Today I am 27 weeks 3 days pregnant with our little 'Milan'. He spent all afternoon yesterday moving around like crazy. I love watching my tummy and trying to envision what he might be doing in there. I have been feeling tired lately. I've heard that the way you feel during your 1st trimester is generally how you end up feeling in your 3rd trimester as well. I hope this isn;t all together true, because I was so fatigued during the 1st trimester, I barely remember it!
My tummy is growing every day and it's getting a bit harder to do things like go up and down the stairs without getting out of breath, bend over (I have to remind myself to squat) and getting in and out of bed. It was beautiful outside yesterday, so I went out on the deck to enjoy some sun on my tummy for awhile while reading a book. It really didn't feel like I was out there for very long, but my tummy ended up getting a rash, which is still itching me, along with a massive tear shaped sunburn! My chest got pretty red too. I was really surprised. I thought getting some sun/vitamin D would be a good thing for both of us.
Daddy is gone out of town for a few days. He is working so hard but still takes time to talk to my tummy at night. The sound of daddy's voice makes the baby go crazy! It must be the deep bass in his voice--it's like flicking a switch, the baby just starts going nuts! Yesterday he flew to Ottawa and back, and today he has flown to Halifax until Friday. He needs a vacation! Poor Daddy.
We're off to see the midwife on the 20th for out monthly visit. After this visit, we will see her every two weeks until the baby comes. Our midwife's name is Ann.

I have completely slacked off on this journal thing. It's too bad too, because there are so many little things I've thought about jotting down along the way! That's what you get for being lazy!
I am 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant today. I feel great! I have the nicest baby belly so far. I think My baby boy is going through a growth spurt right now, because I wake up in the mornings hungry. I always feel snackish!
There was a period of time when I would be up every night eating 2 peices of toast and a glass of milk because I was so hungry, but that tapered away.
I have suffered many headaches during this pregnancy too, which is an easy trade for the morning sickness that I did not experience. I was so lucky that way! But now, even the headaches are slowly going away. I was experiencing them 2-3 a week for about 1-2 months. Maybe it's because Spring is here that I feel great! I have honestly really enjoyed the pregnancy up to this point, the only thing that I haven't liked so much is the weight gain! My bum, breasts and thighs have all grown and it has been a bit depressing at times.
We have the baby's room all finished except for a shelving system in the closet. Our excitment grows daily, along with nervousness! We can't believe we are having a baby soon! The idea of being pregnant hasn't even yet fully sunk in!
Only 103 more days to go. Our baby boy is gorgeous. We have had many ultrasounds including one 3D ultrasound. We can tell from those pictures just how handsome he already is--just like his daddy.
We have been calling him "Milan" since MARCH 10th, 2008, which is when we found out we were expecting a boy. I'm so in love with that name! I know I will be even more in love with the little boy that comes into this world. I feel so proud knowing that we conceived him together out of pure love. He will be a very loved little boy thats for sure!

I am officially 13 weeks today. I'm very happy to know i am almost out of the danger zone. It hit me this morning that this baby was truly coming. I don't know why it hit me, but I expect I will have more than a few moments of realization along the way of this pregnancy. I have met the midwife, Anne, and she is very competent and friendly, but you can tell she means business for sure.
I feel pretty good, still have an occational sick feeling but the fatigue is slowly easing. My belly is much bigger now as I was used to having a nice, toned tummy prior. I don't know if it's all pregnancy though because I have been eating like a horse. I am hungry all the time! It's amazing how fast the hunger hits and how badly it hurts if I don't eat something pronto! No one understands that it feels like my stomach is eating itself...
There is so much I am looking forward to in the upcoming weeks-- finding out the sex of the baby, beginning to decorate the nursery, growing a true baby bump and not looking "thick", the 3D/4D ultrasound, and much more!
Monday January 14, 2008
Today is the beginning of week 10. I become happier every day that passes that approached the end of the dangerous first trimester. To me, that is a sign that I really do want to become a mom and have my own little baby!
I am very excited to find out the sex of the baby so I can begin decorating the nursery. We will find out the sex by having a 3D/4D ultrasound, and we will include my in-laws in the event so they can meet their little grandchild too!
I don't feel sick very much anymore, but still tired and am able to sleep almost all the time. At night time I sweat profusely which actually wakes me up! This has been a little bit disturbing at times because I don't have an answer as to why I may be sweating so much!
My belly is a tiny bit swollen. At night we can see it much more, regardless, we are both excited to watch me grow bigger week by week!

After days of combing this website doing a lot of reading, I decided to become a member!
I am 10 weeks pregnant and both shocked and excited to be pregnant. I'm looking forward to this, but am very nervous about giving birth and becoming a mother overnight. I know I have alot of preparing to do ahead of me in the next upcoming months...
My husband is already showing distinct signs of being a proud papa! It's very heartwarming and to tell you the truth a confidence builder at the same time too. He will be such an amazing father! I can't wait to see his child in his arms for the first time.
On Monday December 7, 2008, we had our first ultrasound. It was amazing to see our little baby in there. The baby actually gave us a little jiggle, which madeit seem all too real that we are actually having a baby.
I think it really hit home for my husband to see that I have a growing human being inside of me. (Crazy when you think about it, really!!)
We love looking at our ultrasound picture and are anticipating scheduling a 3D/4D ultrasound so we can meet the baby before he/she is born and discover the sex!
