Oh that is so maddening about the contractions. I've had a couple of false alarms myself lately. Just means that things are coming along. I'm getting so anxious just waiting for something...anything to happen. I decided to go for a pedicure today just to relax a little.

Danalee, if my contractions were five minutes apart and strong, I would make my way to the hospital. Some women have stronger contractions than others. You don't want to get to the hospital too late. Best of luck!

Thanks ... for some reason it only happened yesterday and the day before. Now nothing. Weird. I have a check-up on the 22nd. Do you think I should wait or should I call the Doc tomorrow? Thank you for responding.

I'm kind of hoping to have my baby naturally as well, and the way the doctor gave me that internal today, I wouldn't doubt it! I'll be wishing you a quick and easy delivery.

The primrose oil wont work right away, but I believe that is what moved me from less than 1cm to 3cm in 4 days because I certainly havent been feeling contractions. Your baby will be here soon, just try not to focus on it, makes time go a whole bunch slower. Oh, I'm so excited, soon we are going to have our babies!

yea, I'm 41+ wks and some girls are desperate enough to be putting 4 up there! But that is desperation talking, 2 is the recomended dose from most sources I've read. Good Luck!

I am sooo jealous! You are so close to being done. I have never really enjoyed my pregnancies b/c of m/s and getting so huge. My favorite part is being right at the end and not knowing when I will go into labor. Its fun to know any minute you could be a mommy:)

When I went to the doctor last Friday I was told my cervix didn't look good for induction so they would wait until 41 weeks to start talking about it. I got it in my mind that if they werent going to get the baby out I was going to do it myself! I've been taking 2000mg of evening primrose oil by mouth everyday, I have also been putting 1 capsule up next to the cervix - the gel coating does disolve! I've also been drinking my rasberry leaf tea and eating pineapple. I have gone from a fingertip dialated and thick to 3cm dialated and 70% effaced. Good luck to you and your little bundle of joy!

Wow your almost there to see your little one. I'm not sure where you live but my doctor always gives me the choice of being induced two weeks early. I think I have been dilated and effaced a little bit each time so maybe thats why your doctor wants to wait to induce you. Your sooo close just try to be patient and enjoy the rest and peace time. Go catch a movie. Baby Mama might lift your spirits. I saw that one and its pretty good. Best of luck to you and your little one:)

That could be, but I heard when you have that it iches everywhere. Are you iching all over or just the belly. Well we are very close to the end, so hang in there.

after I take a shower I always put globs of baby oil on my belly and then when I get out I also put lotion. I have not felt the iches yet. I wish I would have done this in my first pregnancies maybe I wouldn't of gotten stretch marks...

Palmer's Tummy Butter with Lavender seemed to work very well for me. It's a little greasy for a bit but it took the itch out right away. Good luck! You should be able to find it at the drug store. It comes in a little tub.

I used Bio-oil on my belly.....worked like a charm.LOL
