Hi. I was able to breastfeed after having a c-section. It was 12 yrs ago, so I dont exactly remember HOW LONG I was sore... I want to say about 6-8 weeks. But, this time, I plan on staying ahead of the pain and taking the pain medication as soon as I can. After awhile, it will only hurt when you do certain things like SNEEZE hard, or trying to get out of bed. You will realize how often you truly use your stomach muscles... I am also having a c-section this time, so GOOD LUCK!!! It will be FINE :D It couldnt have been too bad if I dont remember that much about it

I breastfed my baby right after my c-section. There is no reason why you can't. You will be sore regardless if you delivry vaginally or via c-section. If I went to term they thought my baby would have been 12 lbs. He was born two days ago at 9 lbs. 7 oz. vaginally.

Wow! he is big. My little one is not so little either. He is 7 1/2 pounds and that was last week. Dod the ultrasound show the measurements and weight? I found out last week how big he is. I go back on the 13th to see how dialated I am. They didn't mention c-section, but I am taking it day by day.

Well, that explains why he was so quiet through most of pregnancy...he was busy growing like a weed! lol
Hope you got good warning and weren't anticipating the 3rd up till last minute..that would be torture.
One week left!! All ready?

We have no idea how big Logan is. Hubby and I are guessing 8 lbs, so we'll see how far off we are.

Nothing exciting going on here. Just some period like cramps and aching. My doc hasn't started checking for dilation yet either. My husband is getting really frustrated really fast with the 'any time now'. Think he panics every time his cell rings at work. lol

I am glad to hear you are doing well. Over 8 pounds already that is going to be a good sixe baby. My first son was 10.2 oz at birth and also had to have the c-section the first two days are the worse really after that your just really sore and cant lift or stand straight. Just keep your pain meds close by LOL. My c-section is set for the 24th as of now I have a ultrasound on Tuesday the 7th so we will see if he changes it. Keep me posted on how everything goes and I wish you and baby luck on the 11th!!!

both c-sections had no trouble feeding afterwards. Started in the recovery room on the second c-section. Just feed frequently and they will bring the milk in if it is being a little slow. Everytime they suck it will stimulate the milk so it is never too often to put them back on for a feed until they are getting a full feed.

I'm having little spurts of fear over labor now. I'm sure knowing when exactly its going to happen, like you do, would make me ball of fear this whole week! lol
Can't wait to see your baby pictures!!

Logan was on a regular schedule for a over a week. I would know exactly when he was going to start moving, but now he's back to his old ways. He'll be all crazy one day and nothing the next. I don't know why, but now I get all worried when I'm not feeling him for a long time...like tonight.

The beginning and the end of pregnancy sure are scary!! I really appreciate that 2nd trimester more now! lol.
