Welcome!!!

My name is Nicole and I am a happily married girl (three years this October), who is currently PREGNANT with my first baby! I couldn't be MORE excited! My husband and I found out last Thursday, July 10, 2008. We started trying last summer, and than gave it a rest for a bit. We decided three months ago to try again, and I got my BFP last week! What exciting and fun news! I am a teacher, and my amazing husband, Mark is a police officer. We are both very excited to finally be having out first child.

July 10, 2008: My period was five days late, and I still didn't want to test because I felt all of the typical "PMS" symptoms. However, my husband and I decided to test...and guess what? BIG FAT POSITIVE! We are both thrilled and nervous--all at once. What an exciting day!

July 20, 2008: SIX WEEKS PREGNANT! Who-hoo! I am SO SO SO excited! My first Doctor's appointment is this week Wednesday. I am excited and also VERY nervous. I have been feeling tired, slightly nauseated and VERY constipated (I know "TMI"..but I am really starting to get worried over this)! I cannot wait to sit down with my Doctor and talk about what IS and ISN'T normal--so I can relax a bit.

July 28th 2008: I have been to two doctor visits already and I am really happy to report that all tests have come back a-okay!!! I didn't realize how many tests are involved in this whole process--and for a worrywart like me--that is rough. Tomorrow is my first ultrasound! I will keep everyone posted!!!!

July 30th 2008: First ultrasound was yesterday and everything looks GREAT! It was AMAZING to hear this TINY little peanut's heartbeat...which by the way was a healthy 159 beats per minute! It was just so cool and real! I AM THRILLED!!!!

August 23, 200: WOW! I haven't written in quite some time. I am officially eleven weeks and three days pregnant! Next Wednesday will be 12! YAY! I am really really happy about that. The morning sickness has started to subside and I am feeling quite energic these past few days. This is nice because school starts in a little over a week, so I will need the energy! It was nice to have the summer to relax. I cannot BELIEVE that in 8 weeks, we will get to find out the sex of the baby! That seems so crazy!! I just want to see that the baby is nice and healthy. Hope that everyone is doing well. Keep in touch!

September 23, 2008: Hi everyone! I am SIXTEEN WEEKS PREGNANT! I can't even believe it. Things are going well. School is keeping me busy. I am not showing much yet--but clothes are starting to feel tighter. October 20th at 9:00 is my ultrasound. My husband and I are excited to see that our little nugget is healthy and growing. We are also excited to find out the sex! Hope you are all doing great! Keep in touch!

October 11, 2008: Well ladies--I am getting SOOOO excited. About one week until my BIG U/S. My appointment had to be switched until 3:00pm..which STINKS (a whole EXTRA day to wait and wonder). I cannot WAIT to see my first true "glimpse" of my baby! I feel 110% like I am having a BOY! Of course--that is the sex of which we cannot seem to AGREE on ANY names! If anyone has any helpful suggestions--that would be GREAT. Our last name is three syllables, so I am looking for a first name with a one or two syllable sound! My favorites (that have been DENIED) have been: Mason, Luke, Alec, Jake, and Carter.

October 21, 2008: WELL..my feelings were 110% correct..it's a BOY! I'm so excited! On to the name fun. I've already spent the day shopping away! What FUN :)

Hi colie, thanks for the message. It's reassuring to know that I am not the only one with no belly and no definite movements. Hope all goes well with your u/s on monday. Mine is on the 29th and I can't wait to see baby again. We also think we will have a boy but we are going to leave it as a surprise. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on. xxx

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx
