Hello all! Excellent day today. Bunny Bun had a really great scan this morning and it's official- Bunny is a Girl! We're so happy. Honestly it didn't matter what we were having, only that the baby is healthy. Now it's time to start up the shopping and decorating the nursery. Love and hugs to all and I hope that you're having a good day today. We are!

Hello all. Had a bit of a scare on Tuesday. Headaches, saw those little silvery stars and was light headed all day. I thought I may have been coming down with this flu that's been sweeping the lands-After work I came home to try and lay down, to only become restless and worrisome. I went to triage and found out that I was dehydrated and my blood pressure was up. I felt bad because all day long, I tried to wait it out thinking that my "off" feeling would pass. Eventually it did, however there could have been something more serious happening to us and I didn't heed the warnings. I'm grateful that this was a minor issue and can be avoided in the future by monitoring my salt intake...no protein in the urine and I'm not pre-eclamptic as of this point.

On a more pleasant note, we find out what we are having this Tuesday- can't wait. I think we are having a boy- Daddy wants another little girl. I'm happy either way. We have a couple names picked out. Dante Lee and Nya Belle... I'll post again soon! thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

NT Scan went well today...Bunny Bun is doing well. Wasn't as active as we would have liked to see and that's ok. Melted my heart today, that's for sure.

ahhhh deep breath here. Tuesday during a cervical length measurement ultrasound it was discovered that my cervix was starting to funnel from the inside out. I was consulted on getting a cerclage- which this exact happening was what we were hoping to catch with the biweekly scans- and I elected to have one. We did the works- spinal block-cut away and pushed up part of my bladder to get the stitch up higher and we made it out ok with minimal discomfort. I will tell you this, I knew for a long time that my cervix wasn `t `normal ` and that I was going to have issues with this pregnancy- however my dr `s really didn `t seem to understand what I was trying to tell them. An incompetent cervix/soft mushy cervix like mine doesn `t `look ` incompetent on an ultra sound. It wasn `t until I was on the operating table and they manually examined my cervix were they able to determine that the fibers of my cervix were to flexible they could have put a finger through it right to the baby. This catch in the changes of my body were meant to happen. I believe that angels were watching over us on Tuesday. I pray daily and thank God that this opportunity was given and allowed to be taken. We `re on modified bedrest and will find out this afternoon after my follow up scan if I can return to work on Monday. I `m hoping that I am able to go back. At the very least this baby needs to stay in for 7 more weeks according to the surgeon. I `m not so good at the layng around thing. I will update later on this afternoon.

follow up scan went well. We are able to return to work Monday with very limited activity. The cerclage is in a good position and Bunny Bun is doing well too. Her h/r was 166 this afternoon. To all of those that have shared their cerclage stories and experiences, thank you so much for your input. It helped me become a better health advocate for myself and I appreciate it- we appreciate it so much. Thank you for being around for us. xoxo

I'm glad it worked for you too. I really was skeptical when I tried it on myself the first night, but it was good.

I get crampy a lot too.I had my first contractions and spotting on April 3rd, but they stopped on their own.

Now, they are back. I have been having contractions for a few weeks, with a REALLY bad one in the ob/gyn's office.

He felt it, and looked worried. I told him that two days earlier I had been in a movie when I had 5 or 6 in a half hour. He said that if it happened again to go right to labour and delivery. He was hinting at this last appointment and others that he doesn't think this baby will make it to term.
I have lost 37 lbs so far, and have not gained an ounce back. He said my baby is showing as being really small. Between the ob/gyn, the family doc, the nutritionist and hospital appointments, I am seeing somebody at least every week. This week I have two appointments. (nutritionist and the glucose test are both on Friday. Last week I saw the ob/gyn and had an ultrasound, which was my 6th one!) Did they give you something to stop labour already? What was it? Are you under orders not to lift anything heavier than 5 lbs, or not to exercise, or have "intimate relations" too? what a pain that is! If a mother can't lift more than 5 lbs, then how is she supposed to get laundry done, make supper?!?! I think my milk jug weighs more than 5 lbs, LOL.

I hope that your pains subside. I wish they would sell that rub in ice cream sized tubs, LOL. Good luck, and keep me posted. take care, E-C-L

It was a holy terror! I am not a fan of cold weather or snow (and I grew up in the midwest!) I'm just happy we are done with it for a few months..I hope!

Yeah I have 5 fibroids and had a previous C-Section with my son. With all of that, my doctor reccomended that we not try to go natural as we don't think I will be able to handle it physically. So we have scheduled the C-Section for 7/25 at 7:30 AM...good thing is I know his birthday...unless he decides to arrive earlier :-)

Hey, I'm doing really well. I'm nearly 32 weeks now so we're very happy. How about you, are you keeping well?
I've got a hospital appointment next week so I hope he may give me some idea as to what is going to happen over the next month. They are going to give me a c section so I can keep the stitch in for if we try for another baby. What have the docs said to you? I can't belive we've come this far...it's great isn't it x :-)

I've been real tired too!! I have that broken crotch thing.. so any time I even attempt to turn over in bed I have an excruciating pain in my groin.
Funny you mention nausea.. these past 2 mornings I've been feeling VERY nauseous.

its just simple things like getting down on all fours and moving about,also a lot of walking is real good for turning the lil one round but i aint gonna start doing it till about 36 weeks as he might turn round himself before then,is your lil one breetch too ?ye i know what you mean about the docs doing it manually i really dont want it to come to that either lol well let me know how you get on,lol i think i will just wash the floor on all fours(with a cloth) everyday at 36 weeks lol and see how i go lol or maybay we should just do hand stands too lol

yes, it's almost exactly like vic's, only not greasy! it's smelly like vic's. Somebody told me that it works like A535, but I don't know that product bc I have never used it. It's a nice muscle relaxant and works pretty muhc from the second you put it on.

The flat screen TV...so his nursery used to be affectionately known as my "Quiet Room." This was a room that hubby and son were never allowed in and I was able to just go in hang out, read, light candles, have wine, relax from my days and just be still. When we found out I was preggers, it was known that it would be the nursery so I worked out a deal with hubby that I still need some amenities as I will be spending alot of time there with the baby :)and we had just built a Theater room that is basically for he and my son. I think it was a small price for him to pay given he got an additional room out of the deal..LOL

Hey, thanks for the response! It is just such a pain in the neck being thirsty all of the time. I drink so much now that shopping, going to the movies, etc. are no fun because I spend most of the time running back and forth to the pottie! Smile. Hope that your pregnancy is going great!

It looks like we will be going in around the same time since Miss Bun Bun is almost ready... I have eased back with the spending too...hubby made me promise I would not buy anything else until after the shower in another week. I have literally had to just stay away from the stores because i have so little control!LOL... I'm happy you were able to shop, I can live vicariously through you :)))

I hope you post pictures of the nursery when you are done...I can't wait to see! Lost some of the MP, huh, wow, we are officially on our way! I have been feeling some pressure down there and in my butt today, I don't remember that with John either..not sure if that means I'm starting to dialate or not, seems a bit early for that to me, but then again I never started sialating with John and had to be induced... I have a doc appt on Thurs, so I'll find out!

Me and dad know the boy will be a III, but we have no idea for a girl. I like Taijah, he doesn't. He likes Taylor, I don't. HELP! LOL!
