Hello moms or mothers to be, 12/10/07-I'm Dana and I'm 23. I wasn't married or engaged when we found out I was pregnant... but got engaged two days before Christmas!! It's was the best moment ever! This is my first time being pregnant! I'm SO excited about it and just can't wait to find out the sex (it's a boy!!!!!!) of out little pride and joy to be :) I work full time as a bookkeeper and love it. I'm due June 23, 2008!!!
11/27/07Well i went to
the doctor on Tuesday the 11th and i found out the sex on January 15th,
I am so excited i think it to might be to soon but we'll wait and see!February 6, 2008Well i went to the doctor today and finally gained 4lbs! I lost 3lbs in the first 2 months and now it's back to grow BIG! I heard the heart beat too, it's so loud and it was in the 140's. What a lovely sound that is. I think we like the name Andrew the best it's my fiance' middle names and Alan will be the middle name and that's my dad's middle name. I should be getting the crib and dress/hutch today and hopefully putting it together tonight if not tomorrow. I can't wait for the room to be finished! I'll have lots of pictures up. It will be so weird to have a room just for a little someone that we will be bringing into this world, it's starting to sink all in now....
5/30/08-
So I’m 36 weeks pregnant and let me tell you, this week I decided
that I didn’t want to be pregnant anymore. I have had the best experience anyone
could ever ask for being pregnant. But this week my feet started to swell badly
and my stomach is so crazy tight! I am still working 8-9 hours a day, well I
sit at a computer all day but still it’s SO uncomfortable at times! We did pick
a name out Mason Alan; I love it and so can NOT wait to see what he will look
like and everything else that goes along with having a baby. I don’t think that
I have heard a story that I can’t man up to, so I’m trying to think how my day
of labor and delivery will go. Because so many people have told me their
stories and I can’t wait to see how mine will turn out!

This is my story I man up too! LOL
So it all started June 3rd 2008 when I woke up
having pain I didn’t want to go to work but I hate to not go and waste the day
away. So about 8am a got a bad headache and just didn’t feel like sitting
around at the computer for 9 hours feeling sick (like I was going to puke). So
I went home that day and felt better and did some things that I HAD to do. Like
things I needed to do before the baby came. The next day I still had lower cramps,
but still just thought it was pressure and they would go away so I sat at work
and I felt pretty good, I just think I was in a really good mode and just
complaining a lot. Well that night when I got home I did my normal routine
clean house and ate dinner. As my fiancé was in Washington D.C.
(I live in FL) which is about a 12hour drive. He called me that night like he
always did and I told him about my pain and it seemed to be getting worst, but
me I still thought nothing of it. So I got off the phone with him about 10pm and
went to sleep. Well low and behold I woke up with good strong lower pains at
12:40pm on the dot. I called my friend from TN to chat since I couldn’t go back
to sleep and talked with her for about an hour and a half. At that time I was
like ok what is wrong with me I started to feel funny and I text my fiancé’ at
that time and told him they where hurting more. Of course he was sleeping. J
I thought to myself who in the world would be up at this time a night that has
had a child!?!?!? I called one of my friends (Carolina) and talked with her for about
30min. and she was like DANA YOU ARE IN LABOR!!! And I giggled and was like
there’s NO way I’m only 37weeks. My luck the baby would be late! So I got the
nerve to call the nurse and told her what I was feeling. So she called the
hospital and I was on the way. HAHA NOT!
We go to the hospital and they checked and I was ONLY 3cm as they said. They
kept me for an hour and by then the pain was going into my back, and I couldn’t
move when a contraction would come. I DO (I promise) take pain pretty quietly.
I don’t like to look like a weirdo. So finally the hour went by and they
checked me again, HA NO CHANGE! The nurse sent me to walk the wonderful halls
of the hospital as well as eating my wonderful ice chips! Well after 2 lovely hours
of that. They didn’t believe I was in labor! WHAT THE FREAK EVER! By this time
I let my mom know as well as my family and so of course my Fiancé freaked out
and asked if he should come home, I said I don’t know!?!?!? But his mom was
like HECK YEAH! The nurse gave me 2 sleeping pills and told me to go home and
relax…….OK…….I got home at 7am and the sleeping pills made me puke everywhere!
No sleep for me. I was on a LONG road of labor at the comfort of my own home.
(I would HIGLY recommend staying at home as long as you can, because when you
get to the hospital they strap your ass DOWN, no doing ANYTHING!) SO-finally I
was in SOOOOO much pain for those 30 seconds of my life! It’s like your how
body is paralyzed during a contraction. No joke. I would have shoved my fist in
my back when one would come and then it would be ‘A’ ok after. LOL I called my
doctor at 4:30pm and said look I need to come in and be checked again! I went
in and FINALLY 6cm!!!!! YES! Mason is on the way! I was so relieved because all
day I keep telling myself I didn’t want to go back to the hospital because I
didn’t want to be disappointed again and for them to send me home! I got to the
hospital and they wouldn’t give me my epidural till I had two bags of fluid.
Jacob (my fiancé) got there at 6:30pm. And they gave me my epidural at 7pm. And
after 33min of pushing Mason Alan Kelley was welcome into this amazing world at
11:33pm on June 5, 2008 7.12lbs 21in.
