Let's see--I'll start by telling a bit about our little family unit. My husband, Jesse, and I were high school sweethearts. We dated all through college, and just recently got married on September 8th, 2007. We dated for almost 8 years (but what can you do when you meet when you're 16 and 18!). I'll take a moment to say that I'm so thankful to have my husband in my life--he's my best friend and absolutely wonderful (certainly not perfect) but wonderful still! :) We're are expecting our first little on (a son) somewhere around the beginning of November. (It was a little unexpected--as much as it actually can be). However, we're both very excited (and a bit nervous!)

Based on the conception (which I based off of my "runs like clockwork" cycle) and how this little guy was measuring at the ultrasound, I am technically due on November 1st. HOWEVER, the doctor originally thought I was due on November 9th, and since the u/s dated our little guy only a little off, my doctor decided to keep my original due date of Nov. 9th. So I'm just going to start saying--I'm due somewhere around the beginning of November! :)

Well, my profile was getting ENTIRELY too long, so I decided to move all of my previous posts to blog form! So I suppose from this point forward I'll just post blogs with updates from my week!

oh man! there wouldn't be any space for my hubby in our bed if i slept with all those pillows. just my one body pillow felt like it's too much (along with a head pillow). i'm just going to take my snoogle out since it does the work of atleast three pills (head, back and between legs). i'll see how that goes tonight. i am just a back sleeper so it just gets to me not being able to sleep on my back! i end up on my back anyway but wake up with a sore back.

i actually went to the candy store today just to get those licorice pipes... LOL...

Hey! Yes I am feeling soooo much better, 16 weeks has been great so far! So far I bought a lot of stuff for the baby because we have no family here in SC so I won't be having a shower, unless people send me stuff. Which I don't like relying on because I am a HUGE planner, so I have gotten a lot of stuff so far. I can't wait to feel the baby kick, I think I feel it flutter every now and then, but I can't tell if it's the baby or my stomach. I have my u/s on Aug. 21st I will be 20 weeks then. I can't wait to see how big it got, but we don't want them to tell us what it is. My mother-in-law is mad about that, she wants to know what it is, but I told her she'll have to wait until Jan. I just got done putting the changing table together, it is white and converts into a desk for when the baby gets bigger, I got it at Target, I LOVE it! Our color theme is mostly light green and yellow, with dragon flies. The baby's room is my fav. room in the house right now I love just sitting in there and folding clothes and organizing :). My grandma is giving us a crib and high chair which is awesome, 2 big things out of the way. When do you do your glucose test? They told me around 24 weeks. Well hope you are well. hey, no cravings for me... just that i crave to eat ANYTHING after 11pm. it's so weird... sometimes i'll start craving something weird out of the blue (like a McD's applie pie or licorice), but nothing weird like jalepenos! LOL do u eat them raw?! aren't they hot???

i cannot sleep anymore. i roll around for two hrs until i get comfy. and it's so annoying because all i do is look forward to going to bed at night! lol. but it's ok, girl we have only 16 weeks left. probably only 14-15 for me (c-section - sigh).

yea, it kind of sucks that u couldnt really see your lil man moving all around and everything, but id actually rather her make sure their was nothing wrong witth my baby then see him move a lot on the ultrasound. just seeing him altogether though, is absolutley amazing !! i can not wait until my ultrasound to see my baby and find out if its a boy or a girl !! my baby is moving right now, isnt is just the best feeling in the world ?? i love it, i dont think their is abetter feeling !!!! <3 hope your feeling great !!!

oh cool, i never heard of that before. i'm doing fine but am getting really tired really fast these days. feeling sleep deprived too (not sure why since i don't have to get up for my daughter during the middle of the night anymore). ah i don't know how i'm going to pull it off when the second one arrives!

Hi, I wanted to give everyone an update on my work situation. I reported to work today at 8am my scheduled time and at 3pm 1 hr before my shift ends my boss came and called me into her office to sign the warning paperwork pertaining to the 3 days I called off in July 2 of which I had a medical excuse for. I told her that I refuse to sign the paperwork because I have medical documentation and 1 non medical excused call off is not considered excessive for 1 month. She told me I had to sign it anyway even if I did not agree and that I could write a comment on the paper and I said no, not without my legal councel rewiewing this document. I picked the paper off the table to look at It and she tried to snatch it from me stating that I was not allowed to have a copy unless I signed it. I still refused. She told me that I will be insubordinate but I still held my ground. I walked out of the office and resumed my duties until 4pm. I ultimately decided not to give in to this because I discussed this with my dad and sterpmother and they advised me that I do have rights even as a part time employee and that what they are trying to do is NOT legal. I also got alot of responses from all of you. So, I guess we'll find out what happens with me this week. Yes, I do need the money but I am not going to let anyone take my rights away, so thats why I decided to stand my ground. Oh yeah, they cancelled the zoo trip and she didn't even tell me to come to work and when I brought that up she got defensive and said she had already found coverage. Anyway, I hope everyones pregnancy is going well and I want to thank everyone who responded to my post needing advice.

Congrats on your baby boy! And congrats on finding your love in high school :) I have been with mine since high school too and can tell you that after having our first child last August...well life just seemed sooo complete :) LOL soo complete that we decided to have another one who is due in Sept :). I just wanted to give everyone an update: I talked with alot of you abot my terrible appt with my midwife ( she was real nasty to me) last Tues and that the u/s report stated that they weren't able to get a good look at my babys entire head, so of course I worried that something was wrong with my babys head. I had my u/s this morning and everything is good (his head is completely normal) I was worrying myself for no reason. Also, my midwife wasn't so nasty to me today; I mentioned to her about the sharp pains in my cervix and she told me not to worry unless I was having strong contraction like pains. She offered to check me but said that checking sometimes causes more problems and irritates the cervix, so I did not get checked. I only worry about preterm labor because I was dilated 1 1/2 cm and contracting at 22 weeks with my first son; I was given medication and Iv fliuds and the labor did not progress. Anyhow, now that my u/s has proven my baby to be healthy I can finally quit stressing. I was just told to take it easy and not overdue myself as far as walking and activities are concerned. Thank you for listening to my complaints.lol. I was just stressing about the head issue way too much.
