I think it is interesting how different countries induce it different weeks - you are 37 weeks, ladies in the USA seem to be at 36 weeks, and we are 38! We could still end up having our babes at the same time anyways!

No worries about TTTS - it is when they share a placenta, not when they are separate like ours.

I have been doing ok for the most part but I am still usually napping in the afternoon - we are probably getting the same amount of sleep!

We aren't going to get a quad stroller yet. I want to see if I will actually need one or not - I don't think that I will be heading out on my own with four kids in the winter so we will wait to see if the girls need much of a stroller next spring and then decide if we need a quad. Otherwise we will just push two strollers around for now! We will still be a scene.

Im in the USA

i've only lost a bit of it and i read that it replaces itself if you only lose the outer bit so phew! i see you are having twins! are you going for a natural birth or a c section? have you had twice the sickness/tiredness? x

I too am all belly and boobs - and I am sure that I have lost muscle mass in my legs since I was so active before and now I can't do much of anything.

My doc appt went well, she says that she won't have to check my cervix to check for premature labour any more. I have another US in two weeks though to check the babes growth.

I would like to nest - now that my MIL is here I am trying to do one extra thing a day (freezing fruit today) and pick away at the things that need to get done. It is so nice to be able to run out and complete and errand without having to haul the girls along.

So my doc said that if I haven't gone into labour on my own then I would get induced in my 38th week sometime - that would put me at Aug 28 or so! When is your date again?

the mucus plug is a rubbery 'bung' that stops infection from getting to the baby.the plug comes away before labour but you can lose it up to a month before labour starts.if its blood stained or pink its a good sign labour is on the way but mine isnt, its a cloudy erm...clear and sorry for this but almost snotty looking almost solid or stringy lump bleaugh! anyhoo i rang the midwife and she tells me its because its my 6th baby and that i may have dilated a little bit as my plug has no blood in it i have nothing to worry about.i didnt notice my plug with all my pregnancies, just 3 of them. you are not missing out by not noticing it,its not pretty lol

I stayed home from work today, feeling Blahhh.

Is there an another option with the iron that won't make you sick? The food version like green leafys and extra meat instead of pills?

The renovation is plugging along the first round of concrete is here and hubbs can put up walls in one week so progress is good! Once the walls are up it is supposed to go pretty fast! Yayyy!

How is the house process going for you??? I saw the moving boxes in the back ground of your super cute pram!!! That is wonderful!!!

I can't believe you have 60 days to go!! Probably not even that!!! So exciting!!
I have another Dr appt tomarrow. Nothing fun just measureing. I go every 2 weeks now, do you too?

Have a great day! Take care!! :)

twinstwice - Tuesday, 15 July
My scan was great - everything is fine, I posted on the 28-32 weeks.

I looked at your belly pics - I have to say you look really good - I wouldn't say you are carrying twins at all - but I am sure you feel like you are!!! I think I am bigger than you!

I have been feeling pretty good for the most part. I have even had the energy to do a few more things around the house! I hope that continues since I would like a bit more done before these babes come! Hopefully my doc appt tomorrow goes fine too.

had a boy and a girl. he weighed 3lb 10oz and she weighed 3lb 12oz. both doing well. harry getting home tonight and isla will follow in a couple of days. had them at 32w 6d, 7 weeks early but both doing great. 2 stitches and natural birth. i had some morphine and steriod injections for their lungs to make sure they were fully developed before they came out. then had an epidural. didnt want a section and now im glad i didnt as it would have been a nightmare trying to get up and visit them in hosp everyday if id had one. and only 2 stitches. im feeling pretty good too! hope u are well x

I am so sorry that you aren't feeling well. I hope you can work out those iron pills to prevent a transfusion but still are able to feel ok! I have been feeling pretty good, just having a hard time eating enough. I have a scan tomorrow and a doc appt on Tuesday so I will see how much the babes have gained and if I have gained any weight (I don't think I have gained much at all the past three weeks). I hope too that I can find out the sex but oh well if we don't. I have been given boys and girls clothes so I am prepared.

kristam - Sunday, 13 July
Yeah I have dropped, and she was already engaged when I went in for preterm labor four days ago. My cervix was thinning, and my outter cervix was dialated. But I was still closed, but extremely soft... I read a thing today about pre labor vomiting, and I think I am going to call my mid wife... I am trying to hang in there.

m0mmyt0b3 - Sunday, 13 July

gonzomom6 - Sunday, 13 July
Well we made it... Glad to have the boys here and healthy... You can read about the delivery on my page under the twins profiles.. It was an easy C-section and the recovery is going along great... Sleep what is SLEEP... trying to adjust to having to do everything twice....

SUE12333 - Sunday, 13 July

BUNINOVEN - Saturday, 12 July
Hi! My computer is being dumb! I hate that! Thanks for sending me that site on baby weights that was interesting. Its nice to be normal, at least in once sense in all of this! I seriously have the pregnant waddle walk. I think I am still measuring at 37 weeks. I only gained half a pond last time but the babies gained 3pounds. Pretty amazing how this all works! Have a great weekend!!!! :)

m0mmyt0b3 - Saturday, 12 July
Hey charlottle, what are you expecting ?

hopeful2008 - Saturday, 12 July
Hiya,
yeah i still feel sick too, but like you not so bad, i dont know about you but on the tablets, you know that metal taste of iron, well after taking the tabs, i kept getting that taste repeating on me and it was DREADFUL. i think that more than anything added to the nausea and sickness, but with the spatone, ok so it tastes crap ( a little less crap the more juice you put it with ahahahaha ) but onnce youve taken it and i dont know had a biscuit or something to quickly take the taste away thats it, no more metally taste, and for me thats the great thing about it.
I have to take 2 sachests a day (as recommended by the GP) but in comparrison to the tablets its a small sacrifice, plus i love OJ anyway so its not only helping with the iron absorption its keeping my fluids up too - as a nurse im rubbish at that, always telling my patients to drink drink drink and never manage much myself! They do say we make to worst patients!!! i think its true lol.

How come you 'bought' the spatone anyway, wouldnt your GP or midwife do it on prescription for you??? I'd ask if i were you, save your pennies!

Anyway, keep me posted on how your doing, take care and im glad ive helped you
Chat again soon honey xxxx

paulecita - Friday, 11 July
Hi! I was feeling sick when I started taking my iron pills, I've been taking them for over a month, and now I feel better. They don't make me sick anymore. Maybe there's another brand that's better for you.
