Hi everyone!

Been trying for 2 and a half YEARS to get pg after a m/c in March 05. I'm very excited and had pretty much given up hope when this happened!! So don't give up!

My u/s is next Friday! I'm so excited I can't wait! I'm also a little nervous because I've had a bad experience before. I'll keep everyone posted! Good luck to all you ladies!

Just got back from u/s and it turns out I am almost 11 weeks!!!! I got to see my baby moving around inside me! It was amazing!!!! heartbeat at 182 bpm and a big head like his daddy!! 8 weekers, keep me posted on your progress and I hope to meet some 10 weekers like myself soon!!!

Last Friday I had the first part of my quad screen(which I opted for as opposed to amnio or CVS testing). Everything was wonderful! Baby's heartbeat was 160! They also measured the nuchal translucency and it was normal at 1.8. We will find out the sex in about a month when I go back for the second part of the test, which is a level 2 ultrasound. Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays!!!

(sigh) Well, I had the much anticipated, gender-telling u/s today and...the tech couldn't tell! Apparently my baby is just like his mommy in that when he gets woken up from a nap, he gets grumpy! He(she) stayed scrunched up the ENTIRE time!! Baby is healthy with a heart rate of 153, and everything looked normal! I'm just a little disappointed, because I set myself up for the last month worrying over whether I would not be able to wait for hubby to get home from Australia. I worried for NOTHING!! Now I have no idea how long I'll have to wait to find out!

I feel like a moron whining and bitching like I was after reading shellie77's story. She is a very stong person. I'll have to remember her next time I catch myself grumping about being uncomfortable or not knowing what the sex is! Tomorrow I have my monthly checkup so I will ask the doc if I'm going to have another u/s. I hope I will get another. I'm a planner, and I need to plan all this stuff out, that's why I need to know the sex! LOL Take care mommies!

IT'S A GIRL!!! I know I said I wanted a boy, but I don't really care now!!! LOL My doctor's office just got u/s equipment and they did another u/s for us just to tell us the gender!! The best part of all is they're not charging us for it! I'm so stoked! I can't wait to see my little girl! My daughter-gosh, it sounds so strange!!

Hi everyone! Back from vacation and back to the real world! Everything's great, Haylie's doing great, she LOVES the water! LOL I'll post some pics when I get a chance. I started nesting this weekend-cleaned out every closet in our house! My diabetes test is April 7th. Take care all you mommies!

Tomorrow is my 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see my baby girl again! I'm waiting on the results of my 3 hour glucose test crossing my fingers! I'll post pics of Haylie when I get home tomorrow. We're getting a dvd and cd of her scan, so I hope she cooperates! Everything going well, though I have a lot of the complaints I see everyone else has on here! 9 weeks will go by so fast! I'm not ready yet!!!! ;)

Well, ladies I have the dreaded GD!!! It's been a couple of weeks and I hadn't heard from the dietician yet. My doc said I could just eat like I was on South Beach diet again and that should be fine. Hubby and I were on that for 2 years, so it's pretty easy to go back to. I had one of my showers last weekend and have another tomorrow for "couples." Everyone has been very generous! Haylie's got LOTS of stuff to come home to! =)

Oh, 37 weeks!!! My goodness we're almost there! Just came from the dr. and they estimate Haylie weighs 7 lbs, 4 oz. I think they estimate me a week behind what I actually am. I have not had my GBS test yet, not until next week. Oh well, she's healthy, that's what matters. I'll be the one on here @ 43 weeks complaining while everyone's had their babies!! LOL

Woohoo! The doc said today I will not go past my due date! So if Haylie decides not to make an appearance before then, at least I know she'll be here before July! I'm getting sooo nervous and anxious to meet my daughter! I can't wait to see who she looks like more! It's the first Father's Day for my hubby and I can't wait to make it special =) Take care ladies, and lots of labor dust to you all!

OHMYG I'm SOOO mad about BL!!!!!!!!!! I'm in SHOCK that they voted Colleen off - I LOVED her! Didnt she look AMAZING @ the end??? Stupid Vicky... I really think that was a BAD move on Amy's part but whatever... GRR!

Ugh - that sucks! Yeah those child care centers (not just @ the gym!) are full of germs - yucko! Oh yaay - that's great you are giving that girl some stuff especially since they are hurting for $! Hand me downs are a wonderful thing!!! Oh great - so Vicky is still around?? Crap... I'm halfway thru BL right now and ran upstairs to send my hubby an email. I better get back to the show...

I know - I feel the same way! Just when you get the hang of them, they change on you! Tyler was on the best schedule - until last sunday! He refuses to nap during the day now unless he's in his swing, going for a walk, in his carseat, or if I'm holding him. Used to be, we'd plop him into his crib and he's fussy for a few and fall to sleep. I dont know WHAT in the world happened but I DONT want to get into the habit of doing anything out of the ordinary to get him to sleep. He was doing so well... what gives? He still sleeps great at night thank gawd! He's woken up a few times in the last few weeks and it brings me back to his newborn days when we were up every few hours and I didnt get any restful sleep! MISERABLE! Does Haylie normally sleep thru the night lately? I dont blame you w/ the Xmas thing - it's her first, and she should be at home! Why let his family see her for Xmas when your family cant - might as well just stay home with her and have her all to yourselves! Did you find her a cute Xmas dress? When do you leave for Arkansas? I'm anxious to see BL tomorrow night - I hope Vicky falls on her ass!!!

Arkansas? Why for? Ugh - yeah that sounds miserable if you ask me, but I hate road trips - remember?!! Haylie did great on the last one though - right? I'm sure it wont be too bad!!! Yep - we put Mr T on oatmeal a few weeks ago rather than rice cereal b/c he's already constipated! He's doing great! He gets 1-2 tablespoons in the am, and 4-5 @ dinner time. Sweet lord - I hate Vicky!!!!! I was SO glad that one lady voted Brady off - HAHA! I wanna quit watching it b/c I hate Vicky and Heba and Ed, but at the same time, I wanna see them fail so I keep watching! I was SOOO hoping that one black lady woulda won that step contest so that Ed wasnt back on the show - ugh! Okay better run - my little man is having a major melt down!!

Hi, I read your comment about your daughter scratching herself...My son does it too! Especially in the bathtub, and he leaves big red scratch marks on his belly too. Glad to know he's not the only one, I was wondering if it was a tic too.

eczema doesn't sound crazy at all.......... it sounds very possible. your description sounds like an allergic rash type thing, but i highly reccommend seeing your doctor, and getting it properly diagnosed. my son is 6 months old and has had allergic eczema since about 6 weeks old. He usually gets it on his cheeck and knees, but occasionally his back, belly and arms too.
Eczema is definatly possible on babies, and very treatable. Your doctor can give you a steroid cream to help the itch, but this only treats the itch, it doesn't solve the problem.

Try to work out what is causing the eczema.
Ask your self - Have you changed laundry detergent, bath wash, different creams or what she lies on? Does her belly come in contact with the ground when she does tummy time - could the carpet be irritating her skin?
Also - has her diet changed, could it be something she's eating that is causing the rash? After you see the doctor, and if it really is eczema you can help her skin by bathing her in some type of hypoallergenic bath oil. You shouldn't use anything that produces bubbles, because it's very drying to the skin and makes it more itchy.
You should also moisturise it with a basic moisturiser like sorbelene cream.
Eczema is a problem with the skin that means the skin is too dry and can't maintain it's own moisture. - that's why it gets itchy. My son's excema used to be very bad and very itchy and annoying to him. We eventually worked out that he was allergic to something we were feeding him (he was on breastmilk + formula) we changed his formula twice and went on an elimination diet so he wasn't getting anything bad through the breast milk and it didn't help. We eventuallyhad to take him off breastmilk put him on a medical hypoallergenic formula and he's doing great (his skin cleared up in 2 days!). He still gets eczema, but not nearly as bad! If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask. Sal

About the eczema thing... I have it and so doe my oldest son. Is her skin really sensitive or extra dry? And where it itches, it's usually a VERY dry patch of skin. I would suggest you make a doctors appointment for it. If it is eczema, they'll give you a prescription for a cream for it.

Yeah it was pretty distubing to say the least! Thankfully as I said though, our climate isnt very friendly for those creepy critters so I think our house is safe! Ahh see that's the fun thing about having a girl - buying a holiday dress! Have fun!!!

Oh good! We bought a few at Chitin Itza or however in the hell it's spelled - and just discovered yesterday that one of them was infested w/ termites! I noticed some saw dust all over it and all over the shelf while I was on the treadmill and sure enough - they had gnawd thru it, and even into the wood shelf it was sitting on. Thankfully our climate is too dry and cold for them to survive but it was still a pretty creepy discovery!! If we woulda known that was possible, we wouldnt have bought any wood statues! My hubby works with a girl who had a similar incident - she bought one of those big wooden bears to sit near her fireplace. After they got home and put it out, they could hear things in the wood - come to find out, it was also infested w/ termites and they got rid of it. Can you believe that crap??

Well I had him proped up against the couch (where the green blanket is!) and then the pumpkins helped as well!!! I work with him everyday on sitting and he's getting stronger, but cant do it alone yet!

Me too!!! Did you happen to see Oprah this week? I think it was Thursday but I cant remember... They had Bob and Jillian on, and some of the BL contestants from past seasons. They showed people who HADNT kept the weight off too - it was pretty good! Haha - I hear you! I have such a bad sweet tooth!! I used to LOVE candy - well, still do - but now I love cake and cookies MORE! I had a few things of hot tamales, some skittles and a few tootsie roll pops last night - notty! I havent done the treadmill since tuesday b/c I got sick too - bleck! I feel lazy...

Ugh - I just finished watching BL and cant stand the blue team! Well w/ the exception of the one nice girl - but I hate Brady and Vicky or whatever their names are, and I hate Heba! I wish they could play a nice game and let everyone stay to loose weight instead of all the drama that goes on! Course, who'd watch it then huh?

I'm the exact same way!!! But yeah, turns out all 4 month olds do this - but how are we supposed to know - we are first timers at this!!!!! You know - we have Tylers humidifier on the floor next to his crib. We put a thick plastic place mat (actually a plastic mat we had for the dogs water bowl!) down on the carpet and then the humidifier on top of it to catch spills if there are any. I can totally relate w/ the fire thing!! We have a space heater in his room that we ONLY use when he isnt in there, and when we are awake obviously - we'll turn it on to heat his room up at night before bed if we need to, then shut it off when he goes down for bed. I always make sure it's NOWHERE near anything that could possibly catch fire, but it DOES sit on carpet which freakes me out some... sigh... there's always something to worry about, isnt there?

We have a cool mist one too that we run when he's napping and at night. Ohmygosh isn't that frustrating when they wont nap??? Tyler will take anywhere from a 20 minute nap to a 45 minute nap (on a GOOD day) like 4 X a day. Today though, he woulda taken a long nap but I had to get him up to eat so we could leave for the dr's office. He'd been sleeping for an hour and 20 minutes which is a HUGE treat for me so I was super sad to get him up! Figures, huh? Anyway, he weighed in at 14 lbs 1 oz and was 25 inches long. And it turns out he ISNT teething like I thought - first time parent blunder I suppose! I dunno what to look for dang it!!! But he's doing well - yaay!
