Friday, 20 November Well Alyssa is here sorry i have not been on i just got out of the hospital yesterday. I posted her birth story if you want to read it go ahead. She is a really good baby. She sleeps so good. Last night she slept in my bed and she slept from 11:30 to 6:00 this morning. I am really loving being a mommy of a newborn and 2 toddlers it is the best feeling in the world. It is so much work but it is all so worth it. I think my kids love her. xoxo robyn drakesmommyd -

Monday, 16 November Hi Hon. This is how it worked for me. Since my baby shower had not been planned because of the very early arrival and the fact that we had just moved into our house 2 weeks before Anelise was born....my family had my shower when she came home. We did not bring her though! Too many people and too many germs. We did a video of her and had many pics for our guests to see. As for the holidays...I made sure anyone who was going to hold her washed their hands. No sick people there either. Thank God. You just have to be careful. And please...if someone is feeling ill...don't let them hold her. I had a tough time when we celebrated all of the july peoples' b-days (in my family) because anelise had only been home for a month at that time. There were quite a few people at the birthday party...but everyone was good at not really touching her....just looking. LOL Anelise has been very healthy. She was sick last october and this october...ironically...but that's it. She's not in daycare...and during the first few months of her life home...we basically stayed in...especially when I was on maternity leave. I am very fortunate to have my father and my husband's mother care for Anelise as we are both working parents. I work eve/nights and hubby works days. So the care needed for her is from 2 to about 7:30. Not too bad. Eventually she will have to go to preschool and be around other kids...she needs that for development. Our dr advised us no daycare though....at least not until she is 2. Hope this helps. Tabs -
Monday, 16 November Hey ladies AF showed at 11pm last night, still not to sure why I was getting positives but I will never know.
I also was up all night with Reid again and myself with server stomach cramps, threw up once, nothing would make it go away. I finally got to sleep at 5 am and up at 7:30 with Reid, I feel so depleted but I will have a few coffees and I should be right. mother-and-expecting -

Sunday, 15 November DJ is 3 weeks old and he will not sleep in his co-sleeper/bassinett. It pulls right up and is flush with the bed, so I can touch him for comfort. But the only way to get him to sleep through the night (w/2-4 feedings a night) is for him to sleep on my chest. I have tried letting him fuss it out a bit, but he ends up fully crying. I have tried putting a heating pad in there (the pediatrician recommended that one) and even put a clicking clock on the side for him to hear it. I DO NOT want to sleep with my baby, but it's the only way I can get a few hours of sleep. Even then thought I am not fully sleeping. Does anyone have any suggestions? THANK-YOU!! BOOPY -
Saturday, 14 November That is wonderful!!!! Yeah, Anelise was on caffeine for a month after being sent home. My hubby and I make jokes saying she is going to be a coffee drinker one day. In any case....I'm so glad everything has gone so well!!! Better than great!!! Keep posting pics! I love watching how much these little miracles grow. xoxoxoxo
