Hi there,

Yip it is amazing how silly people can be! They really dont take the time to think about what they are saying or doing and how it affects other people... specially pregnant ones that really need all the support they can get! People dont realise how much of a change it is and how much you as a woman / soon-to-be-mom have to go through to get to the end (of your pregnancy that is which is really only the begining of the journey!)....

Its funny you know I find my male friends more interested (well as interested as they could be) and protective than my female friends... odd hey!

the leg cramps and pain are always in the calf...and it's a horrible, tightening, stiff, sharp pain in the muscle--you would know with out question if you were having a leg cramp!! It's horrible!! It sounds like you're having a muscle spasm...not really painful-just annoying and involuntary movement of the muscle and nerves...

lol Thanks you a mess! yeah he is kind of big I think its all head though cause his daddy got a huge dome lol. But either October or November Im going to be ready to rock and roll lock and load... Im now ready to start shopping and I would love to start his room but Im getting ready to get my house done over so I cant do anything kind of mad about that but it can wait. As soon as I told my family what I was having they were all out shopping. Im like dont forget mommy needs too lol.

Sure, I am 39 so mine may be a little different from yours but here's how mine went!! First I had genetic councelsing..she just asked a bunch of questions about family history of downs etc. That took about 20 minutes. Then I had the ultrasound...same as any other it just took longer and got to see the baby for about 45 minutes. They look at the heart to make sure all the chambers are there and working properly, they check the brain and look for downs. He did a real good job of explaining it all as he went a long and he was telling me as it went that everything looked good. Then he showed all the pics to the Dr and talked to her then she came in and told me everything looked great and answered any questions. Like I said yours may not last as long because you are younger but basically it's just a longer ultrasound where they take a lot of measurements to make sure everything is forming right and that the baby measures to match your due date. So, in other words...you get to see the baby for a longer time and the quality of the ultrasound is a little bit better than in my Dr.'s office. I had to go to a specialist because of my age. my Dr said they would do it at her office if under 35. Hope this helps and good luck...let me know how it all goes!

Thanks! I was just super hormonal & weepy yesterday. Normally my family doesn't get to me this much. I just had to vent. This site is great for that. 20 weeks is pretty exciting! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was only that far along. Time just seems to have ground to a complete stop in this last week. I hope that you are well, & you can keep up the optimism!

I got today YAYYYYY!!!!!! Im so happy. I will let you know exactly what they do the tech told me that its just an hour long U/S they just do measurements I guess so pray that all is well for me and I find out Im having a healthy one.

It did hurt but thank god it went really fast. I was only able to have the gas. It worked for a bit until I realized how much pain I was in, then I would calm down for a bit then I would freak out again! But after you hold your little one in your arms that pain mysteriously goes away!

Im going thru that same thing I know in the pic you can tell but when you see my in person its not noticeable. Although for the first time someone I didnt know asked me if I were pregnant and i had mixed feelings about it like EXCUSE ME! do i look fat or something LOL but then again I was happy like wow again another reality check for me because im in denial with this.

Just a suggestion for the headache....try witch hazel. I know it sounds hokey...but one of the girls on here suggested it to me because I am getting severe frequent headaches and so I tried it and honestly I have only had 1 of many that it hasn't at least relieved....even my REALLY skeptical husband tried it last week and admitted it worked for him too!!! You can usually get it at the pharmacy right by the rubbing alcohol...put it on a cotton ball and rub it up and down the sides of your spine and neck....just a thought....hope you feel better soon :)
