10/12/07: Had a little scare over the past few days with right lower abdominal pain, no bleeding. Went to the MD and they decided to do an u/s just to be sure. Finally got to see my little guy/girl and every looked good. They think the pain is from stretching of the uterus but I go back in 2 weeks for another u/s.

Pain is gone. Now I am hungry and FAT! Go this Friday for scan to see the spine and neck for Down's Syndrome. I am already a little nervous about it. Will update after!

Sunday, 28 Oct

10/26/07. Had the u/s and blood test for Nuchal testing and checking the spine. Things seemed good! Baby did NOT want to cooperate though...the u/s tech needed the baby to look straight ahead and baby kept their head turned. I had to roll onto my side, then the tech had to push on my stomach and still the baby would not move its head straight. Once she finally got a good picture, the baby wouldn't stop moving! So funny...I already have a stubborn kid hee hee! Just like the parents :)

11/26. Had a quick belly check at the MD's today. All is well, heartbeat 137. I love hearing that heartbeat...I could listen to that all day!!

Go for the big scan on Dec 7th but we are NOT going to find out what the sex is. I think waiting will be hard but make the delivery that much more exciting!

Also, I am up 10lbs now...feeling fat and moving to maternity pants for comfort.

Dec 7:
We had our big, anatmoy scan u/s on Friday the 7th and it was great! It was so cool to see all the toes and fingers and all of the organs. Seems that everything is developing fine and according to schedule! We opted NOT to find out the sex, though it is tough it is exciting not to know! Well, I am 19 weeks today and almost at the half way point. I can't believe how time flies.

My gut feeling is that we are having a boy; I don't know why but that is what I think. The Chinese calendar says it is a boy too. I guess we will all find out in 5 months!

Went for a tummy check yesterday. Everything seems to be progressing well. I am up 16 pounds now (yikes!) but the doctor assured me this is normal! Can `t wait for this little one to be here :)

Tuesday, 29 Jan

1/25/08. Had a quick (and I mean quick!) belly check. Nothing new happening except I am now up 20 pounds! My husband and I are both on the smaller side so I can `t imagine this will be a big baby but you never know. I had not been feeling the baby asmuch but the heartbeat was strong and after the doctor `s appt this baby started moving around more and more the past few days. We are still all set on a girl `s name -Madelyn Anne but are now debating the boys name. I really like Gavin Antonio or Gavin Sebastion (both middle names were my husband `s grandfathers) but my husband is not set. Our back-up boys name is Zachary David (or Antonio/Sebastion as middle names). I have my blood glucose test this week and have to go back in week 28 to get a Rhogam shot as I am Rh negative.

February Update:I have been slacking here...anyways this month has seen a lot of GROWTH! Belly is big and baby is getting stronger, more hard rolls than kicks or punches. I failed my 1-hour glucose test, stressed for the week in between the results and the 3-hour and then passed the 3-hour! So happy about that. Now I start going every 2 weeks and can `t wait for May. Still don `t know the sex. Names as of today are: Madelyn Anne for a girl. For a boy, the list keeps growing: Maxx Wiley, Maxx Sebastion, Sawyer Antonio, or Zachary David. I think we will wait to see the little one if it is a boy and then finally decide on a name. So far the weight gain has been steady - 26 pounds and 10 weeks to go! I will turn 30 in week 30 and can `t wait to meet this little one!

Yes, he seems to be alright now. He finished chemo 2 1/4 years ago. He has yearly check ups now. Next one, next week. The biggest worry now (besides possible recurrance) is the bad side effects from the chemo that can show up years later- heart problems,liver damage, eye, ear, nerve damage, joint damage(from the steroids they use to shrink tumors), even other cancers. Yikes! I try not to think about it. He's living the 'normal' life he yearned for while he was sick, that has to be enough for me for now.

I am so sorry that you experienced a miscarriage. Sometimes people don't understand how hard it is emotionally. I also have emotional flashbacks when it's around the time of one of my miscarriages. I am still concerned I'm going to lose this baby somehow, even though I'm way past the 3 month mark that I lost the others...Of course, we also almost lost our oldest son to cancer a few years ago- I am still experiencing post traumatic stuff from that experience.
Life is hard sometimes!

Aww! As long as you feel some movement I am sure everything is fine. Ya know they don't have much room to move around in there these days. When I had the no movement scare the doc told me that we should feel something about every 2 hours. Even if it is just flutters, everything is ok. I hope your doc appt tom takes your mind off everything and he can reassure you everything is ok!

when you buy nursing bras get a cup size up. They get huge when the milk comes in and you don't want to have them tight in your bra. keep in mind you may have to go up 2 cups just in case so it is best to go in for a fitting when the milk comes in.

so i went to the doctors yesterday and he was a riot! he said, do me a favor, don't talk to, look at, listen to other pregnant women. because of your height, you are not going to show like other women. the baby has too much room to grow. he said i might not show until 7/8 months. can you believe that??? part of me was like, awesome...but i really kind of want that baby bump! we'll see what happens!

I saw your question about nursing bras - from what I've read, you should buy 1 cup size up from your pregnancy size. That'll make me a D - I can't BELIEVE it! Pre-pregnancy I'm a B cup... it's so strange to look in the mirror and see my cleavage reaching up under my chin, lol! I haven't had any leaking yet at least. Hope you're well - drop me a line sometime! You look great by the way...

thanks so for the heads up on the gdiapers :)...hehehe. I had already bought some of the liners and had ordered one of the cloth outer diapers...and the stick, for my toddler. i figured i would try it out on him first. I am about to start potty training him, and if figured that by him seeing me flushing it in the toilet that it may be a nice introduction...maybe even let him flush it himself. If i end up hating it i will let you know too...LOL. From what you said, i am thinking i may not like them so much. Anyhow...CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Thanks for trying to help... But I've tried banana's and calcium the whole nine yards. I'm also very anemic so I have to make sure that I don't take in to much calcium, because it can block the iron absorbtion. So they say its just over stimulated muscles. But God Bless You and Your family!

Yes! My lil guy has decided to grow quite a bit in the last 2 days! Its seems like my tummy gets stretched out and I cant feel his moments that good for about a week then the next wk its constant stretching, kicking, and prodding in there! (I have a very active baby so I totally notice it)

I have the same problem when I walk! I just have to slow it down a notch and try not to walk to fast or too long. I went for a walk today and had a terrible pain but when I sat down it went away. I dont think its anything to worry about!

Well, I'm starting to get a bit bigger. When I went home, my mom took me shopping...I got some clothes and two belly bands, so I'll be prepared once I can't wear my regular clothes. So far, I still fit...but I dont think that will last too much longer. And we are still going to wait to find out the sex...we love the element of surprise. You guys are still going to wait, right??? I'm thinking it will give me the extra umph to push when the day comes!
