Well this is the start of my new blog! I decided to start a new page now that Lilly is here! I do this as much for me as everyone else! It was so fun keeping up with my pregnancy this way! (And I just printed the pages out and put them in her baby book! So much easier that way!!) And now I don't have that much time to get online and email pictures to everyone so my friends and family can get on here and view them all at once... and see what Miss Lilly is up to! MULTI TASKING! =)

Well Lilly is 9 weeks 2 days old. She smiles all the time!! Especially for her Mommy and Daddy! It melts my heart every single time!! She is cooing at us too! Sometimes she just goes on and on like she is trying to tell us something! I think once she starts talking she won't shut up! haha She already is rolling from her tummy to her back! We can't leave her unattended on the couch even for a second! haha She is perfect and I couldn't be more happier!

Mesut is a wonderful Dad! I don't think either of us realized how much love you have for your children. It is amazing. And I love him even more watching him with our child. It literally takes my breath away some times. I feel so lucky to have them both.

Mesut's parents are here for one more week. I hate to see them go. I have enjoyed them being here. It feels like they belong in the house with us. They help out soooo much! Although if they stay to much longer I am going to gain back all that baby weight! haha She cooks everyday! YUMMY Turkish food! I can't wait to go to Turkey this summer! I hope everything works out so we are able to go! I miss them already and they haven't even left!

01/30/2008 Lilly is exactly 11 weeks old today!

Yes my little princess is almost 3 months old! She seems to get bigger and smarter every day!! It is just amazing to watch her discover the world around her! =) She found her hand Monday night! So now she likes to lay on her back and just stare at her hand! She opens and closes it and just stares! haha Of course we all think it is the greatest thing we have ever seen! =) She smiles so big her whole face scrunches up! It is precious.

I am proud to say she is a Mommy's Girl!!! She gives everyone else a hard time while I am at work! I know it is only because right now I am her breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack!! She wants her food in a boob not in a bottle! haha But I love that she wants her Mommy... because I know soon enough she will be all about her Daddy! He will make sure of that! haha

It is just so exciting to watch her learn and grow. It brings a love and a happiness to my heart I can not explain.

Lilly is a talker!!! She "talks" all the time!! Mesut called me at work the other night because Lilly was giving a "speech"! She just talked and talked and talked! haha I don't know where she gets it from! =) haha She is doing better at night! (Thanks to all you Mommy's who gave me advice!!) She sleeps almost all night. She gets up just to eat and usually goes right back to sleep! But sometimes she wants to talk and play!!

I always suck on Lilly's pacifier before I give it to her so it's warm. Well I fell asleep with it in my mouth but by the time Mesut got back with the camera I had taken it out! haha Doesn't my Princess look so precious! =)

March 14, 2008 Lilly is exactly 4 months old today!

Well guys I have a little chunky monkey! She went for her 4 month check up yesterday and weighs a whopping 15.4 pounds! She was 25 inches long! She is still bigger than most babies her age! It is from all that good breast milk she was sucking down! haha She is my big girl!

She SCREAMED when she got her shots! I didn't cry this time. She did enough for both of us! But once she got in her car seat she went right to sleep! When she got up from her nap she acted like nothing ever happened! While we were waiting for the doctor to come in we put her on the exam table and she ROLLED OVER! We put her back on her back and she rolled over again! Then AGAIN! haha She rolled over once when she was 2 months old then never did it again. I know we don't put her down enough. Someone is always wanting to hold her and play with her... except when she wakes up at 2 in the morning then nobody wants her! haha I do so that is just fine with me! It is one of the few times of the day I get her all to myself!

She started eating cereal this past week and apple juice! She loved it! I have some pics of her eating it for the first time... she didn't act any different than when she is drinking milk! She just loves to eat. She doesn't care what it is! haha I can tell she really loves the apple juice though because she sucks extra hard on the bottle! =) I will try and post those pictures next week. I have been giving her the cereal in her bottle but this weekend I am going to make it thick and feed it to her with a spoon! I can't believe my little Princess is about to start eating from a spoon. She is growing up so fast! I told Mesut before long she will be like "Daddy give me the keys to the car" or if she is like Mesut "Daddy buy me my own car!" haha I am just trying to soak in every day with her. I don't take a minute for granted. I love that I am her favorite person right now. I want to cry sometimes when she looks up at me and smiles sooooo big. I wish she would always look at me that way.

I am BAAAACK!! Finally! I have been studying for my boards for the past few months so I have not had time to get online and update my blog! Well let me fill you in...

Lilly is now over 7 1/2 months old. CUTE as can be! She looks soooo much like her Daddy. And she totally has his attitude! haha She is such a good baby though! She is CRAWLING all over the place! And has been for almost a month now. A few days later her first TWO teeth came in! They are on the bottom and they are soooo cute! She doesn't like it when I jam my fingers in her mouth and try to pry her tounge and lips away so I can see them! haha But when she laughs really good you can see them! Its so cute! She loves pulling up on everything. She wants so bad to walk but I think that will come much later. A few more months probably!

She is eating everything that is put infront of her. I tell everyone not to give her chocolate or any sweets but I know they do when I am not looking! =) She eats anything. She loves bananas and carrots but I make her eat her green veggies once a day! She LOVES to drink out of my cups when I am drinking. I usually just drink water so I let her. She has figured out how to suck the water without choking and spitting it out! It is sooo cute! I am just so proud at how good she is. I haven't had any problems with her. She sleeps almost all night. She still gets up once to eat a bottle but she will lay in bed and eat and go right back to sleep. So I can't complain. She takes about 3-4 naps a day. Our "morning nap" is my favorite because we usually get up around 7:30-8:30 and play for a few hours and she eats breakfast and then we go back to bed around 9:30-10:30 and sometimes she will sleep 2 hours! So I go back to sleep too!

But she does look so much like Mesut now. I can still see she has my eyes but everything else is her Daddy made over! She smiles and laughs alot like me but boy she is so head strong already like her Daddy! She is going to be bossing all the boys around! (Thank GOD!) I am still working 3 nights a week and missing her so much it hurts sometimes. But I know I am so blessed to have a great family that helps out when I am gone. I am thankful she doesn't have to go to daycare! Well ladies I will try and post some new pics up in the next few days! XOXO and i have missed chatting with you all so much!

Wanted to update everyone on Miss Lilly... she is PERFECT! She just got her two front teeth the past few days and they are soooo precious! When she got her bottom teeth it didn't seem to bother her at all but the past few days she has been crying and running a fever off and on. I hate seeing her like this. She has barely been sick so it's just hard for me not to see my little Princess crawling around the house trying to get in to everything. We are leaving for Turkey in a week so I hope she feels better before then. We have a loooooooooong flight (well multiple flights) ahead of us. And YES we are FINALLY going to Turkey! I am so excited. We are going for two weeks. Even my Mom is coming. I can't wait to meet all of his extended family and finally get to meet his big brother. My big brother and my sister-in-law will be here on Friday and will be staying until Monday when we leave for the airport so it is going to be really busy and crazy the next 3 weeks but so much fun! I just hope Lilly is feeling better and has a good time too. She is almost ready to start walking. I think it would be really cool if she starts walking in Turkey. Mesut's parents would love that. I don't know how we are going to leave them. It is going to be so hard!

Well Lilly is doing great and she is a lucky little girl to have so many people who love and adore her. I thank God for our blessings. I feel really lucky and I don't take anything for granted!

10 more days and my baby will be ONE year old!!! It has gone by so fast. I wish I could go back to this time last year! My belly was all swollen with baby Lilly... and I was laying around on maternity leave feeling her kick my tummy and wiggle around!! I wish I could go back and do it all over again.

Now she is crawling around the house getting in to everything! Kicking and wiggling... only now it is ON my tummy! :) She took her first two steps on October 24... but hasn't walked since! She stands on her own and will walk if she is holding on to something but she is still to scared to let go. Thats ok with me. I want her to stay my baby forever. I don't want her to grow up any faster!

She says dada (sometimes Daddy) and gel (pronounced geil) which means "come" in Turkish! It is so cute! She will move her hands and motion for you to come to her and say "geil"! So her first real word (besides Momma and Dadda) is a Turkish word! Mesut and I speak both turkish and english to her so I can't wait to hear what she picks up on. If I can say something in turkish to her I do because with her living in an english speaking country she will obviously speak english but it is so important for me that she speaks both. If any of you ladies out there are in a two language household let me know what your experience has been.

Anyways... she has her 2 top teeth and her 2 bottom theeth. She has been getting another top tooth but it is taking forever to come in. She looks so cute when she smiles really big for us! All her teeth show! I am going to post a picture of her silly grin! I swear I don't know how I ever lived without her. She makes me feel at peace. I can't explain it. I just feel so calm about life and just so happy all the time. I can not even be upset around her. She makes me so happy. I can just look at her forever. She amazes me more every day. I feel so lucky and so blessed God gave her to me. I can't wait to make another one! (BUT we are waiting awhile to have another baby.... so no baby news any time soon!!!)
