Hello
Everyone I just turned 29 years old and have been married to my husband
Carl for 4 1/2 years (it will be 5 years on June 21st). This will be
our first child so we are both really excited about this new
experience. We just moved here to San Antonio by way of other countries
we were living in including Japan and Korea. It is good to be back in
the states and even better that we will get to have our first child
here. My husband is in the Air Force and I work for the University of
Texas at San Antonio in the Purchasing Department. We are supposed to
find out the sex of our baby on March 28, 2008 and we are due on August
15, 2008. I look forward to learning from others and getting help and
advice along the journey. I welcome any advice and extra support is
even better. I want to congratulate all of you who are pregnant and
those who have already brought life into this world-this is truly a
beautiful experience and may God Bless you all!
Update: It's a boy!!!! It became official on March 28, 2008 at 3pm that we have a little boy playing around in my stomach. My husband was extremely excited because he wanted a boy first. We are naming him Jordan Lambert he was doing everything from twirling his fingers, hiding his feet, sucking this thumb, posing for pictures, sticking his mouth out to actually playing peek a boo with himself using his left hand and left eye. It was all so surreal and so cute...I can't believe he is inside of me, reality hit then and I keep staring at my belly wondering what he is doing...we are so excited!!!
We can't wait for our little one to make his debut...our families and friends are so extremely excited. We thank God for this blessing that came along at the right time when we are both ready for a baby...We are ready to shower our baby with all of the love that God allows us to!

glamour313 - Tuesday, 6 May Hey hun, hope all is well..Thanks for he belly compliment :) I took the glucose drink and loved it lol it tasted like cold flat sprite which I think is strange to like hahaha
augustbump - Tuesday, 6 May LOL YES AND THE AWKWARD GAS LOL!!!
Cartersmommy - Tuesday, 6 May Have you looked at maternity bathing suits? Is it just me or are they hideous for the most part? I thought shopping for maternity clothing was difficult! I bought a new cover up for my non maternity bikini from last year. And if people have a problem, which nobody does, then they don't have to look. Hope you found a cute outfit for your upcoming event. Are you taking iron? I notice that when I don't take my iron supplement for a couple days I look and feel exhausted...
Military-wifey - Tuesday, 6 May I'm always reminded!! It seems like I can't drink enough for some reason. Every potty break in the middle of the night I have to get some juice!
fabforty - Tuesday, 6 May I know the feeling...today the hubby dragged me to Home Depot and Lowes to get stuff for some of his outdoor/yard projects and I'm exhausted. I have nerve, since I'm not doing any of the work. But the process was grueling, (I don't even think I could baby shop today),LOL! i need a nap, but I have to go grocery shopping now :(
Military-wifey - Tuesday, 6 May You mentioned in an earlier mssg that you get so busy at work that you have to remind yourself to drink.
Jadedpoet - Tuesday, 6 May I saw your comment on the 25 weeks forum. I feel your pain on the outfit thing. I wind up torturing myself and walking into charlotte rouse and seeing the cutest fashions out and wishing I could wear them. I've noticed though that some fashions do really well to flatter a pregnant woman though and its in style!! ^_^
Momma327 - Tuesday, 6 May I was looking at some tips online to relieve back pain while pregnant. One of the factors for me was that I sit all day in front of a computer at work. And I only get up to use the bathroom. They said that I need to take a break every hour (which sounds foreign to me - lol) but I do notice that everyday when I leave the office, my back is killing me! I guess I just have to take it more easy now. How is your pregnancy so far?
kasey9533 - Tuesday, 6 May Your welcome :) And thank you, good luck to you too doll. Im here if you need anything as well.
cartersmommy - Tuesday, 6 May I have found some really cute dresses that fit and are not even maternity dresses. Most of the styles now are really loose around the midsection. So don't lose faith! You will find something :) I have even found dresses at Target, Dillards, and even young stores like Forever 21. Good luck and smile...at least you have a really good reason to gain weight ;)
fabforty - Tuesday, 6 May Girl I hate when pregnant women give horrific war stories to first time mamas. I know better :) Anywho... how are you feeling?
Momma327 - Saturday, 3 May Yes my back is always the first place to feel pain. And I keep thinking that we are only in 6 months!! Imagine during the later months, oh goodness! =) I am glad that other women are experiencing the same thing as me. Congratulations on your little man. Now that I am having a girl, I want a boy the next time around. Take care and be safe! =)
newton2 - Friday, 2 May hay thanks for the compliment!! hope all is well, xx
fabforty - Thursday, 1 May I thought about that after i sent it :) Sorry, it's the pregnancy, LOL, I was like this girl is going to say "TMI!" Sorry girl, definitely comfort was my intent. I'm sure you and baby will be perfect.
Military-wifey - Thursday, 1 May Not good mommy! Water and juice is your best source right now.........Remember your urine at each visit tells a lot of what you have been drinking and it can also detect if you sugar is not good......that shows up in your urine. As your wks go by you feel like you can't drink enough! Then your tired of going to the potty like every 30mins!
bexandruby - Thursday, 1 May Thats what i keep telling myself, its good for the baby! I will be glad to get on maternity leave so i can keep running to my own loo without feeling embarrassed!
fabforty - Thursday, 1 May That's cute, your hubby has a brother that is 2, WOW! well my son will be 17 in 10 days and will have a little brother that is a baby. The world has really changed! Just happy that this is a happy, healthy pregnancy. I love the name Jordan because of MJ also :) I'm originally from Chicago (born and raised) and moved to Wisconsin when I got married 1 1/2 ago. My husband is not the huge Michael Jordan fan that I am, but loved the name. I'm so excited about actually seeing my baby for the first time that I have dreamed about him at least 4 times in the last month :)
fabforty - Thursday, 1 May I understand how you feel...I told my doctor I had a c-section the first time around and would rather do a c-section with this one. I have some fibroids that may prevent a vaginal birth, but really contractions and labor pain scare me as well! I had no desire to go through it again after I went through 26 hours of pain with my son and never really dialated so they ended up doing a c-section anyway. I guess my body just would'nt cooperate :)
Don't worry about it, for now just enjoy the pregnancy, you may be one of those lucky women that go in and "Poof" baby will be here with no problem :)
Military-wifey - Wednesday, 30 April Don't think too much on the labor.........you think its going one way but it goes another........coming from a person who delivered natural w/ no meds...not by choice though. I want it over too b/c I do miss my husband but the military is the life he wanted. This is his 3rd time and each time he was having a baby!!! His son from his previous relationship was born the day he got back....our 1st daughter........and hopefully this one also even though it will be for 2wks. How weird is that?:) Glad things are going well for you..........stay hydrated!!
momma23 - Wednesday, 30 April Be sure to have an awesome labor coach! One who can keep you focused on your breathing and the goal of every contraction! The birth of your babe. You'll do fine! And don't pass up the epidural if you need it!
jjohnston6 - Wednesday, 30 April Girl I am not really worried about labor. I am thinking of the nice epidurel I will receive first thing. But I am freaking out about when I might go into labor. Everytime I check the sites about what week I am in there is always a phraze that says "if your baby is born this week...." Then I start going crazy about him staying in there long enough.... Oh I can't wait to be done with this so that the next child I am not going crazy about every little thing!
fabforty - Wednesday, 30 April Just realized your baby boy's name is Jordan too! That's such a cute picture... Congratulations!
fabforty - Wednesday, 30 April Wow! They are truly an adorable family but your husband has almost as many siblings as mine :) My husband is one of 10 (eight boys and 2 girls) Frightening girl!
fabforty - Wednesday, 30 April Yeah. I still haven't left yet :) I had another conference call that lasted an hour and I'm posting as I'm on the call! How is your pregnancy going? I see this is your first, it may as well be my first as well since i completely don't remember most of this from 17 years ago. LOL :)
