Monday, November 17th

I am still on Lupron. I went in for my first blood test and ultrasound last week. The ultrasound was fine but my blood test showed that my estrogen was too high. Apparently this happens in 35 - 40% of the women who go to my clinic. My RE nurse said it was nothing to worry about. I go for more bloodwork on Wednesday the 19th. If all is well I will be able to start Bravelle (stims) on Saturday and will hope for a ER the first week in December. Trying to stay positive. I'm getting anxious for Christmas so I've started taking things out. If I'll be down and out in early December I want to make sure I get my Christmas stuff up sooner rather than later so I can enjoy it longer. Hopefully I'll get everything done before the weekend since Thanksgiving is next week and that is always hectic!

Thursday, November 6th

I am still on Lupron. While the shots didn't hurt at first they are starting to sting. I might need a new poking ground and may not be varying it enough. I am anxious to start the Bravelle next weekend. I keep reading posts here and on thebump.com and while I am trying to be positive and excited, I am starting to get nervous. There are so many women who have had 3,4 and 5 IVFs or FETs and I am becoming a little scared. We can't afford to keep doing this. Paying all of this out of pocket is expensive. I guess all I can do is pray and try to keep positive thoughts.

Wednesday, October 29th

Last week at the doctor's appointment they measured my uterus and I had my protocol interview. I started Lupron injections yesterday and will start Bravelle on November 15th. So far the injections aren't a big deal at all. Keeping track of everything I have to take is a little daunting though. We went and saw a social worker last week too. She was wonderful! She told me what to expect and what was going to happen, how they'd take out my eggs and whether it would hurt or not. It was so helpful. She told us to stay excited because no matter what if it doesn't happen we'll be disappointed so why waste time being scared if it works out for us. So here I am with a positive attitude. We've been picking out names (because if I am anything it is thoroghly obsessed). With my eggs coming out week of Thanksgiving and then being implanted a few days later, this holiday season will be an exciting one. By the second week in December we'll know if I am pregnant. Hopefully it will be a very merry Christmas.

Thursday, October 16th

I finally got my AF (20 days late). So now I've started on birth control to give my ovaries a rest and we are both on some kind of antibiotic. We go for a doctors apppointment, injection class and counseling session next week. Then I start injections on Sunday, October 26th. I got my BOX of prescriptions today. Holy cow! There are about 8 different drugs and 3 different sized syringes. Very intimindating. I can't wait to go to the appointment and class next week to figure out when and how much and how to get this thing rolling. They keep telling me that it is an 8-week process so I am guessing that they'll do the transfer in mid-November and the rest is 2WW. I am just guessing though.

Wednesday, September 24th

DH and I went to our infertlity doc and he has advised us to do in vitro. Our cyle will start with my next AF which is due Saturday. I will then be on BC for three weeks and then the fun drugs begin. They think transfer of the embryos should be the week of November 10th (our anniversary week). They say that there is a 50% chance it will work and since I am under 35 I have a good chance. So, we wrote out our downpayment of a trillion dollars to begin this endeavor. They are really thorough. We even have to have counseling. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Tuesday, July 1st

Well since the last time I was here my husband got tested and we found out he has a low sperm count. We've made an appointment to see a urologist but of course since it's summer it is taking over a month to get in and see him. His count is too low even for IVF. So we are still waiting. . .

Thursday, May 1st

I had my laproscopy last Friday to remove a cyst which was the size of a tennis ball. I was worried I'd lose an ovary, never thought news would be worse. Dr. said that b/c of an appendectomy 5 years ago there is a ton of scar tissue -- too much for him to remove. He said that I have a ton of eggs and my tubes are not blocked on the inside, there is just too much scar tissue for the egg to go down the tubes and therefore I am high risk for ectopic pregnancy, if I can even get pregnant at all. He suggests that we look into IVF. Needless to say we're devistated. Not really what you want to hear. So, I am taking a break from the site to get my thoughts together. Hopefully I'll be back soon.

Friday, April 18th

My surgery is scheduled for April 25th. If the cyst is on the ovary then my Dr. will see if he can carve around the ovary and leave some tissue, if the cyst is in hte ovary then he will have to take the ovary and will leave the tube unless that is damaged and then he'll take that too.

Wednesday, April 16th

Got AF 1 day early this month. I really thought this would be our month. I was having breast pain and weird sensations and veins on my bb but I guess not. I had an ultrasound today and found out the cyst had grown so I am going to have it out. Hopefully it will be scheduled for next week sometime.

Tuesday, April 1st
I went to the Dr. today for a midcycle intrauterine ultrasound and found out that I have a few eggs growing. One of them is 5 mm and is too big (they like them about 2.5). He thinks it may be because of the Clomid but I have to go back again next month for another ultrasound after my AF to see if it shrinks because if it does then it is b/c of the Clomid. Also I have a thick lining so apparently that is good news. He said there is no reason we can't keep trying this month as I haven't ovulated yet (even though today is CD14). So, I guess, we'll continue to BD every other day.
Wednesday, March 19th

Got my AF. Month 1 of Clomid . . . nothing. Same dosage for month 2

Wednesday, March 5th

Well, I went to the Dr. yesterday for my mid-month check up on my first round of Clomid. He said my CM was a good texture and that my left ovary was a little bigger than my right and everything looked good. He said most people don't get pregnant on their first month of Clomid, but there is no reason why we cant. He also said if I don't get pregnant and my period doesn't come on time that he'd bump up my dosage of clomid. Here's hoping that the 2ww wont be too treacherous!

Wednesday, February 20
I finally got AF today CD66 with the help of Progestrone. On Friday (day 3) I start Clomid. Hopefully it will work!
Monday, 4 Feb
I went to see my OB today. He thinks I have PCOS and gave me progestrone to start AF and then clomid for after that. Here `s hoping. Babydust.
Thursday, January 31
Well, today is CD 46 and no AF and no BFP. I have a doctors appointment on Monday so hopefully he will shed some light on the situation.
Friday, 25 Jan
I went and got a serum test on Wednesday. It came back BFN. The nurse told me to wait 14 days to get my AF. That sometimes for no reason women skip cycles (never happened before). So, I guess we are done TTC until I get AF. If she doesn't come in 14 days they said I'll have to have an ultrasound and some tests. Never thought I'd be wanting AF! Oh well, vodka tonics here I come this weekend! Baby dust to all of us TTCers!
Tuesday, 22 Jan
I took another test this morning. Surprise! It was another BFN. Still no sign of AF. I have to pee ever time the I turn around and for the last few days I `ve feld nauseous in the a.m. Hopefully its a good sign and not my body reaking havoc on my psychy.
Monday, 21 Jan
Well I am 9 days late from AF. Starting to feel nausous. Spoke to friend who is a DO he said lots of women don `t show up on PT until 10 days late. Hopefully I will have a plus sign tomorrow!
Wednesday, 16 Jan
Hi. My husband and I have been TTC since March 2007. We have been married since November 2006. My husband is 39 and I am 33 so we decided to start soon after the wedding in case there were any problems. So far no luck. I've gone to the doctor and had some things checked out but Andy hasn't gone yet. I am not sure what we're waiting for. Since we've been TTCing I have had 17 (not an exageration) friends/relatives either become pregnant or give birth. That is a little frusrating. A friend of mine told me about this site and how much fun and supportive it is. Thanks to all who are helping me through this trying, difficult, emotional, tiring, and all around frustrating time. Babydust to all!

Just read your posts and wanted to tell you good luck!! I hope that this round of IVF works for you. My husband and I are going to finally try IUI. I go for my ultra sound on Friday to see how many eggs are about to be released (if any) and then will probably do the insemination a few days after that! We should both be getting our answers at about the same time. I have been thinking of all kinds of ways that I could tell my family. I thought of wrapping up a little pair of socks or something and then writting a note saying "the second half of this gift will be delivered in 9 months" or something cheesy like that!! Crazy, I know, because they have already told me that it might take several times to get a pregnancy, but I can't help myself! Please keep me posted on your progress. I will be keeping you in my thoughts! ~Tonya

Good observation. I agree! :)

So do you wait for an af now, or do you go right to retrieval and transfer.....the american protocol is soooo very different. It seems so much longer in the US. When I get my next period, on day 3 I start 7 days of shots, then on day 10 I do my retrieval then day 13 my transfer-its that quick and easy here. We dont do any form of proir drugs.....thats really interesting.

Good, Im currently on bcp until the 29th-as I am taking a well needed holiday from the 21-30, so we delayed our treatment one week. I was supposed to start my injections on the 23rd, Ive postponed them til the 1st of December, so if all goes according to plan ( I dont hyper stimulate) I should have my retrieval December 10th or 11th, and should do my beta test around december 25th or 26th. The waiting is killing me as I am on the pill a week longer, but hey Ive waited 20 months what is another week!! Good luck, keep me posted on your follicle count and everything else, Im rooting for you!
