Thursday, 11 September I have to say, adjusting to the 4th has been easier for me than the 3rd. I went from having 3 children (1 older, 1 todder, and 1 baby) to sticking the 2 middle children into the 'toddler' group. I call it that just for schedule purposes sake. They eat and sleep at the same time. And they entertain each other, which is wonderful. I suppose in another year, I'll have to move my daugher up to the 'school child' schedule, and then move the baby to the 'toddler' schedule and I'll have the two 'toddler' boys at home with me, and the two oldest in school. Anyway, it worked well for me last year when I was keeping another child that was the same age as my 2 1/2 year old daughter. It seems like things get easier once the baby gets older. At this age they sleep and eat at different times every day, and sometimes it hard to fit that around what you have to do for the older children. Utopianite -
Wednesday, 10 September He's doing well. Saxon doesn't seem very big to me. He's definately smaller than my last boy. I don't think he's gained very much weight this month. He was still around 14 lbs the last time I checked, but he's long. In fact, he's outgrown a lot of this 3-6 mth outfits because they're not long enough in the torso. Personally, I'm a big fan of the really chubby babies with rolls everywhere. He just doesn't have the appetite that the others did. I think he's only taking about 28 oz a day, if that. I'm not sure of the exact amount because I'm still breastfeeding him a few times a day, just not making enough for him to keep him full. I'll ask the doctor about it when he goes in for his 4 mth checkup in 2 weeks. I guess that's about it. Things are a little crazy around here sometimes. It takes 6 hours just to get ready to go to the grocery store with the kids, buy the weeks worth of groceries, head back home, get the kids and groceries unpacked, and the put everything away. Makes me tired just thinking about it... erica93 -
Thursday, 28 August Hello everyone...just wanted to update you all on Isabella. She is now three months old and has her first cold! Sneezing, stuffy nose, and coughing. Mom has the cold, too. Probably from lack of sleep! She wanted to eat every hour yesterday evening and last night. Maybe she is going through a growth spurt! She weighed 12 lbs today at the doctor. How are you all doing? shannon74 -
