Hello
Everyone I just turned 29 years old and have been married to my husband
Carl for 4 1/2 years (it will be 5 years on June 21st). This will be
our first child so we are both really excited about this new
experience. We just moved here to San Antonio by way of other countries
we were living in including Japan and Korea. It is good to be back in
the states and even better that we will get to have our first child
here. My husband is in the Air Force and I work for the University of
Texas at San Antonio in the Purchasing Department. We are supposed to
find out the sex of our baby on March 28, 2008 and we are due on August
15, 2008. I look forward to learning from others and getting help and
advice along the journey. I welcome any advice and extra support is
even better. I want to congratulate all of you who are pregnant and
those who have already brought life into this world-this is truly a
beautiful experience and may God Bless you all!
Update: It's a boy!!!! It became official on March 28, 2008 at 3pm that we have a little boy playing around in my stomach. My husband was extremely excited because he wanted a boy first. We are naming him Jordan Lambert he was doing everything from twirling his fingers, hiding his feet, sucking this thumb, posing for pictures, sticking his mouth out to actually playing peek a boo with himself using his left hand and left eye. It was all so surreal and so cute...I can't believe he is inside of me, reality hit then and I keep staring at my belly wondering what he is doing...we are so excited!!!
We can't wait for our little one to make his debut...our families and friends are so extremely excited. We thank God for this blessing that came along at the right time when we are both ready for a baby...We are ready to shower our baby with all of the love that God allows us to!

lulizzle - Monday, 19 May I see you are just as stressed about what baby needs as me! Thank god Babiesrus.com has a New Parent's Checklist. It has EVERTHING and more that baby will need once he or she is here!
fabforty - Monday, 19 May Yeah it was really wierd... Kind of a happy/sad moment since he was my first baby and watching him growing up to be a young man is a little scary, especially with the fact that I'm pregnant. He's a great kid...I pray that Jordan is as easy as John was, but every child is different...
fabforty - Monday, 19 May I completely understand. Try not to worry though, our little Jordan's will be here soon enough so we wait.... I am starting to feel like the time is going slow, I guess it's because I'm getting excited to see him.
Over the weekend, I cried because my son went to prom (check out the new pics) I can't believe I'm old enough to have a child that just turned 17!!!! It freaked me out.
fabforty - Monday, 19 May Hey there! How are you and baby Jordan?

This air with everything blooming getting to you yet? Its killing me lol....
Momma327 - Saturday, 10 May I have the same exact problem. I sit in front of a computer at work, and I bend forward to type and look at the screen. I like to get my work done as well. We just have to try to remember to get our work done but to take it easy as well. Its hard but its worse when we are one our way home from work and our back hurts. =( Try to get a pillow and try to sit back as much as possible. Good luck! =)
KMF - Thursday, 8 May I wish my husband would help out. I think he feels weird doing it. LOL!
fabforty - Thursday, 8 May I know, I miss it sooo much! I'm lucky because my friends and family usually drive up to see me now that the 2 hour drive is just too much and it's 3 hours with the rush hour traffic! Girl, don't even talk about the the Taste of Chicago! Especially now!
Anyway, I have my u/s tomorrow and I'm so excited to see my little boy again.
fabforty - Wednesday, 7 May That's great! I really miss Chicago. I was there this weekend for my best friend's baby's christening and it was great to just be back in my home city. My hubby's family is really nice and I love our house here...but I hope we end up back there oneday. Hubby's job requires us to be here...
fabforty - Wednesday, 7 May That's actually a good idea that I had not thought about as our church has a school for k-8 and childcare professionals are there as well. Maybe I'll check out if there are people who do in home care as well...Thanks!
What part of Illinois is your family from?
fabforty - Wednesday, 7 May That was a blessing! This baby stuff is sooo expensive especially the furniture. Good your family is able to support you guys. My best friend had a baby last summer so we got some great things that were either barely used or not used at all. Childcare is really scaring me...I have been researching nanny's since I work from home. However, I will still need someone to watch the baby since the bulk of my day is spent on conference calls and video conferences. I'm really nervous about that since my son was only watched by my family when he was a baby. I live in Wisconsin now and my family are in Chicago, so that won't be an option and hubby's fam can't do it. I have until November to find someone but still...Ughhh....
fabforty - Wednesday, 7 May I actually did not make it to the grocery store and we had left overs :) We were tired after the long day. Have yo been shopping for the baby yet?
mommyforlife - Wednesday, 7 May My husbad just tries to feed me. He thinks that's always what's wrong lol....
cartersmommy - Wednesday, 7 May Yes, it is safe and recommended by most doctors. I know that starting in the late 2nd trimester many if not most women become anemic during pregnancy. The side effects of anemia include exhaustion, so I would ask your doctor. It will hopefully help you out! And it makes total sense to want to look good even though it is your sister's day. You don't want to be the frumpy pregnant sister :) Accessories can make an ok dress an awesome outfit, and you will look fabulous! Good luck. Nice chatting with you
*pinkneptune - Tuesday, 6 May Thanks for the compliment ~ I sure don't feel like I look good, I am so ready to NOT be pregnant anymore!! *sigh* lol. Anyway, how did you like Japan & Korea. I've lived both places. You should post some belly pics too. Congrats on your baby boy.
