Hello all! Excellent day today. Bunny Bun had a really great scan this morning and it's official- Bunny is a Girl! We're so happy. Honestly it didn't matter what we were having, only that the baby is healthy. Now it's time to start up the shopping and decorating the nursery. Love and hugs to all and I hope that you're having a good day today. We are!

Hello all. Had a bit of a scare on Tuesday. Headaches, saw those little silvery stars and was light headed all day. I thought I may have been coming down with this flu that's been sweeping the lands-After work I came home to try and lay down, to only become restless and worrisome. I went to triage and found out that I was dehydrated and my blood pressure was up. I felt bad because all day long, I tried to wait it out thinking that my "off" feeling would pass. Eventually it did, however there could have been something more serious happening to us and I didn't heed the warnings. I'm grateful that this was a minor issue and can be avoided in the future by monitoring my salt intake...no protein in the urine and I'm not pre-eclamptic as of this point.

On a more pleasant note, we find out what we are having this Tuesday- can't wait. I think we are having a boy- Daddy wants another little girl. I'm happy either way. We have a couple names picked out. Dante Lee and Nya Belle... I'll post again soon! thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

NT Scan went well today...Bunny Bun is doing well. Wasn't as active as we would have liked to see and that's ok. Melted my heart today, that's for sure.

3/7- WHAT on earth is it with me and mustard? I want it on everything. I `ve never really been a fan, but that `s changed...oh well-I `m sure I `ll get over it.

ahhhh deep breath here. Tuesday during a cervical length measurement ultrasound it was discovered that my cervix was starting to funnel from the inside out. I was consulted on getting a cerclage- which this exact happening was what we were hoping to catch with the biweekly scans- and I elected to have one. We did the works- spinal block-cut away and pushed up part of my bladder to get the stitch up higher and we made it out ok with minimal discomfort. I will tell you this, I knew for a long time that my cervix wasn `t `normal ` and that I was going to have issues with this pregnancy- however my dr `s really didn `t seem to understand what I was trying to tell them. An incompetent cervix/soft mushy cervix like mine doesn `t `look ` incompetent on an ultra sound. It wasn `t until I was on the operating table and they manually examined my cervix were they able to determine that the fibers of my cervix were to flexible they could have put a finger through it right to the baby. This catch in the changes of my body were meant to happen. I believe that angels were watching over us on Tuesday. I pray daily and thank God that this opportunity was given and allowed to be taken. We `re on modified bedrest and will find out this afternoon after my follow up scan if I can return to work on Monday. I `m hoping that I am able to go back. At the very least this baby needs to stay in for 7 more weeks according to the surgeon. I `m not so good at the layng around thing. I will update later on this afternoon.

follow up scan went well. We are able to return to work Monday with very limited activity. The cerclage is in a good position and Bunny Bun is doing well too. Her h/r was 166 this afternoon. To all of those that have shared their cerclage stories and experiences, thank you so much for your input. It helped me become a better health advocate for myself and I appreciate it- we appreciate it so much. Thank you for being around for us. xoxo

Awhhh...sorry you are not feeling well today. Hopefully your nap will help. Hopefully the time will move quickly and your little man will be back at home with you and his new little sister.

Can I just tell you that I am sooooo sick of work. I'm tired of the responsibilities and all the other stuff that comes with the job! Just want to get prepared for my baby and hang out with my family. I promised Charleston I'd work until the end unless medically I couldn't since I will be out for almost 4 months once Jordan gets here, but ughhhh, I need the time off now. I think I'll take a nap too :)

Thanks so much for the words of wisdom. I really need them right now. I saw the Doctor today and he cancelled the cerclage for now. He wants to wait until the hemorrhage has cleared up some. He is also referring me out to maternal-fetal medicine. He is pretty sure no matter what we do the baby will come early, I just don't want it to happen too early. Thank you again. I am so glad there are wonderful people like you on this site. I don't have any family near except my DH - - and talking to him about it is like talking to an empty room. I think it's a guy thing.

I hear you with the shopping freeze...Hubby now needs to buy a new car and to be honest, we only have a few necessity items left.

I know you's love to be moving around alot Mamma but you need to keep Miss Nyla in there a bit longer and then you can go back to your bust beaver lifestyle :)don't get bumbed about it as God has a funny way of forcing us to be still when we really need to.

The shower was wonderful... I feel so blessed that people came all the way here from Chicago to celebrate with us and our family here is so happy for us as well..it was a good weekend!

So glad to hear everything is going well! 32 weeks, that is GREAT! When do your doctor's think you will deliver. I get my pump off Tuesday, so I am hoping to have my little guy here by that Sunday. We'll see, only God knows when!

Sorry you are missing your little guy :( How long will he be gone? I also knoW all too will about the temper tandrums, LOL. Best to ignore as they ususally pass as quickly as they come on. I could not imagine the population of the world if hey had to carry a baby almost nine months and then deliver it :)

Do you think you will deliver early? Sounds like all is under control now and you will just go naturally since you had the cervix stitched...

Hey there! It;s midnight and unfortunately I can not go to sleep...Jordan is wide awake too since he can feel mom moving about. Hubby's still out of town until tomorrow. My son is putting together a baby jumper one of my friends sent for the baby shower. (yeahhh the shower is Saturday) He;s being a great kid today, lol :)How are you?

No - that wasn't long winded, it was wonderful. It is so much easier going into this kind of knowing what to expect. I know they are planning on doing the McDonald cerclage for me. I am going to be nervous until I have my baby in my arms. Thanks so much for the information and you keep me posted on your status too!

Thank you so much. I am going to have my cerclage done next week, I'm nervous especially since this is the 3rd time they have moved up the date to do it. I know what the doctor has told me and I have looked up all the information I can find, but it doesn't compare to talking with someone who has had it. What type of anesthesia did you have? How long did it take for you to recover? Once it is placed and you have recovered can you feel the cerclage in place? Sorry if that is a lot to answer but I am very curious and scared. I want to make sure I do everything it takes to make this a successful pregnancy.

I had the other one. It wasn't too bad, a bit uncomfortable, but the exam was worse after! I'm just glad it's out, I'm hoping I go into labor before my induction date 27th! Let me know how your making out. Good luck
