Hello all! Excellent day today. Bunny Bun had a really great scan this morning and it's official- Bunny is a Girl! We're so happy. Honestly it didn't matter what we were having, only that the baby is healthy. Now it's time to start up the shopping and decorating the nursery. Love and hugs to all and I hope that you're having a good day today. We are!

Hello all. Had a bit of a scare on Tuesday. Headaches, saw those little silvery stars and was light headed all day. I thought I may have been coming down with this flu that's been sweeping the lands-After work I came home to try and lay down, to only become restless and worrisome. I went to triage and found out that I was dehydrated and my blood pressure was up. I felt bad because all day long, I tried to wait it out thinking that my "off" feeling would pass. Eventually it did, however there could have been something more serious happening to us and I didn't heed the warnings. I'm grateful that this was a minor issue and can be avoided in the future by monitoring my salt intake...no protein in the urine and I'm not pre-eclamptic as of this point.

On a more pleasant note, we find out what we are having this Tuesday- can't wait. I think we are having a boy- Daddy wants another little girl. I'm happy either way. We have a couple names picked out. Dante Lee and Nya Belle... I'll post again soon! thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

NT Scan went well today...Bunny Bun is doing well. Wasn't as active as we would have liked to see and that's ok. Melted my heart today, that's for sure.

ahhhh deep breath here. Tuesday during a cervical length measurement ultrasound it was discovered that my cervix was starting to funnel from the inside out. I was consulted on getting a cerclage- which this exact happening was what we were hoping to catch with the biweekly scans- and I elected to have one. We did the works- spinal block-cut away and pushed up part of my bladder to get the stitch up higher and we made it out ok with minimal discomfort. I will tell you this, I knew for a long time that my cervix wasn `t `normal ` and that I was going to have issues with this pregnancy- however my dr `s really didn `t seem to understand what I was trying to tell them. An incompetent cervix/soft mushy cervix like mine doesn `t `look ` incompetent on an ultra sound. It wasn `t until I was on the operating table and they manually examined my cervix were they able to determine that the fibers of my cervix were to flexible they could have put a finger through it right to the baby. This catch in the changes of my body were meant to happen. I believe that angels were watching over us on Tuesday. I pray daily and thank God that this opportunity was given and allowed to be taken. We `re on modified bedrest and will find out this afternoon after my follow up scan if I can return to work on Monday. I `m hoping that I am able to go back. At the very least this baby needs to stay in for 7 more weeks according to the surgeon. I `m not so good at the layng around thing. I will update later on this afternoon.

follow up scan went well. We are able to return to work Monday with very limited activity. The cerclage is in a good position and Bunny Bun is doing well too. Her h/r was 166 this afternoon. To all of those that have shared their cerclage stories and experiences, thank you so much for your input. It helped me become a better health advocate for myself and I appreciate it- we appreciate it so much. Thank you for being around for us. xoxo

thanks for the compliment on Micah....he is such a blessing to me. I think that almost everyone in America is having some type of financial issues due to the economy, but God will never withhold a good thing from those who love him! Keep me posted on that stitch status :-) Have a blessed week!

Awww how crazy! Are you getting nervous? I am excited for you!

I think we all do that, wonder what they will be like, who they will be like.

I am not nervous at all for the delivery...yet...just anxious. I love being pregnant right now. I love when he moves I love not being sick. My belly in't too big so I can still do things! But I just can't wait to meet my little man and hold him!!

It sounds lovely!! I can't wait to get mine. Your right, its all natural and much cheaper than all the other things that are made up of chemicals that you can buy and half the time they don't work anyways. How are you feeling?

That is a really beautiful name!!

We picked the name Paxton a long time ago and then the other day I went and looked it up and it means peace on the farm haha which means it is perfect because Tuesday will be one year since my dad passed away and both my sisters and I have been having dreams about our dad being on a farm and saying how happy he is there and how he is going to make the roosters crow for us. Sounds lame but it makes me feel positive it is the perfect name!! and I am giving Paxton my dads middle name so it just makes me so happy that it seems so right!

A pregnant woman letting loose on the job about people messin with her money? not a pretty sight! But i don't blame you. Ughhhh! I hate dealing wth the benefits department and I'm in HR! I'm sorry they gave you a hard time. You work all year and then need some time off and get screwed. I'm taking off for 12 weeks total. 4 weeks are paid vacation time and the other 8 weeks are paid at 50% of my pay and after i return from my leave, i have to work 4 weeks and I will get paid the other 50% in a lump sum payment. It's clearly their way of making sure you come back to work...My husband was pissed about that and we work for the same company!

Speaking of chocolate we have nothing, I hope you found something sweet cause I can't even find a piece of candy in this house.

Thank you! That was kind! :) I do love "messing about" with fabric. Right now bending over the sewing machine table too long is VERY uncomfortable though!! :)

You are having a GIRL! What a blessing! I wanted one so badly... God knows what He is about and I'm looking forward to another little boy to love and raise. (Your son looks typically onery and too CUTE!! What fun!!)

I have never heard of a cerclage... but our Ty is breech and I understand the anxiety of pending unwelcome and "uncomfortable" procedures! (We are talking about the manual cephalic version that could be in our future... OUCH!) Keep us posted and let us know how you do. I will be thinking of you and I will pray for the comfort and safety of both you and Nyah (I've loved that name since MI2!!)

ughhh, sorry you had the emotional day from hell. You were not alone!!!! I cried all yesterday evening while we were checking out schools for John for college next year. I just wish i had met Charleston sooner and we had Jordan sooner and we could have more than a year left with him in the house with his new litle brother...I was a freak show as well and honey you would have told me so! He has narrowed it down to 4 schools all far away as he has his mothers adventurous spirit (NY, Savannah, GA, Tx and NC) I was a mess and he and hubby are now planning to fly to see these schools this summer after Jordan is born and I can't go for this round so you know I was a mess. He is still my first baby and I will miss him sooo much, ughhh i don't even want to think about next year. Hubby was emotional too!

Jeez! Sorry, I know this was about you but I had to vent :) What were you upset about?

Well, I only spoke the truth. You are great. I found out yesterday that I will be going over to meet with the Maternal-Fetal medicine specialists on Monday or Tuesday and our goal is to place the cerclage by the end of next week - - that is as long as I don't have a bleeding episode between now and then. So I am doing some heavy duty praying!! They want to have both of my OB's and 2 Fetal specialists in the room to monitor me and the baby. So right now besides resting, I am on pins and needles being nervous, but excited too because without the cerclage they want me t make it to 28 weeks but with they expect me to make it to 34 weeks. 6 weeks never seemed like a long time to me before, but those are 6 weeks that I definitely want this little one to stay put. Yes, We are absolutely done after Jordan! But, I think he just had a moment of what if and I calmed him down and the tubes will be tied during/or directly thereafter the C- Section. Men love to keep the maternity ward open and I my sister will officially be closed for business :) He knew that but was wondering if we should go that drastic. It was more the fear of God forbid something happening, and this not being reverible. All's well now, tubes are being tied as per schedule :)

That dream was a trip! Nyah will be here soon hun, and all of thw madness will soon be forgotten.

I have to tell you a funny story. My hubby finally admitted that he is starting to freak out about the birth and the fact that the baby is coming in 4 weeks! It was good to know that he is actually having some fear as well...He was also freakin out about the fact that I'm having my tubes tied, that one was a suprise because we had discussed it. Anyway, we talked it through and we were fine but it's funny that it is now soaking in that he will be here in 4 WEEKS!!!!!
