Hello
Everyone I just turned 29 years old and have been married to my husband
Carl for 4 1/2 years (it will be 5 years on June 21st). This will be
our first child so we are both really excited about this new
experience. We just moved here to San Antonio by way of other countries
we were living in including Japan and Korea. It is good to be back in
the states and even better that we will get to have our first child
here. My husband is in the Air Force and I work for the University of
Texas at San Antonio in the Purchasing Department. We are supposed to
find out the sex of our baby on March 28, 2008 and we are due on August
15, 2008. I look forward to learning from others and getting help and
advice along the journey. I welcome any advice and extra support is
even better. I want to congratulate all of you who are pregnant and
those who have already brought life into this world-this is truly a
beautiful experience and may God Bless you all!
Update: It's a boy!!!! It became official on March 28, 2008 at 3pm that we have a little boy playing around in my stomach. My husband was extremely excited because he wanted a boy first. We are naming him Jordan Lambert he was doing everything from twirling his fingers, hiding his feet, sucking this thumb, posing for pictures, sticking his mouth out to actually playing peek a boo with himself using his left hand and left eye. It was all so surreal and so cute...I can't believe he is inside of me, reality hit then and I keep staring at my belly wondering what he is doing...we are so excited!!!
We can't wait for our little one to make his debut...our families and friends are so extremely excited. We thank God for this blessing that came along at the right time when we are both ready for a baby...We are ready to shower our baby with all of the love that God allows us to!

CARLY4BUMP - Monday, 28 July hiya, its got great advise in it. on all topics its great for first time moms. its called your pregnancy bible. written by dr anne deans, theres a whole chapter on excersies, for example there is one that you can but your self in a sit up position and but baby on your knees and lift your self up to baby and interact together or. when you do push ups use your knees and put baby under you up near your face and every time you go low you can kiss or make baby giggle and it doesnt seem like a chore but more fun with your baby,. there other ones, that done use baby... im in work right now, but if you want i could try scanning them in and sending you them by email. take care,
Military-wifey - Monday, 28 July Thank you!! You look so cute w/ your bump!
tiffyw - Friday, 25 July I understand ! It's not that you are not ready- There is only so many books you can read and only so much personal stories you can listen to. But now this is you- Your own story- Your own experience.. It's the fear of the unknown and the what-if's..But I am here to remind you ,that you are going to give birth to a beautiful baby boy, you have the support of a strong ,black man who loves you.
You are going to be more than fine you are going to be dynamic..When it's time to give birth you are going to morph into soldier.. And a nuturer.. And noone will be able to tell if little man is your first baby or one of many..
BEST WISHES,Dani!
Tiffany
tiffyw - Friday, 25 July LOL- I think our little men are reacting to our small frames.. They are both coming from some very large men and were placed in petite women... We have identical circumstances. I am praying for you.. I know there are moments when I plead with little Simba to settle down- he always listens which makes my heart melt.
How are you feeling?? Let me know ..
Tiff
1stTimeMom2B - Friday, 25 July Hi dani, I have had similar shooting pains as you have described. I think it is the baby down in the pelvis. I read in some of my baby books that once the baby is engaged you can experience those types of pains and my doctor told me the same thing. It does really hurt so I understand! It's like my little boys head is bobbing side to side and send these shocks...ouchy! Hope you don't experience a whole lot more of those. :)
