MY BIRTHING STORY!

I was supposed to have my scheduled C-section on 11/6 @12pm but to my surprise it didn't happen that way. It was Halloween evening and I decided to take the walk with my mom and daughter for trick or treating. I have never missed a trick or treat night with my daughter so I decided to go. The only reason I went, I went to the doctors that morning and my doctor told me that I wasn't going into labor any time soon. Well the joke was on me. We got back at 8:30 and my mom stayed until 9 and I jumped on the computer to kill time. Around 9 or 9:15, couldn't really tell you since I didn't really look at the clock, I heard this pop, I looked at my daughter and said did you hear that. Of course she didn't and I jumped up since I thought I was going crazy. All of a sudden a gush of water went down my leg. I ran so quickly to the bathroom and grabbed towels and shoved them between my legs LOL! I called the hubby and told him I am leaving to the hospital since my water just broke. My daughter grabbed my purse and my keys, we were off to the hospital. I got to the hospital at 9:30pm, parked my car on the second floor and took the elevator down. We walked very slowly since I could feel the more water come down. We went up to labor and delivery and I told the nurse that my water broke. She looked at me with this stupid look on her face and said they were really booked and they didn't have a bed for me! I said that I was suppose to have my C-section that following Tuesday. Boy did all the nurses jump up, they quickly took me off to the recovery room where they have one bed left. They hooked me all up to the machines, my nurse introduced herself to me and said if I had any pains. The nice thing was I didn't feel a thing, my hubby finally shows up and the nurse gives him the scrubs to put on and told him that he had to hurry. Now mind you it's now 11pm and she said they need to get me into surgery ASAP. Now not feeling any pain apparently I was having contractions every 3 minutes and never knew it. I was almost dilated to 10 and they didn't want the baby to come out naturally, so I was sent off. It was 11:20 and they gave me the epidural and was completely numb. I was laying there and they let the hubby in. All of a sudden I started to smell this nasty burning smell. The hubby said they were cutting me open. Before I knew it I hear this loud cry, the doctor's were laughing since he was still in my stomach and only his head was sticking out. My little man was very angry from the very start, he didn't want OUT. They get him out and he is screaming so loud. I started to cry, he is so beautiful, he had all this hair and very fair. My son was born on Halloween night at 11:39pm and I am so happy that he is here. He is 15 days old today and he trys to stay up during the day which is nice since he sleeps well at night but he gets very fussy during the day.

NOVEMBER 5 2007

Hey everyone, I finally had my son! I went into labor early and had an emergency C-section on Halloween. The joy of seeing my son for the first was beautiful. He cried while his head was just popped out of belly. The doctor said he was angry that they took him out. He weighed 7lb 7ounces and was 18inches long. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday but I had to leave my baby. My baby has severe Yellow Jaundice and they had to get him better. I cried all they way home yesterday, I wanted him home with me. So I am getting ready now to go breast feed him and see what his doctor says about him being better today. I hoping he tells me that my son can go home. I will post pictures up later.

November 29th 2007

Today my son smiled at me for the very first time. He is almost a month old and I totally cried when he did it. I love him so much

December 1st 2007

Today my son coo'ed for the very first time, he was very interested in the sound he made that he continued to to make it. It's very awesome to have my son here. He is so loving and wants lots of love. It always makes me emotional just thinking of it.

December 9th 2007

Now knowing that I have to go back to work in Feb, I am getting a little nervous on getting my son bottle trained, since he is fully breast fed, tonight was the first night he finally took the bottle, he put my mind at ease. I will continue breast feeding him but to know that he will take the bottle helps alot.

December 12th 2007

Today was a happy day for hubby and his big sister, he finally looked at them and smiled. The hubby was getting kind of upset since he wouldn't smile at him LOL. Now he smiles at everyone and just smiles all the time.

December 17th 2007

So since my son has finally got smiling down, I was wondering when he will finally giggle. Out of my surprise, I looked at him and said something and he just giggled. He has the cutest giggle, it reminds me of my daughters giggle when she was a baby. I love looking forward to all the new things he can do.

January 6th 2007

So my son has been laughing and giggling but he watches his TV show, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and out of no where he was giggling at donald duck, I think it's the voice that cracks him up. He loves that show.

January 11th 2007

So my son at night loves to suck on his hands while he sleeps due to teething. But now all he does he stares at his hand. He looks at it and just stares for a long time, then he tries to shove the whole thing in his mouth LOL! It's interesting when babies discover new things and what they try to do with it.

January 20th 2007

Yes!!! No more waking up every three hours, my son sleeps from 8pm-5:30am. Oh my gosh, I was so happy, finally to get some sleep, the only problem with this is, I wake up and my boobs are so hard and sore from not feeding at night, I hope it adjust to his sleeping habit.

January 21st 2007

My son has rolled over from stomach to back for the first time. He now can roll over both ways, I am so excited, I can wait to see what else he will be able to do.

June 29th, 2007

Well I haven't been on here for awhile, let's see Chris is up to alot. He is standing up and getting ready to walk, he is going to be 8months old at the end of this month. He is currently sick, he got a bad cold and soon to have 6 teeth. He is so funny, he is crawling and saying mama. When they are this age, they have their own personalities and know what they want. It's been so amazing to have a baby again.

August 10th, 2007

Well as of today Chris is walking and has had a great time eating solids. I have been making his baby food but now all he wants is what we eat. So I have upgraded him to table food but all the foods he eats does not have a salt or any flavoring added to it. He eats scrambled eggs (just the yolk), pancakes (no syrup), toast (no butter) or cheesy toast, chicken, beef, fish, lots of veggies, oatmeal and he loves fruit. He has done so good on foods, definitely not a picky eater. The doctor is so proud of him and is glad that he has done well on his good eating habits. Also, Chris loves water, I give him water when eats his lunch and dinner and watery juice for breakfast. He has mastered the sippy cup and now drinks from a regular kids cup. Now that he is walking here comes the potty seat. My daughter was a pro at the potty seat by the time she was 14months old. We started her the around the same time that we are going to start Chris. He is definitely interested in the potty, he already has one and has sat on it in the morning, he has gone pee in it twice already but I don't think he realized he did what he did. I can't believe my son is going to be 1 in three months.

Awwwww you poor thing. Anxiety will definately make it worse so try to relax, rest as much as you possibly can. Earlier on in my pregnancy I had to rest all the time because I'd been in hospital bleeding and for the next few weeks whenever I walked around I started to get really bad stabbing pains in my lower abdomen which always got better when I lay down. I know you must be scared but the stress will make it worse.Try to do stuff to take your mind off it and treat yourself to whatever it is that makes you feel good. Chocolate and bubble baths etc. Keep that chin up! ~:^)

wow...ya i hope everything turns out ok!! Better slow down the work load mama.

jojo13 - Monday, 16 Jul
Goodness me... I wonder what causes that to happen???? I'm so sorry to hear that but try not to stress because stress will make it worse and rest as much as you can. As long as baby comes out ok that's the main thing. Your little one must be too impatient to wait until full term! Keep your chin up and take it easy we'll all be thinking of ya. xxx

Why do you have to have a C Section??

cheryl315 - Monday, 16 Jul
I'm with you on the contractions issue. I'm 22 weeks today, and I've had awful BH contractions for almost a month now. Last week they were so bad, I almost went in to the hospital, but I just went home and laid down instead. Now I'm on intermittent leave at work so I can go home and lay down whenever I need to. My doctor says that if they get bad like that again (lasting more than 45 minutes without relief), I'll have to go to the birthing center to get checked out. So scary. This is my second (and last) and I'm terrified of going into labor this early.

Hi Deena, I think I've been getting some braxton hicks contractions too... havent had them diagnosed but I think thats what I've got. I've had them a few times a day for the last 3 days. I get a crampy feeling and my tummy from top to bottom goes all tight and rock hard... makes me feel uncomfortable for a minute or two then it fades. i was in the shop today when it happened and I felt like I should sit down but could'nt. Hope yours arent causing too many problems, and I guess it's just your body preparing for birth! xxx

Thanks, glad you like the pic. I took of myself, obviously. LOL It kinda stretched though, it makes me look thinner than I am. I'm fine. I'm flying out to Arizona tonight for my sister's baby shower. I'll be back on Sunday. How are you? Do you know what day in August your gonna have your 4D? I can't wait. Have a nice weekend!
