I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

Hi. I'm also from Melbourne. If you are having the basic glucose test, it is fine to eat breakfast before hand. But if you are having the 3 hour test, then you have to fast. I learned this the hard way! My first two pregnancies were just the basic test, so I ate that morning. But with my third pregnancy, as my Mum had been diagnosed with Diabetes, I had to have the 3 hour test. I ate before hand, thinking that I could, as I had with the others. The reading came back that I had a problem, until we realised that I was meant to fast, but hadn't (and nobody had told me or checked with me!). Anyway, it was a HUGE pain, cos then I had to do the whole 3 hour test again!!!

Hi there, thanks and congratulations to you too! I kind of had a gut feeling form the start that it was a girl but towards the end, had convinced myslef that it was a boy as my partner wanted a boy so i was quite shocked but i'm really pleased. Did they tell you the weight and length of the baby? They didn't with us, just commented on how long her legs were lol. Everything looked fine from the scan so that was a relief, i worry over everything. Take care xx

Same here, my partner would like a boy, but i'm not fussed as long as (s)he is healthy and happy. Been feeling the baby move for the past few weeks but now my partner can feel them if he puts his hand on my tummy. Let me know how the scan goes fri and the sex if you find out and i will do the same. Take care x

Hey!!! I'm Gabrielle 23, also! I just wanted to say our babies are due on the same date! Have you found out the baby's sex yet??? Mine had it's legs crossed... = ( Hopefully next time, my dr. scheduled me another US... so I can't wait! Anyhow, congrats. on your first baby!! It flies by quicker than you think, my boys are 5 & 7 now, this is my third! ; D

Hey girl, just came accross your comment, i too was an eager 16 weeker, and read about all the ladies feeling their baby move and i very very faint flutters, until maybe this past week. i have an anterior placenta, on the front side) and was told it may take longer to feel baby, and it did. so be patient, it will come :)
