**My husband and I are pregnant with our first child and are due this October. We decided not to plan to get pregnant, just wait and see what happens. We didn't want the stress every month of waiting to see if my period would come. We weren't actively trying to conceive but we also weren't actively preventing it either. We figured it would happen when it was suppose to. Well it didn't take long... we were married in October 2007 and pregnant by January 2008!
**We have decided not to find out the sex of the baby which is only adding to the anticipation of the birth! We have chosen Ryan William for a boys name (William is my grandfathers name) and are all over the place with girls names!! My husband likes Madison, I like Madelyn.. either way it will end up being called Maddy. Kate, Megan, Alison (Ali) and Brynn are all in the running. If it ends up being a girl we will just have to see what she "looks" like to us!
**I have had a pretty easy pregnancy up until week 22. Before then I only had morning sickness twice and was feeling great... no aches and pains. I was having severe back pain that migrated to my abdomin and was admitted to the hospital where I found out I had kidney stones. It was horrible! I am just hoping the last few months are as uneventful as the first few (wishful thinking)!
**Update 7/30: I've noticed the pregnancy getting a lot harder as I enter the third trimester. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I've just noticed a huge difference in my body the last few weeks. I am usually a very active person so it is a bit frustrating when simple things like walking my dog tire me out! As of week 29 I have put on a total of 16 pounds. I am not complaining by any means though, I love being pregnant. It's just a lot harder than I thought it would be! We had another sonogram at 27 weeks. The baby weighs 2lbs 6oz. He/She is extremely active, it moves around a lot during the day but it seems to put on a show for my husband and I at night. It is such an amazing feeling.
