Hello All, my name is Cyndi. I am 24yrs old and mother of a beautiful 2 1/2 year old little girl, Ava Virginia. December 15th, 2007 I married a wonderful man, Cal. Cal has a 1yr old son, Ayden, whom we're not allowed to see, bitter baby's mom situation but we're working thru it. My husband and I wanted to have our own baby so badly we finally found out we were pregnant the 1st week of April. I am about 8wks along and we couldn't be anymore excited!!! Our families are absolutely stoked and supportive. This will actually be my 4th pregnancy so I know exactly what to expect. I had a miscarriage at 16yrs, had my 1st daughter, Ariana at 18yrs. Ariana tragically passed away 2yrs later, July 13th, 2003 in a fatal car accident. Then, I had my 2nd daughter Ava August 15, 2005.

Cal and I are best friends and we are looking forward to having our 1st child together. My tentative due date so far is December 21st 2008 so YES, we may have a Xmas baby! He/She will truly be our little bundle of joy!!!

What kind of pants did you try on at motherhood? I am in the same situation w/ the pants... but the secret belly ones fit GREAT! I bought a pair and thats bout the only thing I wear, cause the underbelly always falls down, the secret belly goes all the way up and it doesn't look like it would be comfrontable but its the best thing since slice bread! I thought it would also be hot, but its def cooler, its a thin material! If you haven't tried it, TRY IT!

Try metalicus.com.au everything is stylish and stretchy and if you go to the sales section you'll get some great bargains. I lived in them in winter, no seams or zip's or buttons xxx

You could try Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft - they both have petite clothing and I think also have maternity clothes, so you would think they would have petite maternity clothes. Good luck!

Hey!! Ok so this is how my hr explained it. you get 6 weeks of short term disability (std) i've been with my company 2 1/2 years. you should get little bit more (std). That means that you are paid 100 % of your paycheck and benefits.
Then you get 6 weeks of Family Medical leave act (fmla) and that only gives you 55% of your paycheck and you have to make sure you fill out your forms and then you start paying the premium out of pocket until that 6 weeks is up.

After that with doctor approval you can get california family rights act (cfra) which gives you up to 12weeks of pay through the state and its 55% pay still.

i know thats a lot to take in. lol but during all of that you can get an extended std time from your doc so you will still get the 100% of your pay. does that all make sense?
i'm really not planning on going back to my job becuase i think i will be destraught to have to put my 12 week old in daycare. i will freak. so thats why i'm opening up a daycare. sorry this is a novel.

i was just reading your comment on drinking whilst pregnant...i dont agree with drink whilst pregnant even thou iv been told it cant harm you baby but i feel the same all i want is a ice cold cosmopolitan and sit back and relax with a smoke.

Probably not something you want to hear, and since I never really cared much for liquor I've never wanted it since I've been pregnant. But if you can stay away from the liquor, just for the sake of the baby, then it shows you have self control. Besides, you don't know how it will affect the little one in the womb- if they don't like it, it'll probably come right back up anyway!

In Oregon they are in the regular grocery stores... although the nicer grocery stores or natural food grocery stores tend to have more choices. We may have more choices here than in other states because we tend to be fairly knowledgeable / selective in our Beer/Wine drinking habits than people in other places... I know I learned a lot when I moved here.

The N/A beer is typically in the cooler, and the N/A wine is usually in the weird little section near the Kosher wines and wines without sulfites and stuff like that.
