Let's see--I'll start by telling a bit about our little family unit. My husband, Jesse, and I were high school sweethearts. We dated all through college, and just recently got married on September 8th, 2007. We dated for almost 8 years (but what can you do when you meet when you're 16 and 18!). I'll take a moment to say that I'm so thankful to have my husband in my life--he's my best friend and absolutely wonderful (certainly not perfect) but wonderful still! :) We had our first little one on Saturday, October 18th, 2008. His name is Jackson David ("Jack"). He has such a sweet and calm disposition, and we might be biased, but we think he's absolutely precious! :)

Well, my profile was getting ENTIRELY too long, so I decided to move all of my previous posts to blog form! So I suppose from this point forward I'll just post blogs with updates from my week!

Heres the work update: Alot of you are asking and it is so I thought I'd give a big update on it. Anyway, I reported to work on Sat and my boss was already there and the lady from human resources came shortly after. I was then called into the office for a meeting and I of course had a copy of the work handbook with me.haha. So, I once again stated my case and why I was refusing to sign the dicipline and h/r broke down the days that my boss was trying to count against me. The 2 Saturdays in June were thrown out by h/r becuase they were preapproved days off and not call offs( my boss tried to say that they were not pre approved) but I told her she better tell the truth because there is documentation to prove that they were( I filled out a personal leave paper 2 weeks in advance), so she admitted to h/r that they were indeed pre approved. That left 3 days in July 2, which were pregnancy related and 1, which was due to babysitter having an emergency. 1 ofm the drs excuse days was also thrown out but I am being held responsible for the (babysitter day). Anyway, h/r told my boss to hold off on the dicipline until I submit the zoo trip excuse, which I did yesterday, so we'll see what happens. I did point out that policy states that FMLA excuses cannot be held against an employee along with the fact that a dicipline cannot be issued unless the excessive absences are 2 consecutive months in a row, which does not apply to me since the June days were thrown out. H/R is supposed to be mailing me FMLA paperwork to fill out if I have any future pregnancy related call offs, which would count against my 12 weeks. Honestly I think they were both floored that I had a copy of the handbook and brought it with me to state my case. I guess I'll see what happens next. I think that evil boss of mine will try to find another way to get me out. I told them that I planned to stay until Oct 1st and my boss made a comment saying If you last that long, which I replied what do you mean by that? She said well... you don't know what can happen with your pergnancy and all. Whatever! That woman is NASTY! I ahve had problems with her ever since she became manager back in Oct. I can't wait to leave that place and never go back! I will soon have my new little boy. I am not going to let that crappy job bring me down. It is what it is. Thank you all for your concerns and I will give another update when I find out whats next.

It was fun to be home for a little while. I was expecting a typical Seattle summer, but I brought the weather with me! mid to high 90's and sunny, but no one back home has air conditioning! I was sweating something fierce... haha not very lady like but oh well.

I'm glad to hear you've been feeling well. Are you getting excited?

I've been doing good. I'm starting to get a little apprehensive and anxious but hopefully that will all calm down soon. I'm taking it easy today because I had one solitary contraction while running around yesterday... it was definetly different from BH contractions I've had before, but it's neat to know what to expect in the future.

ok i didn't get it when u had mentioned it... but i went to the store the other day to get some pizza supplies and wanted to buy some jalepenos and he said i won't find them anywhere and that they're not allowed to sell them anymore. i thought "since when is it illegal to eat something hot?" but i put what u said with what the man said, and realised something's going on about jalepenos! what happened? did they find some bacteria in those too??? i'm so lost!

hey im doin good! we went to chicago two weeks back and took riley in the car with us. 16 whole hours and she did great! remember to invest in something called gripe water when you have your baby. it calms fussy babies down and its a lifesaver!! shes starting to smile a ton now. it melts my heart to pieces to see her smiling up at me!! shes also started to sleep through the night. she slept 9 hours straight the other night. i freaked out and thought she wasnt breathing!! anyways, how being pregnant? im so jealous of you. i loved every single second of pregnancy!!
