Monday, 5 May I don't have PUPP, but I have obstetric cholestasis which is basically the itching you have but without the rash, so I KNOW what you are going through. My husband doesn't understand me when I say that pain would almost feel better than the itch. I don't sleep well and the meds they give me only work for a few weeks and then the itch gets worse again. I am lucky in that my condition requires a delivery by 37 weeks, so I know I'm not going to 40. Hang in there! kerrin -
Monday, 5 May omg I am soo itchy right under my boobs where mu skin is stretching and it;s only in one place I am soo miserable, It hurts soo bad to itch and just looks like a red spot, what is it called and should I tell my doc Squive -
Monday, 5 May OMG! Bless your heart! I had a very mild case of PUPPPS and my dr. perscribed me some pills that stopped the itching... my tummy is a little dry now but at least I can sleep at night. Try to avoid hot hot showers and using soap that has frangrance in it... I started to use antibacterial dial. RaynbowMami -
Monday, 5 May Get some tinactin. That might work for your rash. cherbear -
Monday, 5 May Pupp isn't dangerous-- just uncomfortable for you... BUT -- you definitely should call your doctor today. Don;t stay uncomfortable! That is just plain crazy! jenelle -

Monday, 5 May LOL- I didn't mean dogs... PUPP is a condition some people get during pregnancy... Hopefully you don't have it- It will go away, but not until after you give birth if you do. I was lucky-- mine was an allergic reaction...... cherbear -

Friday, 2 May With my first, they didn't give me an ultrasound and I probably won't get one this time either. Both times if everything was going fine, I would have only gotten then US at around 12wks for dating and then one around 20wks for morphology/sex. My doctor also estimated that my son would weigh between 8 and 9lbs. When he was born he weighed 8lbs 8 oz so towards the end, it's kind of easier to predict the weight without u/s. mplsmama -
Friday, 2 May Hey there, I saw your question about u/s and baby's weight... I actually wouldn't have gotten another u/s if there hadn't been a potential problem. My fundal height was measuring at 37 wks when I was only 32 wks along, so that's why I got another one today. It's a bittersweet thing... I loved being able to see my little baby, but I wouldn't need the u/s if I wasn't so dang big! They only estimated the weight for me today too because I am measuring very large for this stage. So it's actually not abnormal for the dr to not order any more u/s's at this point. If you want to know the estimated weight, I'd ask at your next appt. I think many docs can guess just based on feeling your abdomen, but who knows. Good luck! jess84 -
Thursday, 1 May If the baby is healthy your not going to spend that much time in the hospital my hospital only keeps patients for 2 days max. As far as oufits go and bibs you wont need to many you can take baby hospital blankets home with you and those work fine for spit up. As far as the size of oufits. I would bring 2 differnt sizes. My son was 6 pounds when he was born and he was swimming in his preemie oufit. but you never know. The doctors estimated him weighing 7.5 pounds a week before he was born and they were way off. Wednesday, 30 April Hi Datoria,
I was reading in a baby magazine the other day about excessive itching. A lady in the magazine had it and it turned out to be liver disease. I don't mean to scare you, and with you It's probably just stretching skin as it's on your belly and she had really itchy feet and palms too. She was just saying though to anyone that gets it to just check with their doctor to be on the safe side. I am sure it's just the stretching but I thought i'd pass on what I read as it's only a phone call to your doctor. Deveney -
Wednesday, 30 April i use oatmeal lotion too. the one i use is suave natural oatmeal. i picked it because it's pretty inexpensive, plus there's not really any smell to it. i had to stop using cocoa butter lotion because the smell was making me sick! anyways, good luck! MyLilAidan -
