I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

Sorry it takes me forever to respond. I want to be the first to congratulate you on your baby, though I know that you;ll probably get some in the hospital first. I imagine that the little one is here now, or will be at some point today bc of the message that you sent to me on Monday. What happened before with the meds not working would have had me really frustrated too.

With SIL, she is in remission from the cancer, and two years ago they told us that she won't likely make it longer than 6 months. Then last year they told us that last Thanksgiving would be her last. Then she got a surprise. She is in remission. She was told at the same time that it could become active again at any time, and no matter what, she won't live to be past 45 yrs old.

Her cancer was really bad before, and my h was a perfect match to do a bone marrow donation to her, after very VIGOROUS testing. She now has graft versus host disease bc of the donation. basically her immune system was shut off before the donation. h's immune system has taken it's place. Now h's immune system is in her body, and it's attacking her from the inside. It's like H's immune system in her says "hey, there is something strange going on here, you're not a guy. My antibodies are from a guy. You're a foreign substance! Let's dual. May the best person win!" SIL is strong, and likes to pretend that everything is ok, but we know that it's really hard on her. She keeps in great spirits, and I admire her for that. I don't know how she does it!

Apparently according to his boss, twice this week, h is the only person that they want in this position for the contract. Now, legally, they have to advertise the position, but not until the other contract ends next June. After that, they have 4 months to fill the position. So basically they can't tell us that he has the job until at least next October!! I didnt' think it would take that long. I really want to know now so that we can prepare in case it falls through. I pray right along with you.

I know all about the hormone thing! I was really BAD!! Don't worry about being a good mom. Just the fact that you are worried about it, and the baby isn't even here yet, means that you were concerned about it, which automatically makes you a good mom. Bad moms don't worry about it, bc they don't care.

Just follow your instincts. Nobody will know your baby better than you. You are going to be with the baby most of the time. Do what feels right to you. You will know if you need to change something in all areas including in the routine that you will create or in feeding habits. It really does come natural. Don't keep second guessing yourself, bc baby won't know that you don't know all of the answers all of the time. Baby just needs mommy to feel secure. Baby hasn't had practise at being a baby before either, but instinct takes over. Baby cries, eats, sleeps and poops. nobody needs to tell them when to do them. I hope this helps you, or at least makes you laugh, LOL.

Allyson was insecure to be away from me too, so having Abigail act this way shouldn't have been too much of a surprise. It's tough bc I have only a few brief moments to go pee, never mind trying to shower. It took a year for things to improve with Ally, then she turned into the MOST outgoing child that anybody ever met.

I sttarted writing this hours ago. Abby has been cring off and on, mostly on, for 10 and a half hours. cranky, colic, constipated a bit too, and gas. I think she cried bc the sky is blue and the grass is green too. I am tired and cranky bc I have to get my house sorted out. It'sd a mess from moving while pregnant, and practically on bed rest for months, and now i have the baby and am not healed all the way, and baby takes up all of my time. I don't want company. I wishe people would just wait until the shower three weekends from now!

Abby is WIDE awake. I think I should run. maybe i should eat something. oh,, her eyes are starting to close, maybe i can sleep soon.

HEYYYYY!!!!! So right now you are probably PUSHING!! I just got nosey, and had to check on you and saw you were having "it" today!! My God, woman, you went to 41 weeks???? Crazy!! Ohhh, I cannot WAIT to hear all about this!!! I just KNEW you had had that baby already!
