7lbs 12oz, 21.5 inches

My little boy is finally here and he is just the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us!! All I can do is just stare at him in amazement. He is so perfect and so beautiful.

I had my 39th week check up on Tuesday January 22nd and my blood pressure was a little elevated and their was protein in my urine, so my doctor had me go for some blood work and a 24 hour urine test and told me she wanted to see me again on Friday the 25th to see if the protein was still in my urine. When I went back on Friday she had not gotten the results back from my blood work, but there was still protein in my urnine, she checked me to see if I had dialated anymore and I had to 3cm so she said that we would just wait and see if I had the baby over the weekend on my own and if not they would induce me on Monday morning at 7:30am. So I left the doctors office a little overhwhelmed that in just a few days one way or the other my little boy would be here. 30 mins after leaving the doctors office my doctor called me in a panic that she had gotten the results of my blood work and that it was not good, she said that my liver enzymes were dropping and my platlettes were dropping and she needed me to get to L&D immediately and she was going to have to induce me now. She called it HELP or something like that. So of course now I'm really scared!! So I call my husband and he rushes home and we get all of my stuff together and head to the hospital. My doctor came at noon and broke my water and they started me on patocin at 12:45. At 10:08pm my little boy arrived and was just perfect!! And once I delivered of my liver enzymes, platelettes, and blood pressure returned to their normal levels and we were both fine.

Hey ladies! First time mommy to be here!!! I'm so excited, but I'm so nervous and scared too. I've had several friends have miscarriages so I am worried to death about that! I can not wait to get out of the first trimester or at least hear the heartbeat so that I will feel a little better! I found out on May 31st the night before we were leaving for Vegas with a huge group of friends! My husband and I were not going to tell anyone until after the first trimester but with the party weekend to Vegas scheduled we were forced to tell our friends because they couldn't figure out why I was not partying with them! LOL!

I had my first prenatal visit with my nurse on June 11, but all she did was give a pregnancy test and then go over a whole lot of information with me as far as diet, exercise, different test that can be performed to see if there is anything wrong with the baby. They did blood work too and she said that she would only call if something was wrong, she never called so I guess that was a good sign! My next appointment is not until July 16th, I wish they would not have waited so long I will be almost 12 weeks before I see my doctor for the first time! I'm dying here to make sure there is a heartbeat. Is it normal to be this petrified???

We are hoping for a boy, but as long as the baby is healthy that is all that I really care about! My mom is so excited this will be her first grandchild, she cried when I told here and immediately wanted to start shopping! I told her she was not allowed to buy anything until I hear the heartbeat and make it through my first trimester, so instead she has started herself a money jar because she says she will start shopping August 1st! She is too funny!

July 15, 2007 - Well tomorrow I finally go for my first OB appt. I can not wait it seems like I have been waiting for ever for this appt. I am so excited to hear my little ones heartbeat, and to just feel the releif of knowing everything is okay. I have been feeling much better, I'm still really sleepy but at least the all day nausea has finally passed. Now the only time I feel nauseated is if I wait too long to eat. Hope everyone else is doing great!

7/16/07 - Well I had my first OB appt. today! It was so exciting, we got to hear the heartbeat! The doctor said it was at 156 which she said was really good, it was the coolest thing ever, now I want to hear it again! My next appt. isn't until 8/27/07 and they will do the first ultrasound then. Luckily they made that appt. for 8:30 in the morning so I won't have to wait all day anxiously!

August 28th - Just got home from my doctors appt. Had the first ultrasound today and learned that we are having a little boy! I am so happy!!!! This will be the first grandson on both sides! Now I can officially start shopping!!!!
