Thanks for the info babe, at least i know it's not just me. The reason why I was boggled about it, is because it's not everyday. Plus the doc told me everything was fine down there and my cultures were good. Guess I better grab some Vagisil. I hope all is well with you babe!

Hey there...I saw your post about getting the hostess of your bay shower a present. I purchased bath goodies for my host and attached a handmade tag that said "from my shower to yours. Thank you for throwing me such a lovely shower. I hope your next shower is as amazing as mine was."

melriz35 - Friday, 2 May
My best friend through me a shower last Sunday, and I got her a $50 American Express gift card so she can do what she likes. Hope this helps...................

Hey daisy04- Thanks for the advice babe. You are absolutely right, if it happens again, I will let them know how I feel. Even if I have to speak to the office manager, or whoever is in charge. It's bad enough that health insurance cost so much in the country, and so does the healthcare for that matter. You would think that when your having a baby, your already going through the motions, that so called professionals wouldn't treat you like that. At least my baby is ok, and my bp has been down all day. Thanks for your support sweetie.xxx

LOL, never mind, you might very well be gritting your teeth on your own!! LOL!!! xXx

I just now read your post in week 35... LOL!!! I think I'd be more worried about ripping the world's loudest farts, instead of pooping!! The drs can whisk the poop away... farts stay in the air!! HAHAHA! Thanks for that laugh.. I needed it! My belly hurts now... ;P

Hi Daisy, I just have to say I read your msg in week 35 (about the pooping) and I could not stop laughing. I even forwarded it to my husband. Seriously, I am in total hysterics. thanks for brightening my day

MariaC - Wednesday, 23 April
If I was you I would contact the ones that are supposed to be your friends and ask them if they are going to come outright!

We don't have anything like baby showers here in the UK, and after hearing all the hassle you girls have I'm bloody glad!!

Let me know what happens. xXx

Thanks. Sadly, it's good to know I'm not alone. My MIL teaches part time esl classes and has end of year party on May 20th. She said that if the baby comes early she won't be able to come because she can't miss the dinner with her students. It is so odd. Then she scheduled surgery for my husbands younger sister for just days after the baby is due. All to avoid having to change their summer vacation. I feel so special! My mom made me feel better when I told her by telling me that she is glad my MIL won't be there because that means she gets more time with her grandbaby and me. :) Thank GOD for sane people!!

Hey - Don't even worry about getting RSVPs back. I know you feel horrible when you don't, and you think that nobody will show up, but it's really nothing to stress over. I sent out more than 60 invites out, and seriously only got like.. 4 or 5 calls back. But most everybody came. And those who didn't, sent their gift with somebody that was coming! So don't worry. It'll turn out great!

Thank you sweetie. It is so nice to hear that you went through the same thing..not that I would wish bleeding on anyone lol. My dear friend Tisha on this site had HG with her pregnancy. She just had a beautiful baby girl Erin last month. At 36 weeks she had a blood vessel burst as well. Mmm...interesting three HG'ers...

Us and dogs too. I didn't throw up on my dog...but one of my dogs threw up all over the landing today. I just about flipped out. Heck, I probably caused the bleeding vessel with my anger. I LOVE my dogs more than anything but we JUST got BRAND NEW CARPET. So there I was nauseated cleaning up dog puke. Not fun. But, your poor dog was probably wondering what was going on. I really hope that your nausea goes away. I know it's not fun on any level.

You asked about the smoothie.. well, I used to use ice, but I've found that if I use frozen fruit (it keeps longer, too), I don't need ice. It makes it richer and less watery tasting. But, if you choose to use fresh fruit, you'd definately want to use ice. I also use fruit juices. As far as yogurt goes, if you buy a big container of it, its alot cheaper. Just get a big thing of vanilla. It tastes good in any flavor of smoothie. You can do strawberry-banana (I slice up fresh bananas and freeze them), mixed berry, raspberry/mango, which is good if you add a little OJ. Just use your imagination and mix it up. They're so addictive! Happy mixing!

Sweetie-
Thank you SO much for your message. I have two freinds on here that have had HG. It is so comforting to meet others that understand. Just this last Friday my hubby was taking me to my appointment and we pulled over on a busy street as I was puking my guts up. I was hunched over and this lady couldn't see how far along I was. She asked if we needed anything and I told her I was pregnant she said..."oh, morning sickness, I totally understand, don't worry it will pass." I am such a nice person I just threw up and thanked her. I WANTED to yell and tell her that I have been sick everyday for 8 months lol.

Well..your message meant alot to me. It is really nice to know that someone else has been through this and that you are pregnant again and not having HG! I am very a positive person...but this week has been tough. If I have even just a few hours of fluffy time I am ok...but I didn't get that break until tonight!

Here is my HG story. I got sick immediately. Was diagnosised in the ER with HG and had never heard of it! I started with Matria home health care with 24/7 IV's. On Phenergan. The Zofran. Then a Zofran pump in my leg which I have had this whole pregnancy until I coulple weeks ago. I was on Unisom, B6, Reglan...you name it. I tried everything. I am a cancer survivor and I was never this sick with chemo treatments! Well...my veins kept blowing and I was bed bound. We ended up getting a PICC line to feed me and baby. I had that for about two months with a couple blood clots and then the lumen broke and it had to come out. Back to the IV's again. I haven't had an IV in about 1 1/2 months! I take Phenergan and Zofran now and am hanging in there. For awhile I was only having one violent episode about every 5 days...but then I relapsed again. I want to be a Mommy more than anything in the whole world...but I have been robbed of life during this pregnancy. I am just hanging in there, each day---trying to get by.

I really appreciate hearing that you are doing well during this pregnancy. That gives me hope. Everyone tells me that the moment you hold your baby that every minute of HG will be worth it.

Sorry for the long message. I just really appreciated you writing me!

Rikki - Monday, 7 April
Thanks for tthe message and I do plan on doing it all natural! i do not want to have any drug at all.. so hopefully i can do that....hope you are doing well.. thanks again for the message

mvthomas - Sunday, 6 April
Thanks for your suggestion! Yesterday it felt like every limb this little boy has was moving at once. All I could do was freeze up. Well anyhow, I hope that you are doing well. We are almost there!!!

mintea - Saturday, 5 April
Hi, I've gained almost 40lbs so far...which is a bit ridiculous since I wasn't underweight in the begining or anything. But my midwife doesn't seem worried about this, she just keeps saying that I have a big baby in there and that i look beautiful. The baby was almost 4lbs a few weeks ago, I'm sure its around 4.5 by now. I think maybe your doc is overreacting a bit. This is the time that the baby gains the most weight and I have read that dieting isn't such a great idea...besides the amount of extra fat the baby has won't make it more or less difficult for a vaginal birth...its the head and shoulder size that actually makes things difficult. Maybe you should get a second opinion.

bdubb - Saturday, 5 April
I have put on 30 as of two weeks ago - most likely more by now and my doc wasn't concerned. That is bull. Also, isn't 4 11 right on track for the baby's weight right now? If not it is pretty close. I agree with you that is bull.

1stimemommy - Saturday, 5 April
Thanks!! I am going to try that.

Jenee-n-Angelina - Saturday, 5 April
o god I cant believe your dr told u that. I gained over 30lbs so far and my dr says nothing to me. 28 for now is so normal I wish I was there and Im hardly eating. I think your body is going to gain whats its going to gain nomatter what.

I have gestational diabetes also and they did not put me on a diet. I have to watch my carb intake. That means to cut as much as you can from the sugar foods such as rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, cereal, peas, and sugar to name a few. You have to eat many dark green veggies, no juice or soda, maybe diet soda like 7 up. Crystal Light is good for you because there are no carbs in the mixture and it taste good, just like juice. When looking at the labels on the boxes, you only want to look at the "Total fat"; it should read 3% or less. In addition, look at the "Total Carbohydrates"; it should read 30 % or less. Try to buy things that are far away form that 30% because if you have mike with it, you have to add another 13% and it will make your sugar levels raise. Good Luck with your gestational diabetes.

yeah, this gd thing is kind of frustrating. the dietician i met with gave me this as my food plan...breakfast 2 to 3 carb choices. morning snack 1 to 2 carb choices. lunch 3 to 4 carb choices. afternoon snack 1 carb choice. dinner time 3 to 4 carb choices. evening snack 1 to 2 carb choices. a "carb choice" is 15 grams of carbs per choice. for example: 4 oz. of orange juice is 1 carb choice. 8 oz. of milk is 1 carb choice. an average slice of pizza (preferably thin crust) is approx. 1 to 2 carb choices. oh, and if there is a decent amt of fiber in whatever you are eating, you may be able to eat a little bit more as a carb choice. veggies count as "free" except for potatoes, squashes, corn, peas. eat those in very small ,1/2 cup to 1 cup, as a carb choice. this is only a example of what i was given. so, hopefully when you get a chance to meet with a dietcian you will be given a handy dandy chart too! :) oh, and i was given the go ahead to have products with splenda as a sugar substitute. i enjoy those little ppwdered drink mixes that contain it. i will try to get some more info for you. in my particular case, even with diet modification, i have to pick up a prescription tonight for oral diabetes medication. i am still doing blood glucose monitoring 4 times a day. also, they recommend 30 minutes of exercise a day. even walking helps. i need to get on more of that part!!!! good luck!! :)
