10/12/07: Had a little scare over the past few days with right lower abdominal pain, no bleeding. Went to the MD and they decided to do an u/s just to be sure. Finally got to see my little guy/girl and every looked good. They think the pain is from stretching of the uterus but I go back in 2 weeks for another u/s.

Tuesday, 23 Oct

Pain is gone. Now I am hungry and FAT! Go this Friday for scan to see the spine and neck for Down's Syndrome. I am already a little nervous about it. Will update after!

Sunday, 28 Oct

10/26/07. Had the u/s and blood test for Nuchal testing and checking the spine. Things seemed good! Baby did NOT want to cooperate though...the u/s tech needed the baby to look straight ahead and baby kept their head turned. I had to roll onto my side, then the tech had to push on my stomach and still the baby would not move its head straight. Once she finally got a good picture, the baby wouldn't stop moving! So funny...I already have a stubborn kid hee hee! Just like the parents :)

11/26. Had a quick belly check at the MD's today. All is well, heartbeat 137. I love hearing that heartbeat...I could listen to that all day!!

Go for the big scan on Dec 7th but we are NOT going to find out what the sex is. I think waiting will be hard but make the delivery that much more exciting!

Also, I am up 10lbs now...feeling fat and moving to maternity pants for comfort.

Dec 7:
We had our big, anatmoy scan u/s on Friday the 7th and it was great! It was so cool to see all the toes and fingers and all of the organs. Seems that everything is developing fine and according to schedule! We opted NOT to find out the sex, though it is tough it is exciting not to know! Well, I am 19 weeks today and almost at the half way point. I can't believe how time flies.

My gut feeling is that we are having a boy; I don't know why but that is what I think. The Chinese calendar says it is a boy too. I guess we will all find out in 5 months!

Friday, 28 Dec

Went for a tummy check yesterday. Everything seems to be progressing well. I am up 16 pounds now (yikes!) but the doctor assured me this is normal! Can `t wait for this little one to be here :)

Tuesday, 29 Jan

1/25/08. Had a quick (and I mean quick!) belly check. Nothing new happening except I am now up 20 pounds! My husband and I are both on the smaller side so I can `t imagine this will be a big baby but you never know. I had not been feeling the baby asmuch but the heartbeat was strong and after the doctor `s appt this baby started moving around more and more the past few days. We are still all set on a girl `s name -Madelyn Anne but are now debating the boys name. I really like Gavin Antonio or Gavin Sebastion (both middle names were my husband `s grandfathers) but my husband is not set. Our back-up boys name is Zachary David (or Antonio/Sebastion as middle names). I have my blood glucose test this week and have to go back in week 28 to get a Rhogam shot as I am Rh negative.

February Update:I have been slacking here...anyways this month has seen a lot of GROWTH! Belly is big and baby is getting stronger, more hard rolls than kicks or punches. I failed my 1-hour glucose test, stressed for the week in between the results and the 3-hour and then passed the 3-hour! So happy about that. Now I start going every 2 weeks and can `t wait for May. Still don `t know the sex. Names as of today are: Madelyn Anne for a girl. For a boy, the list keeps growing: Maxx Wiley, Maxx Sebastion, Sawyer Antonio, or Zachary David. I think we will wait to see the little one if it is a boy and then finally decide on a name. So far the weight gain has been steady - 26 pounds and 10 weeks to go! I will turn 30 in week 30 and can `t wait to meet this little one!

Thanks for commenting about my babies weight. I was worried, but I guess alot of people said he's fine and give it some time, he'll catch up. He has normal wet/poopie diapers, so thats good, i guess i'll just wait and see, besides i like him small, he's so cute!

I woudn't get up at night, but after you feed him in the morning, pupm a little bit (to have totally empty breast). You body should get the signal that you still need all milk. Good luck!

I only get an average of 18oz a day, but I pump 3 times a day and nurse 2-3 times a day. I know that sounds bad, but I am in the military and work the midnight shift. Then when I get hm I nurse her, then take her to daycare so I can sleep. We went without daycare for the first month I was back at work and my supply dropped drastically and I was a sleep deprived wreck. So She spends 16 hrs a day away from me. But only till August! Then I get to return to day shift and I will see my baby again, lol, this is her first wk at daycare, so it is still hitting me pretty hard every morning when I drop her off... I just keep saying, it's only two weeks of this crap, only two weeks, lol!

Hi hun...hows everthing going out there in western mass? I use a tea to increase my milk supply and fatty content of my milk, it's called Mother's Milk and you can find it at like a whole foods or in a whole food isle at the grocery store...it's helps for digestion too...I pump 5-6 oz twice a day so I get nearly 12 oz everyday at work for the next day...Hope this helps!

my son has to get his blood levels checked since he was born ...we did it like 3 times already its nerve wrecking...no matter how you try and think positive you can't help it and start worrying. I'll keep you all in my prayers..

I haven't dealt with weight issues in particular, but know about getting tests done on baby. It is difficult and I advise you to take someone with you! And I wish you lots of courage. I'm sure your little one is fine given that he has gained so much weight since birth. Best wishes.

Sorry you have to go back to work! I'll be in the same boat in late August. It sucks I know. but be thankful for the time you did get (Is a positive way of looking at it). pumping and working can work just take those herbs and be consistant. good luck!

hey dee rod, I pump and supplement too. i think it's ok. he gets a lot of mommy's milk and a lil formula is fine that's what it is there for. Do't feel bad for giving him formula honey if the bulk of his diet is Breast milk than don't worry about it it won't make a huge difference. probably you are expereincing an emotional response to the doc saying "your milk isn't enough" which is understandable and his opinion might not eeven be accurate. get a second opinion. my guy was 7 weeks premmie and does great with supplementing a few ozes a day. they eat like 30 right?

My lil Gracie has GERD and is strctly a breast baby. She did EXACTLY what you are describing and after countless doc visits and one 3 day hospitalization she is on Prevacid ONLY and is doing EXCELLENT, we have a brand new baby! I would talk to my doc about Prevacid...Zantac and Reglan did NOTHING and even a GI specialist suggested a milk protein allergy and had us switch to formula - NONE of it worked but when we started her on Prevacid everything changed immediately. It was AMAZING!
