If its the beginning of October you should be good. I used to want my shower earlier but decided on about a month before my due date. It is normal to have them a month before. Mine are coming up and I am big but am comfortable enough to handle a party! I would not have been prepared a month or 2 ago to know what I want and have the nursery ready. Plus the people coming love to see a BIG belly!

I chose to have my showers sooner rather than later. That way you can assess what you have and get at the showers with enough time left to get the remaining items you may need.

October would be better--cooler, leaves you plenty of time to decide on what you want as gifts, and still have a month to get what you don't get at the shower. September would be even better, though. August is too soon.

I vote for August. Simply because you can evaluate what you will still need after the shower & have time to get it without feeling so rushed. Plus it's not fun to shop with swolen feet & ankles at 9 months.

I'd say August. I'm 36 wks and just had my baby shower on Sunday. Now I'm stressing because I have to get this and that before my lil' lady decides to come. Give yourself as much time as possible... This way you won't be running around (or wobbling around should I say) trying to find this and that. Trust me it's frusturating.. Good luck :)

I would do with the August .. I would not want to chance waiting and not making it .. I hope you have a good support team to help you get the big stuff assembled when you get it even by august you might not feel the strngth to do it yourself.. I am only having a single baby and i put mine together at 6months just in case

You should def have it in Aug! Oct your gunna be ready to give birth and i kno that i wouldnt wanna be swollen , huge belly and tired having a baby shower!

why not in between like september so you dont have to do it in the months of your birthdays unless thats what you wanted but either way as long as you get family and friends together just have a great time n enjoy

I would do it in august personally. Pregnancy comes right a long with nesting. So if you have the shower earlier you will have more time to play around with the nursery, and make sure that you have everything that you could possibly need. Another little tip... You may want to tell a few people to buy size one diapers instead of newborn diapers. Me and all of my pregnant friends from my last pregnancy got TONS of newborn diapers that ended up going to waste because our kiddos didn't stay in them long. I'm sure you already figured that out, but just in case... those diapers are expensive!

my due date was may 18th, im 4 days overdue now but i had my baby shower well i had two of them one in march and one in april. i had mine later because i had all the furniture already bought, i just needed small everyday things so i waited lol.

Did you try to take the prenatal vitamins at bedtime? My Dr. said that they are much better tolerated and make you alot less sick if you do it that way... Just a thought. :-)
