Saturday, 9 August I totally think you look like you are having twins! I think you are so tiny and adorable and I think your belly looks wonderful. You are soooo blessed to not have any stretch marks even though you are expecting twins. Good luck to you and you look amazing

Saturday, 9 August I drink soda water, soy milk, and eat Tums like crazy - and i still get the heartburn. Sorry you had a bad night last night - my hips were better but I had to get up to eat and take some tums for the heartburn.
My BH have been nasty lately too - but I am convinced that it is because I just can't drink enough water with the heat we have been having here. Are you still on your crutches?
So you didn't get your 8/8/08 birthdate? Can you hold out 10 days for a 8/18/8 - maybe a close second. i got my bag partly packed yesterday - still need nursing bras and I would like to buy a coming home outfit for each of the babes but I have plenty of clothes if I don't find anything I like. shyatt80 -

I think it looks like you are carrying twins, BUT you carry them VERY well! You look like you haven't gained much. twinstwice -
Friday, 8 August We have a fan in our room but it just isn't enough. And I ended up needing all the pillows to keep me upright to decrease the heartburn last night. Yuk.
I feel more tired this pregnancy but my husband says that I am doing way more this time than last at this stage. I don't know - I was my best friend's maid of honour at her wedding when I was 34 weeks last time - I couldn't imagine wearing those heals now!!!!
So we bought a quad stroller this morning. It is a beast and doesn't have any of the "nice" features but it pushes 4 kids around. We got it second hand for less than half price so we couldn't really say no. I told my husband that if we are only using it once or twice a month and not hauling it in and out of the car all the time it will work just fine - especially for the price - but if we end up using it multiple times a week then we should order the one from New Zealand (the cadillac of quad strollers - and 5 times the money!!!) buninoven -
Friday, 8 August WoW! I was really out of it. The kids are here! They were born c-section at 33 weeks. They are preemies even though their weight is good at 5lbs 13 oz & 4lbs 9 oz.They are doing great for their age so far. They are out of the incubators and off of the sateration monitors. They are maintaining their body temp their own and Keylin ate from a bottle today! Cressey latched on but still needs to work on technique. They still have in their tiny feeding tubes in to make sure they get enough. They have their heart monitors on but thats ok! They need to learn to put it all togeather, swallowing, breathing and sucking. They get air in their tummies easily and then it has to be drawn out. Its getting better for them each day. They are progressing large amounts each day!! They are supercute and cuddley. They make the cutest squeaky noises too. This is so fun I am bummed I didn't have children sooner! I can email you some pics to your email address I will try to do that tomarrow. Good luck to you and if you have to do the cesarian its really not bad at all! Promise! How are you feeling? twinstwice -
Friday, 8 August I might have to try the pillows. I really want to sleep in our bed since it is so comfy but it has been so hot that I have been sleeping in the basement where it is cooler. Some nights I don't know which is worse.
I am glad that your daughter has been helping. Is she at school during the day?
35 weeks today! spadoinkle -
Friday, 8 August is it helping you feel better..i hope so..no no date h ave an appointment tomorrow. for stress test us and dr appt. maybe theyll give me a date or an idea.. my family lives far away so i kinda wnat to know when to tell them to come.. twinstwice -
Thursday, 7 August Yes each day is a blessing - though last night I decided that I have to take each night and each day at a time separately. Now when I go to bed I am dreading the sore hips and having to get up and eat. And I occasionally get painful BH at night - 4 last night so that kept me up, but thankfully not enough to get hungry and have to get out of bed.
So a diaper bag - when you are looking just find one that can fit two bottles - I have a regular size one but I can fit two bottles into the insulated part and it has worked well. I am hoping that mine will still work since the girls just need their water bottles which I can put anywhere in the bag - and then use the insulated part for the newborns. Good luck shopping!
Oh come on - I am sure there are some attractive nursing bras out there!!!! Ha! twinstwice -
Thursday, 7 August So are the crutches helping? Did they check to see if you were effacing or dilating at all? I don't have an appointment until next Tuesday and I am wondering if they will do much besides check my BP and urine.
I haven't heard of a babe wanting to stay in that position after birth - but I never did any peds physio. I wouldn't think it would be hard to work on - just playing bicycle with his legs when he isn't swaddled, and maybe some extra tummy time to get him to straighten his legs.
My optimism for making it to 38 weeks has definitely dwindled. Now that 3 weeks seems like 3 months I am now just going day to day - and if I make it through another day then all is good!
I managed to finish putting everything away in the nursery, clothes washed, sheets on. And we went and bought bottles, nipples, milk storage bags, and breast pads. Another thing done - yippee! I just need nursing bras and I still have to pack. spadoinkle -
Thursday, 7 August oh goodness crutches?? only 2 weeks to go!! twinstwice -
Wednesday, 6 August So with each passing day it is getting harder and harder to believe that I will make it to 38 weeks - I totally understand!!! I am not sure how I am going to cope either. Today I took the girls to the park (my twin playgroup met there today) and I figured my days of driving are numbered - just not comfortable behind the wheel anymore either. Oh I don't want to be housebound!!!!! Oh and don't think that I am a saint - remember I have family living with me these days helping out with everything!
It is fun to start seeing other ladies have there babes - we can live vicariously through them until it is our turn! But 3 weeks does seem like 3 months right now. Arghhhhhh! thaynes54 -
Wednesday, 6 August Thank you! twinstwice -
Tuesday, 5 August It's like we all need a cheering section to keep us going to keep these babes in as long as possible! It is getting harder day by day to get around - the weight is starting to take its toll on my body.
My pelvic bone has been sore off and on for the past 3-4 months - I had an old injury there from all the sports I played a few years back so I think it is just that acting up and not me going into labour. Are the sides of your hips sore? I was like a fish out of water in bed last night flipping from right to left but was lucky enough not to have to get out of bed!
Good luck with your appt tomorrow - looking forward to hearing how everything is progressing!!!! It is getting all so real with all the preparations isn't it? buninoven -
Tuesday, 5 August Yayyy! This has been a great ride so far! Other than them being early, it has been better than I thought. Pain meds are great and no sore you know what. I am pretty much on pain meds you would have for a tooth removal. Not bad at all. People make it sound way worse. Sure its sore but no more than anything else. They are so fun. We are just enjoying this time! More later, kinda loopy from the meds! My boobs still don't work yet but I am trying to pump to get them going. Take care! twinstwice -
Tuesday, 5 August Sorry about the back pain - it makes life so uncomfortable! I am afraid that the best solution at this point is childbirth!!! My back hasn't been too bad - but my pelvic bone in front is really sore.
Glad you had a better sleep. I had a good one last night but ended up being even more tired today and had to lay down when the girls had their nap! I slept for over an hour! And then totally unmotivated again but I finally got going and my SIL and I cleaned the nursery and I did a few loads of laundry - now I just need to put everything away and organize it. I also set up the bassinet/ playpen in our room.
I was surprised to hear that that lady's water broke and the docs are still hoping to wait a week - I thought they had to come out within a few days because of the risk of infection? Maybe not. Well good luck to her - isn't crazy how everyone is finishing up? I still think you will go before me (maybe because of the time change - LOL) twinstwice -
Monday, 4 August You for sure are going to have these babes before me! Especially if you keep hanging out with your mom like that! Maybe she will get to meet them before she leaves! Mine are still moving lots though not like before with all the flips and such but enough to make me feel bruised under my ribs.
Then again- I have been nesting like crazy the past two days - and I usually don't do any housework on Sundays but I just couldn't stop. I didn't pack my bag but I did buy my pads, some preemie and newborn diapers, nursing PJ's, and some little gifts for my girls (presents from the newborns for when the girls come to visit them in the hospital).
I realize that I need nursing bras too - I hope I remember to buy those this week. I am not sure what else I need? I will have to find the list the nurses give out and take a look.
Hope you have a good sleep tonight - are they still making you get up every hour?
