My name is Candice and my husband is Vin (as of 6/20/08). We live just outside of Boston with my/our 9 year-old son, Trevor. We got pregnant on our first try last October, which was surprising to us both, but resulted in a miscarriage in December. I had a D&C on December 27th. We waited one cycle to start trying again and we finally got our BFP on August 19, the day before our 2 month wedding anniversary. We are very happy and scared, but mostly happy right now. I hope this one sticks for us!

Saturday, 4 October Hi Candice. Absolutely. I'm the kind of person who used to HAVE to stay busy...Ugh. I hope it gets better soon! Have a good weekend! grexach -
Friday, 3 October Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you about those results. They were negative for all (soy, milk, eggs, and gluten). When the receptionist called me on the phone to give me the results she went on to explain that the chiropractor/dietician lady had prescribed some supplements for me to take. I just laughed in her face and told her I didn't think she was a good fit for me. Supplements for what? Based on what? I am pregnant for goodness sake! I knew it felt wrong being in that office, but I was trying to be open-minded. In any case, if I need to see a chiropractor again I will see the one located in my doctor's building. Sooooo, that's the story on that.
Yes, I need an entire cookbook of meals I can assemble (not cook) in 10 minutes or less. Our book could be "Candice and Gretchen's 10-Minute Assemblies for Preggies who are too sick and tired to cook real meals." LOL

Friday, 3 October
I think it looks adorable. :) grexach -
Friday, 3 October I think the cost is reasonable. It would probably work out less than what we normally spend on groceries and eating out combined. After the baby, I am sure we will not be going out very much for the first few months, so that would work fine. I have no idea if the food sucks or not, and I don't know anyone who has used the service before. I think you're right about starting with one week and taking it from there. Just wanted someone else's opinion.

Friday, 3 October bah, see i want to be ahead to get it over and done with quicker- so your scheme only works for the superficial idea of being a week or two ahead... if you have a c-section... you still have a child before me!
and no, i really can't. a lot of my friends were 1-2 weeks overdue this sepetember, and hearing them talk... god- it made me glad my family usually pops our babies out about 2 weeks early! happyinvention -
Friday, 3 October hmm it seems no matter how pregnant i get.. i can't catch up to you!
, im serious! everytime i make it to a new week i look at your page and go "GAH!" because you are STILL ahead! ^^ oh well ^^ I hope you are feeling well

Thursday, 2 October Oh good, Monday's not so far away. It will be a relief for you to hear your bean's heartbeat again. Yay.
Nothing new here. He'll probably be there for another week. (Sigh). But things are progressing. They are getting a lot of things done, which is good.
I was browsing the Internet researching companies that deliver healthy foods to your house for a fee. I am thinking about doing that for at least a couple of weeks after the baby is born. No one else in my house cooks (um, I barely cook) and I know I won't be able to make my own meals for a while. What do you think? Worth it or not worth the money? grexach -
Thursday, 2 October Hey, Preggiepop, when's your next OB appointment? grexach -
Tuesday, 30 September Yeah, never stand between two pregnant women and their chicken/steak combo fajitas! grexach -
Monday, 29 September Thank you so much for the lovely sympathy card. That was so sweet of you and we really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thank you.

Monday, 29 September Hola Mamita, we are doing fine. The funeral and wake are over so that is a relief. Now they can focus on meeting with lawyers and trying to figure out what to do with the paperwork issues. We don't know when Auggie will be able to come home. That kind of sucks. I miss him a lot.
I wish I could tell you that sleeping gets easier, but my experience has not shown that to be true. In the beginning I was having trouble because of frequent peeing and really sore boobs. Then I had trouble because of frequent peeing and sciatica. Now I have trouble because of frequent peeing and the fact there is a cataloupe in my belly right where I want to sleep. Heh.
I hope and pray your experience is different and you get some much deserved sleep at night!
Thinking of you

Sunday, 28 September All is well here, too. I put the changing table together last night and put all the little onesies, little hats, little socks, and blankets on there. Looks cute. Today I plan to put the stroller together, although it doesn't look like much to assemble. Auggie wants me to save something for him to assemble, so I guess he can do the pack-n-play (which will actually serve as a bassinet and changing table for the living room). I get so bored without him on the weekends.
Enjoy your Sunday, chica. Eat some fiber.

Saturday, 27 September Yum, Tex-Mex. I never seem to tire of Mexican food, even though that is pretty much all we have here. I never realized how many different types of Mexican food restaurants there are available until we moved to San Antonio. When we lived in Florida, the term "Mexican food" encompassed one or two restaurants that offered the exact same type of food. Here you can choose from a variety of different types of Mexican food. Comes with the territory...literally. :)
No, I didn't put anything else together today, but I did pick up a changing table from Babies R Us that I had ordered last week. I may put that together tomorrow so it will give me something to put all the baby clothes and blankets on.
So, best friend has been TTC for about three months and got her BFP today. Her last name is Richard, so she ironed a photo of the entertainer Little Richard on to a onesie and gave it to her husband as a way of letting him know. I thought it was hilarious, but apparently he did not know who Little Richard is and the onesie had to be explained to him. LOL
Not much on the agenda for this weekend. What about you? Anything fun to do this weekend? elizabethjane -
Saturday, 27 September Thanks! It was pretty bad for a while...but I haven't thrown up in over a week, so I guess the medicine must be working! I'm trying to look at my morning sickness as a good sign, since I never had any during my first pregnancy, which resulted in miscarriage! elizabethjane -
Saturday, 27 September I sure was! I hadn't kept much food or water down for 3 weeks so I had to be admitted! I'm on some meds for the rest of my pregnancy to help control the vomiting and I've been able to eat all this week, so that's a good sign! elizabethjane -
Saturday, 27 September That's good! :) I haven't had an "official" prenatal visit yet...I have bloodwork on the 3rd of October, and I get to meet with my doctor on the 14th. I was in the hospital for a few days last week due to dehydration and I had my first ultrasound...thank goodness there was a heartbeat and the doctor said that everything looks normal!
It is getting really cold here! I guess it won't be too much longer before the snow comes!
