Hi everyone, My name is Christine. I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful, smart girls. I had a vip page at i-am-pregnant.com my last pregnancy I had my baby in September all natural VBAC, I'm very proud of and this is my first time breastfeeding, anybody out there go past a year? My last pregnany I got into everything natural and eating healthy it was the best thing I ever done besides quitting smoking. I had a healthy pregnancy after I was told I was infertile due to numorous large fibriods and if I did get pregnant would miscarry or deliver early. Well I had her a week after my due date and it was painful but very fast. Thank god! I started feeling contractions at 10pm they slowely got worse but wasn't in much pain until about 6am was going to have a homebirth but midwife couldn't make it so arrived at hospital at 6:30am was 6cm right after that the pain got real bad but we had to wait for the doc. to arrive. The doc. ordered a c-section at 7:00am but it took 40m. to prep. I told them I can do it but I had to sign a c-section consent form. I started to cry. I was in alot of pain the nurse said my water bag was bulging so he popped it at 7:15am after that the contractions came faster and faster and the pain got worse and worse. I was screaming! I started to feel more pressure and the contractions were on top of the other, nonstop at 7:30. Doc. said I was an 8 and if I felt pressure than to push. I pushed only five minutes, she crowned and flew out at 7:35am. I had her all natural, no drugs after a c-section. I'm very proud. Anybody can do it if they believe in their body. Her sex was a surprise, a boy would have been Nathaniel Theodore, of course another girl! I was vegetarian half my pregnancy everybody thought she would be small but she weighed 8lbs. 2oz. 20 1/2in. long, perfect! but not my biggest. Well I named her Haili Christine, she is my first baby that is doing great with breastfeeding and she is also the happiest. She has been smiling all the time since 6 weeks.

Since everybody is curious about birth stories here are my three daughters short birth stories.

My first I had gestational diabetes and a vaginal delivery with epidural and an epsiotomy, total labor was 10 hours, pushed for 48m. She weighed 7lbs. 12oz. 20 in. long. Had her 9 days before her EDD.Cute-Spot.com - Myspace Generators and Glitter Graphics!

My second was breech and big, I got a spinal and it made me shake real bad and a c-section 2 weeks before her EDD. She weighed 9lbs. 2 1/2 oz. 20 1/2 in. long. Had her at 38wks.Cute-Spot.com - Myspace Generators and Glitter Graphics!

My third a fast VBAC, total labor was 9.5 hrs ( feeling the faintest contractions) hard labor 30m. pushed 5min. 2 small rips. She weighed 8lbs. 2oz. 20 1/2 in. long. Had her at 41wks.Cute-Spot.com - Myspace Generators and Glitter Graphics!

Advise- Drink red raspberry leaf tea and take a fish oil.

02/16/08- Haili is 5 months she smiles, screams, laughs, rolls over, grabs her toes and everything, sits with assistance, blows raspberries and loves jumping in her jumperoo. She also likes to touch/hit my face and laugh.

IN MY DAUGHTER'S EYES - Lyrics by: Martina Mcbride

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daugter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

03/14/08- Haili turned six months old yesterday. She smiles all the time and is very alert. She screams, babbles, laughs and blows lots of raspberries. She rolls over and is almost sitting by herself. She loves to scoot on her back, she's fast. When she sits herself she usually ends up on her tummy. She loves to jump, mostly in her jumperoo. She likes new toys and likes to put everything in her mouth. She loves to watch/play and laugh at her big sisters. She nurses about every hour and a half and sleeps all night but I do wake up about twice to feed her which is not a big deal because we co-sleep. She weighs 16lbs. and is 27 in. long

03/25/07-Haili wants to be held all the time, she loves her moby wrap. She has to be in a deep sleep to lay down by herself and usually wakes up in 30m. It makes it hard to get things done. I think it's because I'm still nursing. She babbles alot but has not said mama or dada yet. She is getting better sitting by herself with no support but still falls on her belly. She rolls over alot, loves peek-a-boo and grabbing my nose and laughing. She's developing a longer attention span. She loves to jump and stand. She explores everything by putting it in her mouth and hitting it. She loves to gurgle. Her Cute-Spot.com - Myspace Generators and Glitter Graphics!bottom left just popped up on March 22nd, it's impossible to get a picture, she dont want to open her mouth or the pic turns out blinding white. She had some homemade ground up organic oatmeal on the 24th. She liked the first two bites than spit and pushed it away after that. She's just supposed to start with a 1/4 tsp. anyway so I think she did good.

Haili loves her Moby wrap, we cant go anywhere without it.

03/30/08-I think Haili has finally mastered sitting up by herself!

Haili had one big spoonful of homemade basmati rice cereal, than pushed it away, on March 30.

04/04/08- Haili had some organic applesauce yesterday the 3rd. She had a funny look the first bite than she pulled it towards her and loved it and wanted more, she had 4-5 small bites than refused it but I think she did very good. It was the 1st time she grabbed the spoon and wanted more.foodblink9.gif

Haili woke up with a red color on her right cheek on th 4th, I thought it was just rubbed on something, like her highchair than on the 5th I noticed it was swollen. She got an allergic reaction (hives) from somthing either the applesauce, which she loves and is not likely to be an allergic food so I think it was a chocolate wrapper she got a hold of on the evening of the 3rd. I grabbed it from her quickley but it was already in her mouth and it had alot of chocolate crumbles. The swelling went away in one day but it's still red. We'll stay away from applesauce for awhile just in case. I think we'll try sweet potato or squash in a week.

Also I noticed last night, April 5th that Haili got herCute-Spot.com - Myspace Generators and Glitter Graphics! (bottom right),it just broke threw her gum the left one is twice as tall, it has grown alot already.

04/08/08-Haili had banannas today it was her 2nd time the first time she did not like.Well today she loved them, she ate 1/2 small bananna! She grabbed the spoon and screamed for more.

04/12/08- This afternoon Haili had fresh, steamed sweet potatoes for the 1st time, she LOVES them!!! She ate about 2 Tbsp.

So far Haili loves: Bananas, apples, and sweet potato! She does not care for rice cereal and oatmeal cereal.

Oh, Now I Get It!

I remember seeing a kid in the grocery store with dirt and old food on his face, wearing a filthy T-shirt, barefoot and eating a two-pound candy bar. I couldn't imagine why his mother had brought him to the store looking that way and why she would give him a candy bar at 10 in the morning. That was before I had four kids. Now I know why.

His face was dirty because he was going through a phase in which having his face wiped seemed worse to him than getting beaten. She chose not to do either. His T-shirt was filthy because it was his favorite one. He wore it every day and every night. Just as they were walking out the door to go to the store, he had pulled it out of the clothes hamper and surprised her with it at the front door. By then she didn't dare risk interrupting the momentum she'd built toward the car by going back into the house to get a clean one. He had shoes on when they left for the store, but he took them of in the car and threw one out the window on the freeway. She was relieved it was the left shoe, since he'd thrown a right one out the window the week before. He was eating a big candy bar because she had promised him he could pick out his own treat at the store if he didn't throw the cat into the pool for a whole week. She was desperate because it was the neighbor's cat and couldn't swim.

I used to think that my children would eat only fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and free-range chicken. Now I look forward to our semiweekly luncheon at McDonald's. I have acquired a genuine love for secret sauce, and relish the fact that my kids can't do anything wrong there. This includes drenching their french fries in ketchup, then spitting their cola out on top of the fries, molding the whole mess into a big ball, then throwing it at one another.

Before, when I would see a woman wheeling a kid around in a dirty stroller, I'd ask myself, "Why did she give birth to that child if she didn't plan to keep the stroller clean?" The other week at my annual stroller washing party, I found ground cover growing in the storage compartment of one of mine.

When I would see children throwing fits in public, I would wonder why the parents didn't just tie the kids' arms and legs together and put them in the trunk of the car until they had finished shopping. Now I know it's because they left the rope at home.

When several children were screaming in an airplane, I'd wonder why there wasn't a separate airplane, and a separate planet, for kids. I know now that their parents wish the same thing and that they had to take the kids to attend the family reunion at Aunt Lois' so they could see Uncle George before he kicked the bucket.

The kids were crying because their parents wouldn't let them eat the headset, stick their fingers in the ear of the lady in front of them, or press the attendant call button for the 100th time. The parents were preoccupied with trying to decide where to change the really smelly diaper. Should they change it on the seat next to the couple on their honeymoon, or on the floor in the back where five perky flight attendants were playing bumper cars with those one-ton food carts? Forget the bathroom. They were designed to hold one person with short legs. The parents feared that the smell would cause a panicky passenger to pull open the emergency exit in order to trigger the release of the oxygen masks, and they'd all be sucked out of the airplane.

Now when I see a little girl wearing cowboy boots on the wrong feet, a pink bathing suit on backward and Army helmet, I think "She IS absolutely sure that her shoes are on the right feet, and she likes the way the helmet looks with the swimsuit. And, no, she doesn't want to wear a jacket because 'she likes to be cold'. She is happy."

Haili has her own website at:http://babababies.com/view/viewt2.cfm?SITEID=53558

next month, we'll be in our new house! We have been here for 5 1/2 years!

Haili had avocado for the first time on April 22nd. She liked it better than I thought, she had 4-5 bites than she couldn't stand anymore. I think she did very good.

04/24/07- Haili had some organic steamed carrots this evening, not one frown. She likes them more than I thought. She had five large bites, she loves them!

.04/25/08- Haili now enjoys her homemade basmati rice cereal, which is great!

Our camera is a brand new Canon and I turned it on and off 3-4 times in a row and it says lens error and turns off, so I guess I broke my camera. I wont have any recent pics until I get a new one.

Haili's disliked foods are oatmeal cereal and zucchini. She loves rice cereal, bananas, apples, sweet potatoes, carrots and her mum-mums ( natural teething rice husks) they have a website also. She likes avocado but it's definetely not one of her favorites, she'll eat 4-5 bites than she'll start making disgusted noises and push it away.

04/29/08- Haili'sCute-Spot.com - Myspace Generators and Glitter Graphics! just broke threw, her top right. Her two bottom teeth are now the same size, they're about half grown. They come in so fast, one after the other!

Mothers Day

kirilee - Thursday, 8 May
Hi Christine, im good as, how about you, how are you doing keeping up with 3 little ones now? Im coping a hell of alot better than i was when we last messaged each other. Im not feeling so stressed out & depressed & i am now starting to really enjoy having three little ones. Catelyn has been crawling for a week now, she started crawling the day before she turned 8 months, on the 1st of May...i am so proud. No teeth yet, but i can see them through her gums, so wont be long now...as she has been dribbling like mad with red cheeks and very grizzly at times, & the last two nights she has been hard to settle durring the night, so i hope her teeth come through shortly, she will look so cute with them. But she sleeps quite well most of the time & i can usually get her back to sleep easy with a milk feed thank god. So she is still my best baby with the whole sleeping thing. The boys were terrible & i barely got any sleep with them as they would wake up every 30 mins, grrrr, lol, so i thank god she is not anywhere near as bad as they were. She is now on solids three times a day and loves it. I didnt start her on solids until 6 months...but she is good with chewing, even though she has no teeth, so i have had no trouble feeding her lumpy foods now. Any way take care and i hope Haili settles back into a better sleeping routine for ya.I still get woken up by my boys 2-3 times a night, thats more than Catelyn wakes me up. Exausting isnt it,lol.Oh well Take care :D

So Hailey's got some teeth! How fun! Has she had any trouble with nursing while getting used to having her teeth? It sure sounds like she's doing well with her food. Are you following a book with her diet? I've been told to pick up a copy of Super Baby Food by my sister-in-law. I guess it's supposed to tell you when and how much food you should introduce at a time. Thank God for books because I'd be lost without them! So how are you and the girls doing this week?

Rebekahs-mama - Thursday, 24 April
Hi! How's your week been? Good I hope. And how are all the girls? Are you keeping sane! lol! Things have been very quiet and uneventful around here, which is fine with me. Bekah has started rolling over in her crib at night which makes me nervous, but what can you do? Not much I suppose. Oh, and when did you start feeding Haili solid foods? Bekah's about to turn 4 months and I've heard of people starting that early, but I think I may wait a couple more months. What do you think?
