Hello All, my name is Cyndi. I am 24yrs old and mother of a beautiful 2 1/2 year old little girl, Ava Virginia. December 15th, 2007 I married a wonderful man, Cal. Cal has a 1yr old son, Ayden, whom we're not allowed to see, bitter baby's mom situation but we're working thru it. My husband and I wanted to have our own baby so badly we finally found out we were pregnant the 1st week of April. I am about 8wks along and we couldn't be anymore excited!!! Our families are absolutely stoked and supportive. This will actually be my 4th pregnancy so I know exactly what to expect. I had a miscarriage at 16yrs, had my 1st daughter, Ariana at 18yrs. Ariana tragically passed away 2yrs later, July 13th, 2003 in a fatal car accident. Then, I had my 2nd daughter Ava August 15, 2005.

Cal and I are best friends and we are looking forward to having our 1st child together. My tentative due date so far is December 21st 2008 so YES, we may have a Xmas baby! He/She will truly be our little bundle of joy!!!

could you happen to tell me what growing pains feel like? I am having weird shooting little pains on my left side of my stomach area that have lasted all day. They are only about a sec long but it does feel like a sharp pinch of pain. it's not the smae pain of round ligament the pain you get when sneezing it's different :(

ok so i did what you said and still haven't felt anything yet!! i think i might have felt like the fluttering feeling they talk about but since i've never felt it before i wasn't completely sure it was the baby. this weekend was disgustingly hot and humid so i didnt do much, but i'm gonna keep trying and i'll be sure to let you know! oh, and 1 MORE DAY!! ahhh we're sooo excited!! my instincts and feelings are telling me to think blue...lets see if i'm right

aww that's soo awesome! i can't wait for my boyfriend to be able to feel kicks, but besides him, i still haven't felt any movements! i want to so badly too. this whole week after dinner i've tried to lay as still as possible with my hands on my belly dying to feel something. nothing yet though. i'm wondering if i'll even be able to tell?? i'll probably cry the first time i feel s/he kicking! can't wait

Borh my doctor and my hair dresser said that it is perfectly fine to dye your hair during pregnancy at any time.

OH....and I forgot to say. Stay clear of the Nail Techs. that use AMA. Pregnant women shouldn't use that on their nails {even non-pregnant women shouldn't!!}
AMA is a very cheap product that some Nail Techs. buy....but it is soooo not safe!!!

Hi there. I am actually a Nail Tech. and getting your nails done is fine. As long as you were a mask for the fumes. They are actually suppose to supply you with one {I always do for my pregnant clients}
And as for hair....When I was pregnant with my 1st child I had my roots done {bleached} every 5-6 weeks...and everything was fine. And now with this pregnancy my hair is back to its natural brown...but I still get highlights put in it every now & then. :)

hey. i was wondering the same thing about hair and nails, so i researched and asked everyone i know. of course most people are going to say no dont risk it. BUT my old hair stylist was working and doing hair her whole pregnancy and her baby was healthy. anyway, i believe it is OK to dye hair as long as you are not dying it every day, obviously you wont be. and to do it in a well ventilated area so you aren't smelling the dye the whole time. and as for nails, i also want to get mine done, but i figured i would just wear one of those little masks they almost always wear anyway. i am DYING to get my hair colored again. i hate my hair right now. anyway, good luck!

I still get my hair done. And have seen MANY pregnant woman do it also. Im sure if you only do it a few times you should be fine. I guess if your really worried you could always wear a mask lol I work at a doctors office and asked everyone here and I got a steady NO it is not dangerous.

I'm in that same situation. my husband doesnt want to find out but I am going to find out on the 29th what we're having and am just goin to not let it slip (:hopefully:)
