Too old? I am the same age as you - actually I may be older now that I just had a birthday this week. We can exchange email addresses but we can also keep in touch on here (if we have time) since there is forum for babies - we can keep our pages.

Congrats on the date - I think we will probably have our babies within days of each other - since I will be 38 weeks on Aug 28.

My MIL is only here for another couple days, and then my SIL comes until the end of Aug - then my mom comes for a month - and then my MIL and FIL for October - we have help for quite a while!!!!

Wow how exciting on the date!! At least you know when its all going to happen!! Good luck!! xx

We for sure will have to keep in touch once we have our babes - since they will be the same age almost to the week - so I am sure we will have lots of stories to share with each other. SOOOOO, are you going to have anymore?????

I have had a better day, though I get so tired so quick. My MIL is here helping so I always have help with the girls now - it makes a huge difference. However i think they are a bit crankier these days because they don't get as much mom time as they used to - it would probably be easier if they didn't see me around the house.

Let me know how your appt goes tomorrow. FOUR MORE WEEKS - YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

Very Funny!!!! I think I might have to pass on trying for the third set - even if it means giving up the celebrity status! I think I would enjoy my sanity instead.

Your babes are doing well! Almost exactly the same as mine at the same time. I have my next scan in a week (34 weeks) so I will see how much they have grown again. I wonder if I will continue to have them until they are born - I will have to ask the doc next week.

I am starting to hit the wall - yesterday was the first day that I felt like I would rather have to deal with two newborns than being pregnant - just utterly exhausted - and I didn't even do much yesterday. Oh well - I had a good sleep last night and hopefully today goes better. One day at a time right?

That is so great they are getting so big!! I have a scan next tuesday and then one more the last week of august but I hope they will be out before that one. I will have more of the less fancy ones in the office every week to check the fluid levels but those onws are not as clear as the one next week.

You are so funny I tell all of my friends I want to have my babies in london! Everyone drools in amazment about how inexpensive it is and all of the paid time off of work.

Some days are better than others at work but it is kinda fun to be fussed over too. I never have to bend over to pick anything up and the girls I work with are super fun. They really do spoil me. I got a much needed pedicure today, nothing better than a great foot & leg rub. Now at least they are pretty big giant sausage toes!

I am so bummed you feel so crummy. I wishI could make it better for you! Take care!!!:)

Second set of quads! Ouch! Yes I am glad that I only have two at a time - at least I can hold one in each arm at the same time. Any more then that I wouldn't know how to handle it. Did you check out that site: http://www.freewebs.com/facts-about-multiples/multiplemultiples.htm

Ummmm - more babies - so I found out that once you have had fraternal twins your chance of having twins again quadruples!!!! So, I don't think we will have any more - it is more like a joke around here about having a third set! We would have to move to the country, have our own massive garden with our own chickens and cows just so that we could afford to eat! What about you? I have never heard of twin insurance before now - both you and another lady on here have mentioned it but you are both from the UK.

buninoven - Wednesday, 23 July
Don't be so hard on yourself! You are being very brave with all of this!! I melt down every couple of days and then I do ok! It is nice to have people that know exactly how you feel! I can feel your pain! :) I have to think this is only a little time longer!

It is really interesting to hear your hospital story. Not much privacy. If the baby floor at ours is overfull there is a slim chance we would have to share a room with one other mom in the recovery phase. Otherwise they would move me to another hospital 20 minutes away.

I am amazed how much stuff we have aquired!! It takes a lot of stuff foe these kids!! Feel better soon!! :)

twinstwice - Tuesday, 22 July
Don't worry about complaining- that is what we are here for - since we are all going through the same sort of stuff! I am sorry about the heartburn - I have had it for a while now and it does suck! I am looking forward to next summer when I have a normal body, and the next set of kids will be into a decent routine by then! Yes - I will enjoy them as babes too but I just think next summer will be fun!

My babes haven't dropped, though about three weeks ago one of them seemed to drop really low and I was in so much pain that I almost went into the hospital - but I had a doc appt the next day so I just waited it out (I wasn't having any regular contractions) and she said I was fine but that she could feel the head when she checked my cervix! Well, the next day I think the babe moved up again as I haven't felt like that since.

I am feeling pretty tired today - I just can't seem to find the willpower to do anything and I even had a decent sleep last night!

twin2008mommy - Monday, 21 July
My little one was having growth problems since the 27th week. When she measured me last tuesday neither had grown in a week and both had only grown about 250 g in 3 weeks. Which was not good considering they were only around 3.5 and 4 lbs and I was 34 weeks. She also said my fluids were looking like they had diminished a lot and that my placentas looked weak. So it was decided that they would be better off getting fed outside. The little one is almost completely self reliant as of today though and eating VERY well. My bigger girl seems to be the one who is winning her victories slowly and making small steps backwards after steps forwards. BUT it all seems to be just the nature of preemies and I have faith they will come home sooner than later.

twinstwice - Monday, 21 July
Hope you are feeling better with the ligament pain. I am really starting to feel their heads in the front of my hips so it gets difficult to sit for any period of time. It is strange to think that the countdown is on and that they really could come at anytime. I am going to wait another two weeks and then finalize cleaning the nursery, playpen, clothes, and pack for the hospital.

Hope you had a good weekend - we had a nice family Sunday and played in the backyard in the little splash pool.

buninoven - Monday, 21 July
My computer died so I have to use my hubbys and it seems like he never leaves it at home. Busyboy! Feeling good today doing the nesting cleaning like a wild women thing!

Yes, it seems that we will have our own room and it has a bed in it for the hubbs too. Some of the rooms have full entertainment systems and jetted tubs too. The whole birth costs like 25,000$ so they had better have a few ammenities. I only have to pay 2000$ due to my insurance so I feel like I am getting off lucky. Yes they will take your babies away any time you want to and get some rest. They encourage you to keep them in the room but they willl take them any time. I will be in the hospital 3 days minimum and I am OK with that, give me a chance to charge my battery so when I go home I can have some energy to take care of 2 babies. A couple of days later a lactation nurse will come to my house and help me out with breastfeeding if I need it. Then boom we are on our own!!!

I sure hope you feel better soon! Do you really think they will come early???? How exciting and scary!!!!

Nothing is set up in our babies room yet. My hubbs needs to put togeather 2 cribs, a bassinette, a changing table, a dresser and a double pram. He is going to be busy!!

Feel better soon!! Eat lots of spinache its supposed to have oodles of iron! Take care!!! :)

twinstwice - Saturday, 19 July
Oh I hope you are feeling better - hopefully they are just growing and not getting ready for their grand appearance! Lets hope for a few more weeks at least!

You should check out the website I posted on the 32-36 weeks site - pretty amazing!

buninoven - Saturday, 19 July
Oh my! I went to the Dr and I am 30 weeks & measured 42 weeks! My tummy is so numb! Is yours? My feet are freakishly big! I should join the circus! How are you feeling?? I can't believe you are 32 weeks!!! Have a great weekend!!! Take care!!

*emma-jane* - Friday, 18 July
i'll keep everything crossed for you that you have the natural birth! 5 weeks to go!! enjoy every moment of peace and quiet you get between now and then lol. i'm alright! very tired but thats to be expected with a tribe of children! i'm cleaning things that don't need to be cleaned and have an unhealthy urge to eat peanut butter all day long (i'm allergic!)i'm bored with being pregnant but its not long now is it.a boy and a girl at the same time! you struck gold! keep me updated x

twinstwice - Friday, 18 July
I think it is interesting how different countries induce it different weeks - you are 37 weeks, ladies in the USA seem to be at 36 weeks, and we are 38! We could still end up having our babes at the same time anyways!

No worries about TTTS - it is when they share a placenta, not when they are separate like ours.

I have been doing ok for the most part but I am still usually napping in the afternoon - we are probably getting the same amount of sleep!

We aren't going to get a quad stroller yet. I want to see if I will actually need one or not - I don't think that I will be heading out on my own with four kids in the winter so we will wait to see if the girls need much of a stroller next spring and then decide if we need a quad. Otherwise we will just push two strollers around for now! We will still be a scene.

Im in the USA

*emma-jane* - Thursday, 17 July
i've only lost a bit of it and i read that it replaces itself if you only lose the outer bit so phew! i see you are having twins! are you going for a natural birth or a c section? have you had twice the sickness/tiredness? x

twinstwice - Thursday, 17 July
I too am all belly and boobs - and I am sure that I have lost muscle mass in my legs since I was so active before and now I can't do much of anything.

My doc appt went well, she says that she won't have to check my cervix to check for premature labour any more. I have another US in two weeks though to check the babes growth.

I would like to nest - now that my MIL is here I am trying to do one extra thing a day (freezing fruit today) and pick away at the things that need to get done. It is so nice to be able to run out and complete and errand without having to haul the girls along.

So my doc said that if I haven't gone into labour on my own then I would get induced in my 38th week sometime - that would put me at Aug 28 or so! When is your date again?

*emma-jane* - Wednesday, 16 July
the mucus plug is a rubbery 'bung' that stops infection from getting to the baby.the plug comes away before labour but you can lose it up to a month before labour starts.if its blood stained or pink its a good sign labour is on the way but mine isnt, its a cloudy erm...clear and sorry for this but almost snotty looking almost solid or stringy lump bleaugh! anyhoo i rang the midwife and she tells me its because its my 6th baby and that i may have dilated a little bit as my plug has no blood in it i have nothing to worry about.i didnt notice my plug with all my pregnancies, just 3 of them. you are not missing out by not noticing it,its not pretty lol
