Thursday, 15 May My dr. told me the kind of stitch he did but i can't remember for anything!! LOL You think i would for something that important!! I went on bedrest on March 13 and have been working from home since to..it's kinda nice, at least i still get some of a paycheck!! The last appt. i went to the dr. did a pelvic exam to check my cervix, and now i don't seem him until june!! It kinda makes me worried because i see how many people are going once a week or everyother week and here i am waiting 4 weeks..but he did tell me before i got pregnant, that he start out every 2 weeks and if my cerclage & cervix looks good he'll move it up!! So maybe that's a good sign!! I don't know!! LOL My only problem now is i have got the worst headaches EVER!! I have them even when i sleep they wake me up!! And tylenol is NOT working for them at all!!! It's driving me crazy!! Do you guys have a name picked out and everything already?? Congrats on making it past 28 weeks that's so excitting!! I hope i'll be able to write you and tell you i did the same!! :O) Melissa83 -
Thursday, 15 May Thank you soo much!! Hearing stories like that really makes me feel better. Sometimes i feel like i'm losing my mind!!! I've set a few goals for my self, the first is make it 24 weeks than 30 and then of course 40...lol anything is better than 21 or 23!!! I'm glad to hear that your stitch is holding soo well..i praying mine continues to do the same. Do you just have one stitch? My dr. put 2 in one up higher and one a lil lower. I wasn't sure if that was normal! :) But if it helps..he could put in a 100..lol Do you know what your having?? Carmione -
Monday, 14 April I do get bad heartburn. I've learned to be pretty good at determining the culprit. Acidic juices and koolaid-sometimes apple juice. Ever since I started taking Fiber choice daily- I haven't had too many troubles with heartburn or constipation-which is fine by me. I'm thinking that I'll be on bed rest coming soon, even though they say everything is fine and it place...I'm going to have to go in and have one of the ends of this "loose" stitch trimmed bluntly, they cut it at an angle and that is the poking that I feel. If it's not one thing, it's another it seems with this! I keep smiling though. I can handle it, it's just a bit annoying. Yesterday Bunny wasn't beeing cooperative when I was trying to relax if I moved in the slightest, she would slide on over and make it so I couldn't go back to that position- :) The talking outloud to her has begun and it's started to confuse my son and my husband. Devan keeps sayin..."Mom, who are you talking to??" and I answer him and he always looks around the room as if she's not in my belly anymore- it cracks me up. TJ7 -

Monday, 14 April I am feeling pretty good...Ravenous and I can't seem to get enough to eat. I switched to whole milk- I've only put on 7lbs so far and well- should Nyah come early, I want her to be as plump as she can be. I know that she'll only put on weight as she is able to- but at this point it's not about me, it's about her. We bought her first clothing this weekend, and I finished my third blanket for her- it's rather cute I tell you! I hope we don't lose it! How are you doing? It's funny- right before I got the cerclage, there weren't too many on here that had them- now that I have it seems like the numbers are starting to add up- vy -
Friday, 11 April Yep, any form of reassurance makes me feel better. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I have a transvaginal ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday which I tried re-scheduling for today but unfortunately they were fully booked and couldn't squeeze me in. Have you been on bedrest post cerclage? mom4aab -
Thursday, 10 April Hi I am glad my story was able to give you hope. That is why I posted it. I had such a hard time finding hopeful stories after I had my cerclage placed. I had never even heard of IC until I almost lost my little girl to it. I am so sorry to hear of your lose. I cannot even imagine how hard that must be. You will be in my prayers. You can make it! I have been funneled to stitch since they did the cerclage. I just tried to stay on bedrest as much as possible. keep me updated...and best of luck to you and baby! nickijane2001 -
Friday, 4 April Hi there ce ce
I went back today to the consultant cervix still 4mm and still funneling, he is concerned but went to another consultant and they agreed no stitch. So life is just to carry on using the pesseries, but dont bedrest (cause they say can cause blood clots) just take it easy they say lol. I had all my other 3 children fine my first was 6 weeks early and weighed 4lb 12oz, my second full term 7lb 12oz and my son full term 6lb 12 oz. But after him i had too loop procedures done on my cervix so i believe this is why. I am very worried as dont know what to expect. Will keep you posted from Nicki (Good Luck) nickijane2001 -
Thursday, 3 April hi there cece, thank u for your comments.
three weeks ago i was 16mm with no funnelling, so carried on as normal with bi-weekly cervical scans, was just put on pesseries. When i went back my cervix was down to 4mm with funnelling. I had a consultant sign me off work for 2 weeks and 2 other doctors telling me 2 bed rest, but the consultant said theres no evidence.Well i have bedrested and my cervix has stayed at 4mm but is still funnelling so to me the bed rest has worked. I had the steriod injections last week 2 shots. Been sent home again and told i dont need to bed rest just take it easy, but im so scared now as when i was doing things it dropped 12 mm in a week and when i bedrested it stayed the same confused i am. Got to go back next week for another scan so fingers crossed. They did tell me its 2 late to put a stitch in as new research says it can be more dangerous. Well keep ur chin up and stay in touch i will keep you posted.

Monday, 31 Mar Thanks for the response. Now that I know we're in a 'safer'position as far as the ic is concerned I can relax more. I was pretty much a nervous wreck up until we got past week 19. But from all of the worrying done, I understand that this is just a path that I must walk and take everything in stride. Carmione -
Friday, 28 Mar I have the funneling too from the inside out- Cerclage was put in on Wednesday this week and my scan today went well. Prognosis is very good. The power of a positive attitude can change the outcome of alot of life's events I have found. If you want to chat some more, just message me. Take care. suziewin -
Wednesday, 26 Mar Hiya, I had my cerclage placed at 15 weeks and had further funnelling and shortening found a month after the procedure. Ive just had a 21 week scan and there is no sign of funnelling now, and my cervical length has increased from 27mm to 37mm so am over the moon. I put myself on restricted duties (no vacuming and lifting heavy stuff) and have been sitting with my feet up as much as possible. It has def paid off. I know it is worrying about cervical changes but if you rest up you will hopefully see an improvement. Feel free to message my page if you want to talk. pargy -

Tuesday, 25 Mar Hi! I had an emergancy cerclage placed at 21w4d and I have been funneled to the stitch since. My doc made it sound like it was common with people who have cerclages. He said as long as it doesn't funnel past stitch. and I am now 34w1d and doing ok. are you on bedrest? I have also been on modified bedrest too. Good luck to you and baby!!
