I am excited to reach the 7 week mark! This is our first time to try, got pregnant the first month! Went and had bloodwork pulled Friday, all levels where they should be, except the nurse said my hCg levels were high!?! What could this mean? I asked her if this was bad, she said no. However, my appt from April 2nd for a sonogram got moved up to Monday, March 3rd. HELP!

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

My appointment was very disappointing! I see all these girls who had their ultrasounds at 6wks. or 7wks. My doctor felt my uterus and said it measured 7wks. 6days (almost 8 wks). I was expecting to get to hear the heartbeat. He just felt my uterus and had me give 8 viles of blood for tests. Needless to say I was disappointed! Don't get your hopes up that your doctor will do anything. They may or may not do an ultrasound. I wish he would have, but he doesn't understand he's a man! ARG!!!

How far along you are depends on whether you calculate it from your missed period, or whether you calculate from when you ovulated. That's why this says you're 7 wks and your baby measured 6 wks and a few days. It's so confusing. I've been going by my last missed period because people aren't impressed if you subtract a week or two. I started out telling them from when I ovulated, but someone said to me, 'so you aren't really very pregnant at all!' It kindof hurt my feelings. I feel pregnant. I may not be HUGE yet, but there's definately someone inside me who has taken over my life. :)

OMG Stacey!! I miss you SO bad!! I'm so excited you found me!! YAY we're pregnant together!!! CALL ME!!! The same thing happened to me too!!! I went in to get my first blood test when I was just bearly pregnant. He told me to come back and get another blood test in two weeks to make sure they were still rising. After the second blood test he called me and said my hCg levels were sky high! Maybe we're both having twins!!!!! AHHHH! :) I love you girl!! Miss you tons!!

I had my first ultrasound yesterday, and according to my last period i would be 8 weeks today, but the baby is measuring at 7w2d so a few days off. All babies grow at a different rate. all that matters is the heartbeat!!

Hi chick,
With regards 2 ur comment in week 7.
I would go by from the 1st day of ur last period. As for the size of the baby, we r all different shapes & sizes & children grow at different rates. Thats what makes us unique, so I suggest u take no notice.
