Hey everyone, my name is Cynthia and I have been with my boyfriend Troy for a little over a year now. We were not planning on having a baby just yet, we were gonna wait until we got a house and everything. Oops hee hee, guess things change. On January 25th I took two home pregnancy test, cause I was 5 days late, one right after lunch time and one when I got home from work and both were positive. To make sure I would know for sure I bought the ones that tell you "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" and both times I didn't have to wait the full 3 to 5 minutes to find out, they both took about 30 seconds to come up Pregnant.

Wow it's been awhile since I posted anything. Well so far all is good, little girl is head down and growing on track. I have another appointment tomorrow. It will probably one of the quick ones, where the doc asks "Any problems?" "Any bleeding?" Then he listens to the heartbeat for 2 seconds, tells me her position and sends me on my way. But at least im that much more reassured that she is doing wonderfully. Everyone can not wait until she gets here, but nobody more than me. I am so ready for the weeks to be over and for her to show her beautiful tiny face. So that I can breath, eat and sleep again. All that and I can't wait to show her the world. Watch her as she see's things for the first time. Take her to the zoo, the circus, the aquarium, the beach... etc. It still blows me away that I am going to be responsible for someones life for the next 18 years.

My baby shower has been planned for August 30th (just 10 more days) I am a little scared nobody is going to show up. I don't know why I just have this feeling. I have sneaked on my registeries and nothing has been bought so I don't know what that means. I know I'm getting somethings, my sisters best friend has already bought something and she said it was something I didn't have on the registeries. My Aunt has bought the stroller/car seat combo and is having it shipped since she lives in Las Vegas and can't make it out here. My parents are taking us to get the crib and my sister has bought me a diaper bag and is getting the bedding for the crib. My mom, sister and Troy's mom also have bought a few outfits for her too so she will not be running around naked. :o) All the big stuff seems to be taken care of and I didn't have any of it on my registeries. It's just all the other stuff that I know were gonna need and now I'm gonna have to figure out how to get. With only 4 weeks after the shower to get it all. I'm gonna not try and stress about it. I know we will get what we need when we need it.

We did a lot of running around this weekend... my hips and inner thighs are killing me. Only 6 more days until our baby shower... yeah know I was stressin' about it before but it will be fun, I know it will at least be fun. We got some more outfits from Troy's mom. This week we are going to have to do some rearranging to fit everything in our tiny apartment. Troy doesn't want to move until we can get a house, which is totally fine with me. She will be little and she wont take up much room. We will just have to have different rules when she firsts arrives for Grayson since there will be a sleeping baby to think about. I'm sure he will adjust, he has a little sister at home that he had to adjust too.

Oh and we went into this thrift store to find some wacky 50's style shoes for Troy cause he has this 50's tallent thing at work in a few weeks. And this guy who worked in the store comes up to me and say "whoa don't have that baby in the store, you look like your ready to go at any moment!" Thanks dude!

Had the baby shower on Saturday and it went great. Had alot of fun and got some cool things for baby girl. The stroller and car seat, diaper genie, bumbo thingy, tons of clothes and stuffed animals, a baby tub and bath stuff. The diaper bag from my sister. Bunch of other stuff small things (bottles, diapers, etc). Oh my mom made me a baby cake, she use to make them for friends and co-workers when we were younger, but hadn't made one in years and she suprised me with one. In two weeks we are going to get the crib so we will just need some few small things. I have started washing all the clothes now. They are in the washer and dryer.

We were at WalMart last night and Troy wanted to walk through the toy section and we went down the girl toys and said I guess we're gonna have to start buying this stuff soon. And then he goes on to say how he wants to sign her up for dance/tap classes and he wants to get her on a sports team (soccer or baseball) maybe tennis lessons. Then he blurts out in the girl toys isle that we need to get her a baton to twirl. He started getting so excited. He's such a dork, but ya got to love him. I can't wait to see how he interacts with her when she finally arrives. She has NO idea how much she is already loved and spoiled.

Went to my doctors appointment today, he checked my progress asked the same questions and then checked my cervix and dialation. I am 1 cm dialated and he said my cervix has started to soften just a little but it was still hard. He said not to get too excited because It can stay that way for a while. Then he gave me a list of the 5 and only 5 reasons to call his office after this point, other than my weekly visits.

1. If my contractions start and they are 3 minutes apart for at least an hour. 2. If I start bleeding like I am on my period. (If it's just a little when I wipe then that's normal). 3. If my water breaks completely or starts leaking (leaking to the point where it feels like I have wet my pants, after I clean up I am to put a pad on and if I have to change the pad after a little bit) 4. Baby girl stops moving (I am to eat or drink something sweet and then lay down for 30 minutes, if baby girl moves then she is ok, if not then I am to go in) 5. Mothers (woman's) intuition, If I just know that there is something wrong, or not right.

But I have to go back up to the hospital and pre-register at some point. Boy oh boy, she's gonna be here sooner than I realize and I so can't wait. We had the crib ordered and it should be here by the end of next week. So exciting.

UGH! I wish she wanted to come out now. It would be so wonderful. But alas no! She apparently is content on staying where she is. The doc checked me again and I am still only 1cm dialted... nothing has changed. He said to come back on Monday and he will check again, then since i'm due the end of next week he said we can discuss our options of getting little girl to come out. The only good thing about her staying put is that we haven't gotten the crib yet. It's been over two weeks and nothing, an email has been sent to find out the status of it. We have the mattress and bedding, now we just need the crib and the little girl. Everyone wants the little girl to join us, but apparently she has her own agenda. I guess we keep on waiting.

Apparently had my last doctors appointment today. Went in, he check and said that I was 2cm dialated and that was good, and he was happy to hear that I had lost my mucus plug (progress). He swept my membrane (not a pleasant experiance at all, but it only hurt for a few seconds while he was doing it) with that he said there is a 50/50 shot that she will come within 2 days. If not he has set an appointment for me to be induced on the 6th of October which is Monday at 6:00am. But then he measured my belly and said I was measuring big at 41 weeks (Im not yet 40 weeks) and he said if it's correct then he may have to do a C-Section because it will be safer for little girl. He did an ultrasound and come to find out I am more belly than baby, he estimated her to weigh only 6.39 lbs... lol. But I hope and pray that she will be here at least by Monday so only 4 more days. YAY!!! Now I am going to try and do it without an epi... but if I can't take the pain then of course I am going to ask for one.
