My name is Candice and my husband is Vin (as of 6/20/08). We live just outside of Boston with my/our 9 year-old son, Trevor. We got pregnant on our first try last October, which was surprising to us both, but resulted in a miscarriage in December. I had a D&C on December 27th. We waited one cycle to start trying again and we finally got our BFP on August 19, the day before our 2 month wedding anniversary. We are very happy and scared, but mostly happy right now. I hope this one sticks for us!

Thankyou so much for your comment.......No I have not had my first appt yet....I go on Monday....so hopefully your right! I know I am just being paranoid but I was pregnant once before and miscarried at 6 weeks so I guess I am just ready to see a doctor and be reassured. Congrats to you as well...I wish you the best of luck.

Ha ha, I think I have experienced, or am currently experiencing, all of those. Yes, including "cheeseburger crotch." That special effect appeared when I got into the second trimester. Can't wait to pee all over myself. I am sure that will come in time. Sometimes I am really thankful I work from home and not in a crowded office.

No, I definitely don't have enough work to keep me busy. I just finished all the papers I had to grade and it's only noon my time. Yesterday, I assembled the baby bouncer, which took all of 15 minutes. I am eyeing the pack-n-play to assemble today, but think it might be a little too big to do by myself. I could try assembling the stroller. Hmmm. (my father is a mechanical engineer who builds machines for cardiovasular research. i definitely inherited his ability to assemble things)

I talked to Auggie this morning and he sounded a lot better. He and his brother have an appointment with the accountant this afternoon to discuss their options. They have also contacted some of their old childhood friends who are now lawyers to get some expert advice. That is one of the great things about growing up on a small island where everyone knows each other. Their father was also almost like a celebrity in Puerto Rico, so people are happy to help. So, I feel MUCH better now that he has some direction, guidance, and support from other people now. He feels better today, too. We'll see what develops next. The saga continues...

that sounds about right for 8 weeks, lol. bleh. honestly, i have been spending every weekend hibernating like a big, giant sloth. all i do is sleep, lol. and i was INFURIATED that chris couldn't take a nap on saturday afternoon, lol ^^ how dare he have energy!

im feeling pretty good, actually. i have small bouts of nausea, im starving all the time, im bloated, i cant poo, im battlin acne, and i have weird dreams... but im mostly OK

im kind of hoping it stays this way. maybe since my last pregnancy sucked- ill have smooth sails this time around.

oh, and my cravings are already in place. SWEET STUFF!! last time it was all about fritos, cheetos and onion dip. now im craving maple bar donuts...thick chocolate cake, halfbaked cookie dough ice cream, applesauce, mmmm... (im hungry right NOW)

i cant eat my veggies anymore though :( the thought of them makes me sick!! but im happy to be here, at week 6 ^^

OH I DID last time. I lost like 15 pounds. I was sure I was having a girl, now im torn I think it is a boy though.
