We just found out we are pregnant! I took a few tests and they were all positive. This is really exciting but also scary! I go to the doctor's on Thursday to get an official test.

Just as we thought...we are still pregnant. I set up my first 2 appointments with the OB and her nurse. I can't wait until those first appointments. I have so many questions.

I have been reading a lot of different VIP pages, and it seems that everyone finds out the sex of their baby before the birth. Are my hubby and I the only ones who want it to be a surprise? It seems like everyone finds out the sex of their baby these days. We aren't going to find out the sex of our baby till the day he or she is born.

Today I think I am starting to get symptoms of morning sickness. Sometimes I feel sick to my stomach and sometimes not. Right now I am starving and I think I am going to eat. Have I mentioned I cannot WAIT for my first appointment with my doctor?
Friday March 14th
Yesterday and today have been rough days. Yesterday one of our friends told another friend of ours we were pregnant, alas NOT keeping our secrect. I got very upset and emotional. It was a trying time in the morning. Then to boot, I started to feel very sick yesterday. Last night I didn't sleep at all. My husband has been in Montana since Tuesday so I woke up this morning feeling very ill and all alone. I left him a voicemail message in tears, and I am sure this freaked him out. He told me to go to the Doctor's which I did. The Dr. did a strep test and I am waiting for the lab results. If it isn't strep he thinks I have very severe influenza. Then he mentioned something to me called Fifths disease http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/bacterial_viral/fifth.html and he said if it is, it could cause a miscarriage. This scares me. A lot. I just want to feel better. I have had a really hard time getting any sleep today. I haven't been able to eat anything either. I just made some jello, so I will try to eat that...I want to take my amoxicilan and prenatal vitamin without getting sick. I can't wait for my husband to get home.

Nothing really to report. My morning sickness seems to be better as of late, which I am thankful for. My first doctors appointment is next Monday and I cannot wait. Is it normal to get your first sonogram at 9 weeks (my 1st appointment)?

Tomorrow is my first appointment at the doctors. The appt. is actually with the nurse and is an informative appointment. I am excited to see the doctor in a couple of weeks and get an ultrasound. When is it common to get you first ultrasound? The Doctors office said not until about week 13 should I get one. I just can't wait.

Well, we had our first doctors appointment and ultrasound. The ultrasound was SO cool. You could see the hands, feet, face and body. We also got to hear the heart beat. Matt kept saying "wow, why is it moving so much!!!". It was very cute. The hardest part was not peeing all over the table as she pushed on my full bladder with the little ultrasound thingy. I put 2 of the best ultrasound pictures up on this page. It feels much more real now that I have seen that there is in fact a baby in my tummy!

So it has been forever since I wrote anything. Not much to report except that I am feeling good! My doctors appt's are moving along nicely without any problems (fingers crossed). I have had a quad screen test and didn't hear back, which the doctors says is good! She said that if we don't get a call that means everything is fine. I have my 18 week appt. this Thursday. It is the first one my hubby isn't able to attend due to a business meeting and he is super bummed. It is so great how supportive he is, and how he enjoys coming to all the appointments. I don't think I have felt the baby kick/move yet, and I want to so badly! I feel like I am kind of in a baby excitement lull and I am waiting for something to occur. I am almost halfway through and have had so many exciting moments already, I am eagerly waiting for the next! We are NOT finding out the sex of the baby so we don't have that coming up anytime soon. Anyway, I am having (and have been for a while now) completely bizzare dreams that have nothing to do with babies, chick, puppies or ducks (like the books say I should). I think it is kind of funny! I do have regular headaches and I am finding that yoga is helping, but I have to adjust the yoga to what I am able to do without feeling uncomfortable. Well, back to work! Have a great day.
