When I couldn't find the heart beat I would find it about 1 1/2 to 2 inches below my bellow button in the middle and I have to press hard at times................

hi ya sweet - i had the same trouble - it may sound silly but put penty of get on bellow your belly on vigina and hold the doppler central to your belly button hard - thats how i found mine x x good luck x x

Hi Cheyenne,

I find that putting lot of the gel on the actual doppler hels and pressing it a bit hard on ure belly helps with hearing it clearely - it takes a lot of patients, but once u find it - concentate around the same spot for week or so..u'll find it everyday..

as for the safety, i read that u shouldnt use it for more thn 10 minutes, if you cant find t in 10min - take a break and try again after 10min or so..and u apperently shouldnt use it more than 3 times a day...

hope this helps

... i recorded my baby's heart beat onto my hubby's laptop lastnight....its magical..

Hi Cheyenne...in the beginning it was hit or miss. I didn't actually start finding it regularly until about 13 or so weeks. I now find it every day, though it can take a few seconds to find since the baby is moving around a lot.

Hey there...I know it's not easy saying don't worry because I'm right there with you, however try not to. I bought an at home doppler really early on becuase I just miscarried in Feb and my doctor wasn't giving me the answers I needed and I felt having one would ease my mind. I have a tiltled uterus and some days I can pick up the heartbeat great and others I can..I think the baby moves around a lot.
I got a really good nights rest last night for the first time in MONTHS and woke up thinking something was wrong so I had to find it first thing this am. Then I wanted to hear it again before I go to bed...lol..I just love picking up that strong heartbeat it makes my heart smile, and puts me at ease as well. I don't have another scan for like 4 weeks..it feels like forever. Best wishes ..Tina

it's totally normal to hear the heartbeat easy one day, and not the other. babies move around so much at this stage and they can tuck back down low into the pelvis.

naenae - Thursday, 3 July
My doctor said that it's unusual to catch the heart beating this early because they move around so much.

I am 9 weeks with baby number 4, it is very common to go through a phase of not feeling pregnant or a loss of symptoms, It happened with all of mine, and I am just now starting to feel preggers with this one, enjoy it because it will be short lived!

Eryn20 - Friday, 20 June
Hi, thanks for replying to my post. I saw my doctor today and he booked me in for an ultrasound to ease my mind and my bub is perfectly healthy. So im sure your baby is fine too, talk to your doctor if you're really worried about your symptom loss im sure they will help you allay your fears.

AshleyBeth - Thursday, 19 June
I saw your post... I too am worried about m/c. My mom had two before having us girls and my older sister has already had two. I'm just trying to stay calm and think positive. Good luck to you!

zoe - Wednesday, 18 June
Hey i seen your post,
I had a m/c in march and fell pregnant the month after, all i can say is take it easy and dont worry about it too much stressing yourself out isint going to help, m/c are horrible things there isint very much that can be done about it and no one knows the definate cause of them. I just take each day as it comes ive not told family and friends yet im going to tell when i enter week 9 as i lost the last baby around 7 1/2 - 8 weeks
But dont worry too much about it i hope your have a great pregnancy and just enjoy it and im sure everything will be fine.

I hear ya!! I am 19 weeks and I feel the same way the more I read the more i see about miscarraiges, I was freaked out until I hit 12 weeks. And now all I notice is people having late miscarriages or having stillbnorn babies. I am constantly a nervous wreck. My husband keeps telling me to stop reading everything. I read the same thing you did about the statistics. I was even told theat once a heartbeat is detected yur risk of M/C is down to 3 %. but who the hell knows!! I am still as nervous now as i was at 5-12 weeks. I was told it never stops!! Good luck with your pregnancy!

Vivian01 - Tuesday, 17 June
i hear you about worrying about miscarriage. i try not to think about it so i don't get stressed but sometimes it is really hard not to..i know what your going through.

my brother in law lost one at 32 weeks. Just do what i am doing and focus on taking good care of yourself, eating right, and getting some exercise by walking ever so often, and don't stress they say that's the worse thing to do..though i know it is easier said then done...

i'm right there with you!!!!!!hope your doing well
