. That's different. UGH! It just makes me mad thinking about it! lol.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide! But if I were you, I would honestly think long and hard about having your mom in there. Was she there when you and your hubby MADE the baby? My dad asked me this question lol. And... what will happen if she tries to take control, and pushes your husband out of the way? I mean, L&D nurses are fierce! If they want something done, they'll tell you to do it, and you had better do it if you want to remain in the room. If somebody is in there, like your mom, and she's really aggravating you, and you haven't got the heart to tell her to please leave, the nurses will do it for you! They're not afraid to tell somebody to get out. It's their floor, their show. They run it, not an over-excited grandparent!

Thank you hun for your reply. It is exactly what you are describing!!! :( The pain is HORRIBLE!!! IT's that pain at one point and pain down there from her moving down i guess at another point in the day. Hope you're doing great my dear and let's hope this will be over soon :D and that we won't go past our due date!! Where abouts in Canada are you?? I'm in Mississauga, Ontario. Giving birth in Credit Valley hospital :D..what about u???
