10/12/07: Had a little scare over the past few days with right lower abdominal pain, no bleeding. Went to the MD and they decided to do an u/s just to be sure. Finally got to see my little guy/girl and every looked good. They think the pain is from stretching of the uterus but I go back in 2 weeks for another u/s.

Tuesday, 23 Oct
Pain is gone. Now I am hungry and FAT! Go this Friday for scan to see the spine and neck for Down's Syndrome. I am already a little nervous about it. Will update after!

Sunday, 28 Oct
10/26/07. Had the u/s and blood test for Nuchal testing and checking the spine. Things seemed good! Baby did NOT want to cooperate though...the u/s tech needed the baby to look straight ahead and baby kept their head turned. I had to roll onto my side, then the tech had to push on my stomach and still the baby would not move its head straight. Once she finally got a good picture, the baby wouldn't stop moving! So funny...I already have a stubborn kid hee hee! Just like the parents :)

Tuesday, 27 Nov

11/26. Had a quick belly check at the MD's today. All is well, heartbeat 137. I love hearing that heartbeat...I could listen to that all day!!

Go for the big scan on Dec 7th but we are NOT going to find out what the sex is. I think waiting will be hard but make the delivery that much more exciting!

Also, I am up 10lbs now...feeling fat and moving to maternity pants for comfort.

Saturday, 8 Dec

Dec 7:
We had our big, anatmoy scan u/s on Friday the 7th and it was great! It was so cool to see all the toes and fingers and all of the organs. Seems that everything is developing fine and according to schedule! We opted NOT to find out the sex, though it is tough it is exciting not to know! Well, I am 19 weeks today and almost at the half way point. I can't believe how time flies.

Saturday, 8 Dec

My gut feeling is that we are having a boy; I don't know why but that is what I think. The Chinese calendar says it is a boy too. I guess we will all find out in 5 months!

Friday, 28 Dec

Went for a tummy check yesterday. Everything seems to be progressing well. I am up 16 pounds now (yikes!) but the doctor assured me this is normal! Can `t wait for this little one to be here :)

Tuesday, 29 Jan

1/25/08. Had a quick (and I mean quick!) belly check. Nothing new happening except I am now up 20 pounds! My husband and I are both on the smaller side so I can `t imagine this will be a big baby but you never know. I had not been feeling the baby asmuch but the heartbeat was strong and after the doctor `s appt this baby started moving around more and more the past few days. We are still all set on a girl `s name -Madelyn Anne but are now debating the boys name. I really like Gavin Antonio or Gavin Sebastion (both middle names were my husband `s grandfathers) but my husband is not set. Our back-up boys name is Zachary David (or Antonio/Sebastion as middle names). I have my blood glucose test this week and have to go back in week 28 to get a Rhogam shot as I am Rh negative.

Friday, 22 Feb

February Update:I have been slacking here...anyways this month has seen a lot of GROWTH! Belly is big and baby is getting stronger, more hard rolls than kicks or punches. I failed my 1-hour glucose test, stressed for the week in between the results and the 3-hour and then passed the 3-hour! So happy about that. Now I start going every 2 weeks and can `t wait for May. Still don `t know the sex. Names as of today are: Madelyn Anne for a girl. For a boy, the list keeps growing: Maxx Wiley, Maxx Sebastion, Sawyer Antonio, or Zachary David. I think we will wait to see the little one if it is a boy and then finally decide on a name. So far the weight gain has been steady - 26 pounds and 10 weeks to go! I will turn 30 in week 30 and can `t wait to meet this little one!

Thanks...I just posted our birth story. Please check it out

Good luck with bed rest and induction. When are you being induced? I think we are going to tell her that if she doesn't respect our wishes then she isn't welcome at all. My husband fully supports me and the stress of all this. If she isn't going to respect our wishes- she doesn't need to be there. Everyone else fully agrees that just calling everyone is the best idea. She is driving my husband nuts too. I am more than okay calling and requesting her not to come. I just didn't want this to get to game playing and I am worried it will. Otherwise- she can show up and I will have her escorted out.

Thanks! After 9834098120842 shots one had to come out good! ehehehe
how are you feeling?

brandi0881 - Monday, 14 April
I don't have the BP problem. And I really hate it when people compare my pregnancy with other pregnancies, but to try and calm your fears...I know a girl that had her baby back in March. She was a month early, they had to take her because of the BP problem the mom was having. She was a small baby, just a little over 4lbs...she had to stay a few extra days in the hosp but other than that the baby is perfectly healthy. I just wanted to share in hopes to make you feel a little better!

kbabynumber3 - Monday, 14 April
I don't know how tall you are, but if you are like me, he may have dropped, but still have his feet in your ribs! I am short and just don't have a large torso and it seems like he is stretching every bit he can. It was the same with the other two- and they were only 6 lbs 8 ozs! I had my other kiddos at 38 weeks, so I am REALLY keeping my fingers crossed history repeats its self!

quick question....during pregnancy have you dyed your hair....and if so did it turn out the color you wanted it? i read somewhere that b/c of hormones it could alter the color. any feedback would be great. Thanks! so great to hang out last night...make sure you keep me posted w/ any progress you might be making. and let me know if i can do anything...especially w/ the b/p thing. steve and i can bring over dinner some night and hang out. just let me know!

Hey! I am sorry to see that your BP is rising. I have had good blood pressure but I have elevated levels of protein in my urine. Due to the pitting edema and the protein, my doc wants to be very careful. She went ahead and put me on bed rest a few days ago. I hate that it will take time away from my little angel but I am not stressed from work (sales) and my pitting edema and swelling has gone away. Well, most of the swelling. I have to go to the doc twice a week now and they monitor the baby each time. Also, my doc is delivering me at 38 weeks so I'm thrilled about that! Only two weeks until I meet my son which is good considering he weighs 6 lb 11 oz! Please try to take it easy. As long as I was at work, I felt miserable. It may be a good thing for you to be put on bed rest. Hey, its one of the last times you'll get rest. =) Take care!

brandymomof2 - Friday, 11 April
awwwwwwww hun im so sorry i got it with my daughter and they didnt catch it until i was already in labor i could have had a stroke they gave me this really really nasty metal tasing stuff and it made ,me puke through the whole pushing part all i remember is at the end my bp was 170/112 this time i have to have a c section but im thankful because there is nothing worse than that awful awful stuff they gave me i hope i helped

WeeBerry - Friday, 11 April
Hey Girl... sorry to hear you're so upset! I know how you feel - it was the same for me when I got the news that my placenta was too low. I REALLY didn't want a c-section either, and I was so disappointed. Unfortunately I have no control over this, and the ultimate goal is to have a healthy baby with as little complication to their health as possible, right? Try to stay positive - it's the end result that matters. We are so blessed! Hugs, Cran

andptyof6 - Thursday, 10 April

MelGrl - Wednesday, 9 April
You know it's strange because as excited as I am and ready to be home with my baby, I don't want him to come early at all; not late either but I just want him to stay in there until his due date and come out healthy and all so I try and just remember that I am blessed to have a job I love and that I only have 26 days until my due date. I just hope that I don't sound like a complainer about the whole working thing too much. My brain does just really feel like it has taken a break. I think that is so cool that your hubby is finishing school then you can prepare for #2 because you have your career that you can always go back to after staying at home if you choose.

branbug - Tuesday, 8 April
Yes I hear ya! Part of me wants to stay home and the other part know's it'll go by so much slower if i do! Even though i have two other children so they keep me pretty busy! i swear when i clean they go behind me messing it up, LOL I am cleaning everyday! You have a lil while before that happens though. I am thankful though they are excellent kids, very well behaved and listen to everything I say. I have been blessed. All i can say is always stick to your guns, whether it's you or your husband, never go back on something you say...it's the easiest way to loose their respect. Good luck to you!

babyboysmama - Monday, 7 April
Yea, it's about an hour. Greenfeild isn't really close to me, I think it's in between me and you though, not positive. I'll be joining you in week 36 tomorrow :) Hope you're feeling well!

babyboysmama - Friday, 4 April
I'm in Ayer, MA...not sure if you know where that is, but it's off of route 2 right after leominster/fitchburg.

emma1230 - Monday, 31 Mar
hey there! I had my first early, and I was insanely puffy everywhere, but I had high blood pressure. I think the high blood pressure is the main factor. Some women just retain lots of water... if your dr tells you not to worry, i wouldn't.. there's nothing you can do anyway! hang in there! we are almost done :)

brandi0881 - Sunday, 30 Mar
I was just wondering the same thing. My hands and wrists got sooo puffy today. I had all those contractions last night, I am just wondering if I should be watching for anything else. I haven't lost my plug yet so maybe that is a good sign!

MommyinMD - Saturday, 29 Mar
I am definitely going to have my baby room in with me. I want to have that bonding right away, and not have nurses be the ones to look out for her (except for the things that they need to do). Nurses at the hospital where I deliver told us during a tour that if a baby starts crying because they are hungry, that means they've been hungry for half an hour already and sometimes it isn't until they cry that the nurses bring them to you. They also said that if the nursery is full there is no guarantee they'll get to your baby immediately when they start crying. I can't stand that thought, so I'd definitely rather have her with me so I can begin to see her signals myself. A different nurse told me that moms who have the baby room in with them feel much more confidant about caring for baby on their own when going home, as well. Ultimately, you have to do what you feel most comfortable with though. Best of luck to you!

tawnytiger4 - Saturday, 29 Mar
1st baby roomed in and it was great - 2nd baby was in ICU for 8 days and I really missed that time . but he was almost 9 weeks early. hope this baby can room in ....

tawnytiger4 - Saturday, 29 Mar
if mine had been a boy was going to be Caleb Alexander-- lol was the only boy name I had picked out....

zauber4 - Saturday, 29 Mar
I think rooming in or not is a personal choice. For me the first time I had my child all the time with me in the room. I felt more comfortable that way. Not that I didn't trusted the hospital staff, for me it just worked out better that way.

MilMom2Be - Wednesday, 26 Mar
Hate to tell you this, but everything I have read says the swelling in your feet will go down, but the actual increase in the joints- which is what makes them a size bigger, is permanant. Ulgh, what we do 4 our babies, huh?!

MilMom2Be - Wednesday, 26 Mar
Lol, I was wayyyy too happy when that kit got here, it made me feel, I don't kno, really prepared for baby. Do you kno what I mean? Lol, well glad someone got something good out of that rambling post!

babymomma88 - Wednesday, 26 Mar
I understand where you're coming from. I'm sweating while I sleep, every time I fall asleep. I've even started using a fan at night. It's very weird.

momofboys - Tuesday, 25 Mar
No this is my 4th! I know I can't believe it myself. When someone asks I am shocked to say oh this is my 4th. Well I think you will be back in shape in no time! You may even be a bit more voluptuous (sp?). I always think after kids it fills your body out to a more womanly shape. How close are you wanting your children? I think 2 years is good. My first 2 are 2 years apart almost to the day. They are best friends!

momofboys - Tuesday, 25 Mar
LOL! I got back to my start weight after the first two, it fit different. Do you work out a lot? If so then you should have no problem!
