My baby is due March 17, 2008. My husband and I have 7 children. 4 boys and 3 girls. A daughter-17, a son-15, a daughter-11, a son-9, a son-4, a daughter-2 and a son-16months. I have been induced with pitocin with all 7 children. I had an epidural with all 7 also. I plan on an epidural with this baby too! We are pretty sure "we're done". We joke because every time we say that we end up pregnant again. My body is tired so "Eight is Enough". We haven't thought of a name for him yet but then again we never do until the day I'm leaving the hospital and we've had enough time to try the names on the baby. My pregnancy so far has been pretty uneventful. Just feeling my age. Aches and pains a little more pronounced with each one I suppose. I hope he (the baby) is ready for the household he's being brought in to. It can be quite overwhelming sometimes.

December 10th, 2007

It sounds like I'm going to be induced the first week of March. My last baby was 9lbs6oz and their concerned about the size of this one. Not sure whether to be relieved or nervous. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens.

January 2nd, 2008

Saw my doctor today. She has given me the option of March 4th or 5th to be induced. It's two different hospitals so I have to decide which one I want to go to. Looks like my glucose test was good. Won't know for sure for a little bit. As always, a little too much protein in the p**. :) Blood pressure is great, nice and low. I've gained 22 pounds so far.

Hi Everyone!! It's really late and I just finished this whole music thing. Whew! I hope everyone likes the changes I made to my page. It's easier to read now I think. Anyway, most of my music is just stuff that I like but some has some meaning. Little Wonders is simply my favorite singer doing what he does best but first and foremost it's my song to my Nathan. You'll Be In My Heart is my song to my 15 year old. My Heart Will Go On is from my current favorite movie Titanic and my song to my lost angel, Shannon. Sept of 2002. I Hope You Dance is my song to my 11 year old. You've Got A Friend In Me is my song to my 9 year old. Godspeed is my song to my 4 year old. In My Daughters' Eyes is my song to my 3 year old. Forever Young is my song to my very first baby. My 18 year old. Where Are You Going is "our song". We went through a rough time in our relationship and spent the night downtown, alone one night and saw Mr. Deeds, the songs from the movie. It was just an awesome night and really gave us good memories. I haven't found a song for my 20 month old yet, but I will:) I put the Wiggles in there because he likes them!!

I had an ultrasound yesterday afternoon. My little guy is measuring at 33 and a half weeks!! Another big one. I'm actually 32 weeks and 2 days (yesterday, anyway). His head is measuring 34 weeks! His daddy says extra brain for a really smart guy. :) Their guessing him at 4 pounds, 12 ounces. I saw the doctor right after and she said we're still going to look at the 4th or 5th for induction. My legs are hurting something awful. Really achey (sp?), getting harder to walk too much. My doctor said he's pretty low. Gravity stinks!! They should just float, dontcha think???

February 20th, 2008

Had my 36 week check up today. My doctor was checking my cervix for dilation and discovered a foot there instead of a head. A week and a half ago it was a head!! So, now, we have a Footling Breech baby. We will be going back in next Wednesday to see if he's flipped. If not they will try to turn him if we want them to. If it works they'll induce me right away. If not we will be scheduling a c-section. I've never had a breech baby or a c-section, I'm terrified!! All of these babies and on the eighth we're going to have issues. She told me not to go in to labor!! That it could compromise the baby, with the cord and all. Now, how am I supposed to not go in to labor? Not that I ever have before 40 weeks before but now you never know. So, there's another reason for me to panic. If everyone could say a little prayer for us, that would be great.

February 27th, 2008

Good News Everyone!! Baby has turned !! Thanks so much for all of the prayers, thoughts, responses, crossed fingers, advice and wishes!! Now, we just hold our breath and hope he doesn't flip back around. As of today, I'm 1cm dilated and my cervix is soft, which has never happened in the past until at least 40 weeks. So, my doctor has scheduled my induction for next Wednesday the 5th at 7am. Yay, one more week and my little stinker will be here. Then I can have a little talk with him about how he scared his mommy.

Nathan turned 2 months old yesterday!! (May 5th) He had his two month check up. It was soooo sad. He had 3 shots in his little legs and one oral vaccine. He was pretty cranky today and didn't have much of an appetite. He's doing better this evening, though. He got his first buzz cut tonight too. Now he's like Daddy and two of his big brothers!!

June 24, 2008

I wanted to share my plan with you ladies because you've been my "friends" through all of these months with Nathan. At 19 years old in the best shape of my life I was 130 pounds and a size 7. I was a light weightlifter and miss aerobics. Through my first 4 pregnancies I continued to workout. By the time my fourth baby was a year old I was in great shape still and holding solid at 140 pounds. I quit smoking and in one year gained 25 pounds. I had stopped working out too. At the end of that year my marriage was on its way out the door. I spent a month doing double workouts, downing Metabolife, starving myself and smoking again. I got back down to 147 pounds. The next year I met my new husband and finalized my divorce. I got pregnant with my 5th baby and got married. In the last 5 years I've had 4 babies. When my 7th baby was 6 months old I turned 39 and decided to quit smoking...again. I was finally back at 147 pounds. The weight I was when I met my husband. (the main picture on my page is me at 147) By July, I found out I was pregnant with Nathan. By my first prenatal appointment in August I was already at 172 pounds. (why did I quit smoking again?) The day I delivered Nathan I was 202 pounds. Now, at 16 weeks post partum I am 182 pounds. (weighed myself at GNC in the mall yesterday.) So, I am 52 pounds from the weight I liked the best. But all things considered, my age, the babies, etc..I'll say 40 pounds overweight. I would like to be 140 pounds. If I don't lose this weight I'm afraid the depression I've been feeling is only going to get worse. My plan: I went to GNC and I'm starting with a 7 day detox thing. It's Slimquick Cleanse. During these 7 days I will only eat liquids and a light dinner at night. No bread, potatoes, rice etc.. I will work out 6 days a week. MWF doing light weighlifting. MTWTFS doing some form of cardio; treadmill, video, jumprope for 30-45 minutes. After the 7 day detox, I will start taking Slimquick Extreme and continue with my workouts. There, I'm committed, I've told my friends and now I have to do it. Wish me luck ladies. I don't want to be sad anymore and I want my handsome husband to have the same lady he married.

Thank you to all of you wonderful women who have responded to my husbands job loss. I still am amazed by the love that works it's way around this site. You are beautiful, all of you.

Hi Amy We had a beautiful sunny day with blue sky!!! Gorgeous. YEAH!

I'll wish you luck. I'm struggling as well and want to be able to actually do Weight Watchers w/o having to pay for it..... Easier to have to go and weigh in honestly. Anyway, don't beat yourself up. You're doing a great job as a Mommy and you need to be proud of that. You can't let the number on the scale dictate how you will live today. When I look at my scale I have to tell myself this.." I will not let what I see discourage me. I will only let it make me more determined." (Paula Knight, me). Take your time and don't stress if it doesn't go "fast enough." If you stick to it you'll see results and be able to be proud. You may even discover that your happy at a new, higher number. That's okay too.

I have to tell you Nathan is adorable I love all the dark hair, I wished mine had a think dark head of hair, Ayden has some but its not really dark. I would love my son to have that hair...LOL And you buzzed Nathan..LOL

melsue01 - Tuesday, 24 June
funny you mentioned babies ages. I always counted by the weeks. My daughter was born on a thursday, so every thursday she is a week older. I just always counted thursday to thursday. This week she is 19 weeks old, not quite five months, but that's just the way I look at it?.... Is that not how they do it? That's the way they did it during pregnancy, right?

pregnantme - Tuesday, 24 June
I have little interest because I'm so damn tired. LOL Plus if it doesn't feel that good then why do it? I already had to go through labor and delievery so he can just wait!!

Thanks for the info, but my stupid phone doesn't have picture messaging. I have tried but it sayd appliocation failed every time. I just need a new computer and phone..Ha-ha. But that won't happen because right now I don't have the $$ (lol)

momoffive - Sunday, 22 June
yep, that's how I learned it. It must just depend on your family. Sam loves it when I roll his arms around each other. He gets the biggest smile on his face. Sometimes I'll do it with his feet and when I sing throw it in the oven, I will bring his feet up and tickle his chest, I just started getting real little giggles from that one. He's quite a butterball and I think he's getting to be tickelish :-)

yes that is funny with the periods being gone while nursing and pregnant! I do not look forward to them coming back. I am so happy to be free even for a few more months. Usally at about 11 months they come back.

Have you decided if you are going to chance another one or close up shop? We are forsure planning to close shop. Erin will just have to be our baby and grow up with just us as the older ones leave the nest.

I am still waiting for the summer to begin here. Its June and still in the 50's-low 60's. I want to go outside and sit and enjoy the sunshine. I have really been going through ppd still even with the zoloft. I think the weather is playing a lot in to it. Its a bummer. I have lived here for 10 years and just never felt like I do this year. It just will never warm up and shine brightly. Thanks for writing. It brightens my day to see a message.

i gained a ton of weight with Nathan. when i went to the hospital to have him i weighed 267 pounds. i was a huge mama. As of today i weigh 206. when i got preggo i weighed 194. so i have 12 more pounds to go to get to my first goal. I am following the weight watchers diet, i dont eat after 7 and i see a diet doctor. im not taking diet pills but i get a B12 with Lipotropics shot and it is really helping we drop the weight fast! i pay 20.00 a week for it and i lose around 4 pounds a week now. thanks for the love!

usagi - Thursday, 19 June
Awww... look at your Paige. She is CUTE!!!

Did I ever mention to you before (don't know if we've chatted...) but it's funny... if my Paige was a boy, we were going to name her Nathan Alexander! No lie!

startingoverat37 - Wednesday, 18 June
My kids are cracking up...saying you are to old for myspace mom...haha...yes its cute...
I think a trip to a resort with just the babies is heavenly sounding! Funny thing is Moms with one would think that sounds like work and would want a sitter. Haha....Just the baby is like smooth sailing. I hope you are enjoying your day!

Binkybobo - Wednesday, 18 June
hey supermom. i was jut reading your post when I realized that u had an infant a 2 year old and a 3 year old. I do not know how you keep it all together

usagi - Wednesday, 18 June
Yay for babies named Paige!

The diet Paige is on is just a higher-calorie formula designed for preemies, to make it easier for them to gain weight. We use Enfamil Enfacare and it's 22 calories/ounce instead of the usual 20 calories/ounce. She also takes multivitamins with iron because she had to have 2 blood transfusions for anemia.
